Coming from my
modding queue.
General:
- Try tilting sliders by some angle. Vertical or horizontal straight sliders don't look gold and more like old mapping. Try to turn them
so they fit the flow better.
- Copy paste sliders to make your map look more tidy and organized and make sure objects have the same spacing everywhere when packed together. This makes maps look really organized.
- Puit timelines on top of the notes they should begin on. This works perfectly fine.
- Don't map vocals since the drawn out length of them doesn't allow for regular rhythm most of the time. Map drums, flute and synth sounds
rather than vocals.
This is a big beginner mistake, so be careful about mapping vocals because they don't properly represent the rhythm or intensity
other instruments provide.
- use distance snap on easier diffs to keep distance consistent. There are some inconsistencies probably because you moved objects afterwards without checking for distance after that.
- Check AIMod, your backgrounds resoultion is too high
Normal:
00:01:989 (3) - Consider moving this note on top of the head of 00:02:322 (4) as well as moving it forward by half a beat, that is if you want to map the drum here. If you want to map the synth consider moving 00:01:822 (2,3) both a beat forward and adapt your placement accordingly which would make more sense since the 00:02:322 (4) focuses the synth sound too. Rethink this part.
00:01:989 (3,4) - fix blanket, the 00:01:989 (3) is the base of the stack not the 00:01:822 (2) (if still applicable after the previous change)
00:19:489 (5,6) - this seems weirdly shifted to the right. Make it look more nice?
00:23:322 (2) - You don't need to indicate flow by putting this circle down but this is just my opinion.
00:28:489 (2) - The green line here seems to be set too late?
00:29:989 (1,2,3) - Consider adding a note inbetween here since the section is intense and the drums support it.
01:21:822 (1,2,3) - ^
00:31:489 (4,5) - Add a circle before this for the flute sound
00:17:655 (2,3) - Sliderends seem to have stronger sounds than the head.
00:17:655 (2,3,4) - Add circles inbetween these?
01:04:989 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6) - try to add some variety (it would be best to change at the new combo since vocals change so you could reflect that), different slidershapes could be enough
01:16:488 (2,3) - I reommend to make this 2 notes and a half beat slider since you are skipping over an equally strong sound
Hard:
00:11:322 (2,3) - This jump will be misinterpreted as a 1/2 beat jump, change spacing
00:11:822 (4,4) - Reduce stack leniency so those don't stack with each other.
00:20:822 (5,6) - This was earlier used to represent a double (00:11:739 (3,4)) Give the player some visual cue whether it's a double or a simple half beat gap.
00:29:989 (2,3,1) - Add a note inbetween, the stack is telling the player that there is a triple when there is not, very misleading
00:30:489 (1) - Make the slider end on a sound (make it half a beat smaller seems approoiate here.
00:31:489 (2) - Place a note before this, a note where the slider head is, make this a half beat slider and move it half a beat to the right
00:31:989 (5,6) - this is a double (move the 5 one beat to the right, should be better but you may want to cover the weird 3/4th gap up with a slider.

01:09:655 (8) - Don't go style over flow with the blanket here. This flow bad into the next object, mirror this on the y-axis
Maybe design the pattern like this (this includes mirroring the sliders 01:08:655 (5,6) from before):
01:22:655 (4,5,6) - flow seems messed up here, try this:
01:24:822 (2,3) - this slider flows bad into the other one. Conside letting the 2 slider point down rather than up. Look at this:
You can also see how I didn't stack the different notes based on their time distance. You should try establishing this "code" through your whole map. How you do it doesn't matter that's just an example.
Insane
- You were very hesitant to use higher spacing. You cling too much to distance snapping when you should emphasize sounds.
- Slidere velocity is way too low, especially in the chorus. When there are important sounds increase spacing and for intense sections increase spacing and slider velocity.
- don't overlap objects randomly. Either you have a reason to do it or you already did it all the map for some specific patterns but that's not the case here. (example: 00:22:489 (2,1,2,3))
00:01:156 (3,4) - This is weird flow (make this two linear sliders like 00:07:155 (3,4) ?)
00:01:989 (1,2,3) - higher spacing
00:03:322 (2,3,4) - ^
00:06:489 (1,2) - fix blanket
00:08:989 (4,1) - Remember that you will be leaving the slider on it's head so try to account for that when placing the circles after^^
00:02:655 (1) - I would make this 2 very high spaced circles since this section is quite intense
00:10:655 (1) - ^
00:03:989 (1,2) - those passive reverse sliders don't fit the intensity
00:08:989 (4) - This could be a stream or multiple kicksliders
00:09:822 (1,2,3) - You can increase spacing on each note a bit more (suggestion)
00:11:155 (2) - delete this
00:11:322 (3,4,5) - make those bigger jumps
00:11:655 (4) - This can be made a slider (suggestion)
00:11:989 (1) - delete this
00:12:155 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,1,2) - Change it to look like this to follow the music better (Try to think about why I used objects like that)
Apply this kind of rhythm to other parts of the song too.
00:16:655 (8) - make this slider 1/4th beat shorter and put a note or slider where the end was to make the important ending sound clickable
00:15:655 (5,6,7,8,9) - arrange those sliders like this to make it more of a consecutive line
00:17:322 (1) - delete this
00:18:155 (3,4) - don't place those below a slider like this because this indicates a double after the slider most of the time
00:19:322 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - Think of better patterns and try to emphasize important sounds more. Also use some sliders in here since it's not that intense.
00:20:989 (1) - Consider making this a halfbeat slider and placing a note where the end was
00:21:489 (3,4) - higher spacing
00:23:322 (1,2,3,1,2,3) - those pattern are too easy and not sufficiently spaced. You can use triangles from the polygon note creation tool instead and change them to fit the map
00:24:655 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) - You don't have to increase spacing on those that much since they also require some reading, but consider not just stacking them. It's not about creating random patterns but reflecting the music
00:28:655 (1,2,3,1,2,3) - The second 3 notes should be higher spaced than those before since the vocals get louder here
00:29:989 (4, 5) - Put a stream or kicksliders here
put a double at 32:072 and 32:739, this is an insane so this is appropiate
00:33:155 (1,2) - fix blanket
00:39:822 (4,5) - overlap them more or get some distance inbetween those
00:44:822 (6,1) - make those a slider since you did it for 00:43:489 (3) too for basically the same sound
00:51:822 (5) - make this a stream or multiple buzz sliders until 00:53:155 (1)
01:04:655 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,6) - this is a clusterf***, please remap the whole chorus
01:13:989 (3,4,5) - There is no reason for this to be a stack instead of jumps
01:16:322 (4) - either remove this note or emphasize 01:16:489 (5,6,7) more
01:20:989 (7) - make this a one beat slider and delete 01:21:322 (1)
01:21:822 (4,5,6) - emphasize those more than 01:21:322 (1,2,3) because the vocals come back
01:24:489 (2,3,4,5) - think of a better pattern
One tip for the future: Sliderends should never have a stronger sound than the head unless you have a very good reason to do so. Try to decide early whether you want to have a more slider heavy or slider lacking map and change the ratio of circles to sliders according to the part of the song you're in.
