I was wondering if when making a beatmap if I have to have the creator of musics permission or if that's something that we don't need around here. Thanks!
Specifically want to know if there's any conflict with NewGrounds license and Osu. I don't believe there is as they state: Share Alike: If you alter, transform, or build upon this music, you may distribute the resulting creation only under a license identical to this one.

I just can't use it for commercial use. Right?

Play safe, map song that remix by independent artist/DJ/Composer that has no intention to commercialized/sell their song.

Alright. Thank you.

For the record, you can always map any licensed song without permission, but don't be surprised in case your beatmap was taken down. It should be fine in most cases, as this kind of thing doesn't happen often. You can always ask for permission, in case you want to be completely sure you can map it.
