Learning how to play sliders?

I've really been struggling with sliders since I started. I find that most of my combo breaks are also from sliders even on easier portions of songs.

There are also cases with songs like these where my mouse hand gets extremely confused with sliders going in completely separate directions from the original movements to the notes.

Would it be better to try playing more of these maps, or are there any good maps of a slightly easier difficulty? I would appreciate the advice/ map suggestions!

(Also if someone has that K-on slider map and the other 4* popular practice slider map *forgot name* I would love the link b/c I can't seem to find them)

Those maps are pretty hard for their star rating tbh so it doesn't reflect how hard the maps really are.

And if there's anything I'd say is learn how to alternate for these kinds of map (use one button for one slider and another for the next slider), compared to singletapping you don't have to release the buttons as early so it's easier to keep the combo.

Hard sliders like those usually starts appearing after 4* and onward so I dont really know much maps with easier star ratings sadly

I did read that alternating this way can lead to bad habits eventually? What's your opinion on that?

Also I'm ~100k rank, I think 5 stars is a bit much for me..

Edit: Oh, did you mean the 4* one? I think I broke every slider x.x

alternating is good

tap all the circles and don't tap extra. spamming/uncontrollable tapping is acceptable sometimes but you still need to tap the right amount of times.

Alternating is something you'd have to learn too eventually tbh, it helps with doing some maps or if the map you're playing is way too fast. Some people alternate as their main playstyle too so just don't mash the keys and try doing it with some control.

I'll have to consider trying to get back to alternating. I used to full alternate up till around 9k playcount but found hit was killing my aim.

Anyways, any other good maps?

I've read taht somewhere too,but the guy who said that meant when alternate ppl tend to spam keys more often on hard parts of the map instead of trying to read them => which leads to bad habbits.
I agree with that but, my main playstyle is singletap, played with that for year and now I learning alternate(coz... reasons). Aand it looks fine, I'm not spamming. I bellieve you'll be fine if you aware of that. Just read stuff properly, do not mash buttons and you'll be good.

In MY opinion alternate at everysingle slidder it's one of the worst ways to have consistence, acc and keep the rythm. And when ScoreV2 come out it's going to kill the acc from everybody who it's doing it. You have to tap the slidders as they are single circles. So you respect doubles at slidders, triples and streams. Making you understand much better the song rythm.

Other thing it's alternate like you are singletapping changing the fingers. But for do that you have to know how to single tap properly with 1 of your fingers, single tap properly with the other one, full alternate properly and then combine both styles using other diferent style.

OP: Single tap isn't only use 1 finger. Check autoplay mod playing some maps to REALLY understand when to use the 2 finger and why (and when don't use it), and associate it to the hitsounds.
