Heyo!

Add "Naotoshi" in tags, might also add "orchestral"

Easy

  1. 00:30:987 (2,1) - stack
  2. 01:02:112 (1,2) - ds
  3. 01:27:612 (1,2) - 01:30:612 (1,2) - breaks are a bit in a weird place bc you ignore that main trumpet sound, would try someting like this rhytm instead if you want a break for these parts
or a 2/1 slider + circle could also work
Normal

  1. 00:16:737 (2,3) - adjust a bit so 00:15:987 (3,3) - overlaps in the middle
  2. 00:46:924 (2) - would place this on the next white to follow the main melody bc that unique drum is on the blue here, could try something like this maybe if you want to map that drum tho
  3. 01:06:612 (1) - would move that rode node a bit up to even the visual ds for 01:05:112 (1,1) -
  4. 01:06:612 (1,1) - bit more spacing between these where they almost touch to even it with the rest, looks a bit nicer
  5. 01:08:112 (1,1) - similar ^ on the first red node (might be fixed if you adjusted prev tho)
  6. 01:30:049 (3) - Would really make the end here clickable for that trumpet, control g the rhythm of 01:30:049 (3,4) - could work here for instance
Hard
  1. HS stuff applies to all diffs you if make any changes
  2. 00:40:924 (1,3) - same shapes? Fits the concept of the map better
  3. 00:41:487 (3) - tail hitsound should be a drum finish, same drum pattern as 00:35:299 (3,4,5) -
  4. 01:14:299 (1) - a soft hitnormal would fit alot better here since there's no hihat thingy and for better contrast
Top diff
  1. 00:42:799 (5,5) - These extended ones felt a bit overmapped while playing since there's no real strong extended sound here, would try a 4 circle pattern instead or if you want an extended one here try it at 00:44:112 (4) - instead since it has a stronger trumpet
  2. 01:11:862 (5) - NC would be nice here for readability since this comes a bit unexpected compared to the rest of the map
Solid set, let me know when you're ready!

Hard
  1. HS stuff applies to all diffs you if make any changes done
  2. 00:40:924 (1,3) - same shapes? Fits the concept of the map better I used a different shape for the second one because there I follow the main melody.
  3. 00:41:487 (3) - tail hitsound should be a drum finish, same drum pattern as 00:35:299 (3,4,5) - done

00:17:487 (5,1,2) - Looks cool visually but i confused it for 2 extended sliders when playing.
00:47:862 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - I think starting on a lower spacing and growing to the same size you finish right know would artificially create a more exciting pattern (cause the song is pretty constant tbh)
01:16:174 (3) - adding another sv increase for these sliders would enhance the intensity of this last section a bit more to create a more noticeable contrast between the two kiai

Hard

00:31:362 (1,2) - why even put a red anchor in the middle
01:39:612 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) - i got confused playing this. The rhythm in the music sounds more like a 4-4-1 (It was Fine in the top diff because of how monotone the higher spaced triangles were to play.)

Normal

01:08:112 (1,1) - you could change the angle at which the last curve in 01:08:112 (1) - blankets under 01:09:612 (1) - to move a bit further away from that pointy edge. https://puu.sh/zgu8p/8812ce48eb.png

Easy

01:36:612 (1) - I think it would fit in thematically better if you mapped a circular slider instead of a stylized one since the trumpet note is kinda constant and gives off this grand feeling.
01:39:612 (1) - remove the whistle? normal-whistle sounds kinda out of place (and the other diffs just ended on a finish)

solid, just rank it already lmao

also add "2" in the tags xd

Hey ^^

[Wyvern]

00:27:424 (3) - Move that one 1pixel down and 1 to the right so that (1) and (3) are perfectly stacked
00:33:424 (3) - ^ similar thing here.. i know its barely visible while playing but still xD (2px up)
00:36:424 (3) - ^ (1 to the left)

[Hard]

00:48:612 - I dont like how you didn't map that part :(.. It doesnt differ at all from 00:54:612 (1) - So I guess you could add the same rhythm patterns really quick, shouldnt take more than 5-10mins right :P
01:30:424 (4) - Maybe this stack will confuse some players, since you didn't use this in any other part of this diff ^^, maybe try this: https://puu.sh/zkIGu/ef698b6aee.png
01:36:237 (5) - This pitch is very high so maybe you could try and use some higher spacing here ^^ Something like this or maybe even higher: https://puu.sh/zkIHM/3feef59b35.png

[Normal]

00:48:612 - Same as in Hard ^^

[Easy]

Clean stuff :3

I hope I helped ^^

01:39:612 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) - these ncs and grouping don't make much sense since the emphasis in the song is clearly every downbeat, 1-2 pattern fits a lot better imo...

Normal

  1. 00:16:737 (2,3) - adjust a bit so 00:15:987 (3,3) - overlaps in the middle i don't really mind that since there's a few other objects between these in the timeline
  2. 00:46:924 (2) - would place this on the next white to follow the main melody bc that unique drum is on the blue here, could try something like this maybe if you want to map that drum tho
hmm i'm hearing a melody sound on that red tick tho, and none on the white tick
  3. 01:06:612 (1) - would move that rode node a bit up to even the visual ds for 01:05:112 (1,1) -
  4. 01:06:612 (1,1) - bit more spacing between these where they almost touch to even it with the rest, looks a bit nicer
  5. 01:08:112 (1,1) - similar ^ on the first red node (might be fixed if you adjusted prev tho) these are intended to look a bit more rough
  6. 01:30:049 (3) - Would really make the end here clickable for that trumpet, control g the rhythm of 01:30:049 (3,4) - could work here for instance i see what you mean but i have this rhythm for variety since this song has a really repetetive rhythm, and this was one of the few instances where i could change white / red tick emphasis around a bit from the usual pattern because of the even drums

A r M i N wrote:

[Normal]

00:48:612 - Same as in Hard ^^ it's good to have a break in the middle of a map in the lower diffs, and it feels natural to me to do this after a chorus section. the part where i start to map again has an additional melody instrument added so it feels more intense (and i also follow that instrument)

00:17:487 (5,1,2) - Looks cool visually but i confused it for 2 extended sliders when playing. I extended the spacing after the 3/4 slider a bit to make it stand out even more as one of the few 3/4 sliders, but in general, there are many clues like the vastly different shape
00:47:862 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - I think starting on a lower spacing and growing to the same size you finish right know would artificially create a more exciting pattern (cause the song is pretty constant tbh) ithe song is building up into the cymbal though
01:16:174 (3) - adding another sv increase for these sliders would enhance the intensity of this last section a bit more to create a more noticeable contrast between the two kiai nice idea, done

Hard

00:31:362 (1,2) - why even put a red anchor in the middle  idk why I did that tbh, I removed them lol
01:39:612 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) - i got confused playing this. The rhythm in the music sounds more like a 4-4-1 (It was Fine in the top diff because of how monotone the higher spaced triangles were to play.) I already explained this to Nao but I am mainly following drums with some improvisation that is pretty intuitive. Also here the small spacing I started with that extends into the bigger one should do the job of introducing the pattern, especially as it's just all 1/2.

also add "2" in the tags xd done

[Hard]

00:48:612 - I dont like how you didn't map that part :(.. It doesnt differ at all from 00:54:612 (1) - So I guess you could add the same rhythm patterns really quick, shouldnt take more than 5-10mins right :P I didn't map this because I mainly focussed on the strings that come in to play at 00:56:112 - with the long sliders. If I'd map that, the intensity would be totally messed up because the first section would be much denser even though the second one is just the same and adds another layer.
01:30:424 (4) - Maybe this stack will confuse some players, since you didn't use this in any other part of this diff ^^, maybe try this: https://puu.sh/zkIGu/ef698b6aee.png I doubt Hard players would have a problem reading this, I think it's pretty straight forward and just moving it a few pixels off wouldn't really fit the visual style of the diff
01:36:237 (5) - This pitch is very high so maybe you could try and use some higher spacing here ^^ Something like this or maybe even higher: you are right, changed the patternhttps://puu.sh/zkIHM/3feef59b35.png

[General]
  1. i've always been contrary to the usage of hitnormals replacing claps or any other sounds that are supposed to stand out from the music. mainly because i believe it's not the way hitsounds should be used, as it breaks some few things. people using custom samples probably won't hear any hitsound pattern when playing the map. there's also the fact that your map would convert like shit to taiko LOL (more than usual). i dunno if you actually care about this but i believe there's no harm in fixing it though i wouldn't blame you if you think it's too much of a hassle
[Wyvern]
  1. 00:33:424 (3) - even though the melody allows you to use a 3/4 slider, i don't think it's a good idea, mainly because of the rhythm that comes later. using a triplet right after a 3/4 slider is kinda confusing especially when it's not something that you do very often in the map. i think that any of these options
option 1, option 2, option 3 are more intuitive and actually make more sense with the music as 00:33:987 - doesn't really warrant such an emphasis
  2. 00:49:174 (3,4,5,6) - 00:59:674 (3,4,5,6) - the movement could be more consistent with the patterns that come later on (00:50:674 (3,4,5,6) - 00:52:174 (3,4,5,6) - 00:55:174 (3,4,5,6) - , just to point a few) i just found it weird that these two are circular seeing that similar instances use a completely different type of movement
  3. kinda concerned about the usage of 1/4 sliders at the ending part. i feel some of them are unnecessary as they kinda blur the emphasis some of the beats receive, as for example, i think that 01:27:049 (3) - could be replaced for a circle so that the 1/4 are focused solely on the melody. i could say something similar about 01:35:299 (2,3) -
  4. 01:33:237 (6,7) - related to the point above, i think you could've used 1/4 here as the pitch goes really high
[Hard]
  1. 01:32:112 (1) - i didn't really like the fact that the slider passes through such an important sound in the most intense part of the song, although the red anchors somewhat represent it so i guess it's fine. could at least align the anchors with the slider tick for that nice touch?
[Myxo's Normal]
  1. i think you could generally use longer combos, especially on those instances where the music density decreases. there are combos that are 1 or 2 objects long which defeats the purpose of having combos as the effect is the exact opposite
[Nao's Easy]
  1. 00:47:862 (1) - too confusing for an easy. i mean it doesn't make sense that even normal uses a simpler rhythm . it can easily be changed for a long long slider like myxo did

option 1, option 2, option 3 are more intuitive and actually make more sense with the music as 00:33:987 - doesn't really warrant such an emphasis The music only really does this once too and that's why I have used a spacing that's really small + a different slidershape so that it looks visually different from everything else. I haven't changed the rhythm but made the distance smaller now.
  2. 00:49:174 (3,4,5,6) - 00:59:674 (3,4,5,6) - the movement could be more consistent with the patterns that come later on (00:50:674 (3,4,5,6) - 00:52:174 (3,4,5,6) - 00:55:174 (3,4,5,6) - , just to point a few) i just found it weird that these two are circular seeing that similar instances use a completely different type of movement I see that it might be a bit inconsistent but I did this for the first and last pattern of the section as basically an introduction to the patterning with an easier comfortable flow and then I picked it up again at the end to show the transition into the next one. However, I made the spacing between these two much more consistent now to make them at least fit the visual concepts.
  3. kinda concerned about the usage of 1/4 sliders at the ending part. i feel some of them are unnecessary as they kinda blur the emphasis some of the beats receive, as for example, i think that 01:27:049 (3) - could be replaced for a circle so that the 1/4 are focused solely on the melody. i could say something similar about 01:35:299 (2,3) - Already talked about this ingame but I only use the 1/4 slider technique when I follow drums as a filler between the main melody parts and in these sections inbetween the drums that are grouped together show a pretty strong impact which is why I have mapped them as 1/4.
  4. 01:33:237 (6,7) - related to the point above, i think you could've used 1/4 here as the pitch goes really high Same point as above, I only used 1/4 for main melody in cases like 01:31:924 (7) - to complement the speed and impact of the pattern concept.
[Hard]
  1. 01:32:112 (1) - i didn't really like the fact that the slider passes through such an important sound in the most intense part of the song, although the red anchors somewhat represent it so i guess it's fine. could at least align the anchors with the slider tick for that nice touch? fixed
[/list]

Thanks a lot! I'll wait for Myxo and Nao now and call Wishkey for rebub.

i disagree that it is too confusing, to play that you literally need to sit still. compare it to the rhythm in the hard diff, the normal is the one that stands out of the progression since it goes spaced stream > 1/4 repeats > long slider > 1/2 repeat... if it was necessary to move at all to hit that i'd agree but that isn't the case here.

i dont think easy level players will be using custom skins, since they're new to the game. i really don't care about stupid 4mod players looking for rank 1s at all, and i doubt they listen to the song while memorizing 2 star maps anyway...
in this diff, the abundance of whistles means that replacing normal hitnormal with clap would result in every single clickable being a kat (blue) which means that normal-hitnormal is a better solution for taiko diff.
Myxo
fixed, thanks
