  1. Not going to look that much into how this should be done, but this band name is 閃靈 and Chthonic, as it's also used, could perhaps then be used as the romanized one. Tho I don't think 閃靈 really translates to chthonic nor types out as such so I'm not sure how this should be done.
  2. Same drill with the song name, which originally is 暮沉武德殿
  3. Tho what mixes things up more is the fact that they release 2 versions of their albums, "original" and "english". Like the album this is from (original 武徳 and english one called Bú-Tik). They are singing in english in this one so this is most likely from the english one. However, according to the name you have, it can also be that this is from the video album where this track is called 暮沉武德殿 / Defenders of Bú-Tik Palace which would then explain the title you are having. Unfortunately that album has 2 versions too, original 演武 and english Ián-Bú. So tbh, I'm pretty confused on what to do. But since you most likely should know where you got this shit from, you can perhaps use these information to decipher better what to use as the metadata. Even if it's from the video album, I guess adding the name of the album where this was first released to the tags in both languages would make sense

  7. 00:12:695 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - pretty drastic change visually but especially gameplay-wise to this stream, while the music stays exact the same lol. Like, yeah, cool patterning idea, but then be consistent with it
  8. 00:22:895 (4) - stream begins already at here and would thus just map it that way. And same with all the following same places
  9. 00:26:720 (2) - It's fine to have kickslider of 3 and then one circle, but then you need to express it somehow, since player will be excepting kickslider of even rhythms, one beat in this case. NCing 00:26:795 (3) - and then clearly changing the stream direction from there would make it less confusing
  10. 00:30:095 - already mapped few rhythmically correct, now back to ignoring the one sound. Consistency?
  11. 00:49:745 (1,2,3) - this kind of patterning is usually used when 00:49:745 (1) - would be at the white tick, so it plays like triple but covers all 4 1/4 of the beat. Now this isn't positioned like that and thus the patterning is kinda weird, since there aren't really any changes to map differently the sounds that aren't even located at emphasised beat

  13. 01:36:695 - yeah with the circle-only emphasis this section looks pretty neat. Same drill as earlier with 01:46:295 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - tho. I recommend you just keep with the more straightforward streams, they deliver the larger picture emphasis better imo

  22. I think this last kiai is slightly overboard considering the music doesn't really jump off the charts with some new bad-assery. Also kinda broken stream shapes like 04:45:620 (8,9,10) -; 04:50:420 (8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16) - (the overall curve shape isn't good). Also not really sure if turns like 04:49:595 (13) - are necessary, but there isn't really anything that much wrong with it either
  23. While it works the current way too, I'd recommend you to just time the ritardando in the end, making the object placement for the last objects more exact.

Well you could always just use some kicksliders instead to capture the correct rhythm then. Unless you specifically want to keep the 1/2 jumps that is, and even then kicksliders covering 2 notes each would play about the same. But anyways it's up to ya ^^

overall this map is very fun but it might not be suited for rank due to some consistency issues. the approach and general structure of the map is good its just that sometimes i think you vary things too much just for the heck of it

00:05:195 (4) - no need to end on yellow tick, artificial difficulty combined with SV
00:12:095 (3) - no need for SV change
00:12:695 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - like this stream shape :D
00:13:895 (1,2,3,4) - why random change in hitsounding for this one? either do this for all previous ones or dont do it
00:14:795 (4) - no need for SV change
00:17:195 (4) - ^

  1. youre kinda inconsistent with the say streamstacks are handled, you use them only like half the time. for consistency apply that concept to all streams of a certain length (1'd recommend 7 notes) or scrap it entirely, since i think that going all-or-nothing on this would establish the concept better
  2. 00:12:695 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - stuff like this where the stream starts/stops repeatedly is p uncomfy (also this is sorta inconsistent w the previous streams since theyre more or less the same sound yet the stream movement is vastly different)
  3. 00:47:795 (1,2,3,4,5) - for shorter 5 note bursts im not sure the stack gimmick is necessary since that makes it look kinda ugly lol
  4. 01:43:895 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - kinda inconsistent with the streams like this in the intro (since the intro streams of this kind had the 3rd 4 note combo as moving)
  5. 01:59:195 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - maybe you could nc 4 (splits it up into 2 3 note bursts which can be read as 1/3) or do some other thing to indicate that this is a 1/3 burst instead of 1/4 - applies to a bunch of other stuff too

Intro stacked streams - I like them, they're a cool idea. And I would be fine with them, except that they only appear twice.

You introduce this concept, then use it only one other time in the map at 01:46:295 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) -
Which makes it, rather than a core gimmick of the map, a small annoying gimmick that players need to look out for the one time that it appears after the intro. And I differentiate these triple stack in the middle streams from the quad stack streams and triple starting streams because they are definitely way harder to play than the other two. Right now it appears twice in first half, and not at all in the rest, but the player will be on the lookout for it, expecting it. And it won't come. And the problem is that you can't really add another one as there isn't another time of the musical pattern you map with this. I don't think this is an unrankable issue, but it might bother some people.

The main problem i have with this map is that the streams change direction inconsistently (for example 03:39:020 (16) - is a change on the blue tick whilst in the same stream the change is at 03:39:695 (9) - which is a white tick), This is common throughout the map and i feel you should go back through and make all streams consistent

  15. 04:45:090 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16) - haven't found a reason why those have less spacing. my bad

I think this map is good but it can use some polishing like making it look more geometrically correct or have equal space inbetween objects. Also I think that 2nd kiai can be more interesting and diverse.
