Hi~ Stefan & Lyawi. from Stefan's M4M queue. :3
My modding is include personal feeling & suggestion.
Please feel free to ignore, If my modding affect your mapping style.

d = don
D = big don
k = kat
K = big kat

  • [Stefan's Kantan]
  1. 00:16:152 (26, 27) - I feel this duplet sudden. how about 00:16:152 (26) move to 00:15:983 or delete.)
  2. 00:20:365 (34) - move 00:20:534.(I think this is more fit, If you follow piano sound.)
  3. 01:18:174 - how about move this to 01:17:500~? and change to k for drum sound.(this point more fit to triplet imo.)
  4. 01:18:343 (133) - change to k~? (for consistent k rhythm for drum.)
Finally, we can fixed like this.

  • [Futsuu]
  1. 00:35:871 (33) - how about change to k~?(for express different with (34). and it can make symmetry like this.)
  2. 00:38:567 (43) - same opinion. maybe we can change to k too.
  3. 00:41:938 (55) - ^
  4. 00:46:657 - add note~?(I feel break is little long..)
  5. 01:24:410 (182) - just suggestion. we can change this to d for symmetry pattern with next ddkk.(exactly, 01:24:410 pitch is lower than (181) a little.)

  • [Muzukashii]
  1. 00:15:140 (48) - change to k~? (consistency with 00:12:444.)
  2. 00:56:601 (247, 248) - swap this~? so make kd. (because 00:56:601 has high pitch.)
  3. 00:58:286 (254) - change to k~?(follow electronic sound pitch and reverse pattern with 00:55:590 (243, 244, 245) - dkd.)
  4. 00:59:298 (258, 259, 260, 261, 262) - change to kkddk.(I think 00:59:972 same sound with 00:57:275. k is more fit. and it's a reverse pattern with next ddkkd.)

  • [Oni]
  1. 00:08:736 (25, 26) - swap this~? (follow piano sound.)
  2. 00:12:107 (38, 39, 40) - change to kkd~? (same reason above, more fit to piano sound and consistency with 00:14:803 (56, 57, 58).)
  3. 00:17:500 (72) - change to k. (It's same sound with (71). so please make that same.)
  4. 01:31:826 (571, 572) - change to kk~? (for same set with 01:31:152 (568, 569).)

Sorry for short modding~
I think it's really nice map already.
hope this ranked soon. GL~! :3
FlamingRok
Heya, doing a M4M from Stefan's BN queue! Not gonna lie, this map's pretty well constructed, so the following are mere suggestions only, and nothing here will change the rankability of the map. With that being said, let's get this started!

d = don
k = kat
D = large don
K = large kat

[General]

If Kantan is at 6.5, why is Futsuu at 4? Futsuu I think could work well at 5.5, though then Muzukashii looks odd. I think the final spread could look like either 6.5,5.5,4.5,5.5 or 7,6,5,6. Suggestions on the HP, because it looks odd.

[Stefan's Kantan]

General: It was initially a bit offputting to see a Kantan at this high of a difficulty, but after scanning through the diff, I can see that it's certainly meant to be a bit of a more difficult Kantan, possibly like a 5* in the Taiko no Tatsujin games if we're to make comparisons. Well constructed still.

00:16:152 (26,27,28) Despite this being a more difficult Kantan than normal, I would still say for the beginning of the map, this might be a bit of a challenge with the varied spacing and different colors. Either change 26 and 27 to k, or change 28 to d. Personally, I think the first not only matches some pitches, but also keeps the pattern integrity that you planned out past this.
00:50:365 (88) Kinda the same story here, but I think the only way to make this one work if you change it is to change this to a k. Because this is later in the song and could be teasing towards a more difficult section of the map, this is fine, but I'd still consider just making this gap monocolor.
01:13:286 (121) This does match the song as is, but the k d k ddd d from before worked nicely not only because of how it matched the song, but also because of how friendly relatively it was to play as an advanced Kantan. For this reason, this note could work as a k as well to keep the friendly playfield in tact. Your choice, as it fits the song just fine as is.
01:21:376 (138,142) Matches, but having 142 as k would make this section a bit easier to play. Then again, right after this, you do a similar idea but it works there. If you wish to match your future idea a bit better back here, 138 could also work as a d. Either or none, all play well enough.
01:37:219 (179) And once more to match the idea you planted back in the kiai time with this similar pattern, I think this could stand well to be a d, and it also works nicer with the Ds at the end.

Super solid diff, hard time finding these nitpicks honestly.

[Futsuu]

General: Also a bit harder than normal Futsuu, but that's fine. The kiai time is mapped really well, no issues there no matter how hard I look.

00:30:477 I get that this is likely for variety, but this gap feels really weird compared to the other 3/2 gaps you created before. I'd say to keep in line with the other times you mapped these sounds, you could add a k here.
00:31:994 (21) A bit of a nitpick, but I realized that throughout this entire difficulty with the exception of one part, there are no quintuplets in this difficulty, and unlike the future quintuplet, this fifth note isn't mapped to anything super significant. It works for what it is, but moving this to 00:32:163 and changing this to a d keep the similar pattern building you made during this section.
00:42:949 (60) Whoa whoa whoa, let's not scare the Futsuu players, and you never use this coloration for 3/4 gaps again! Please change this to k, it's a bit of a quick change of pace for Futsuu players, and it doesn't match up with anything else you've mapped in the song.

Nice mapping~

[Muzukashii]

General: Solid, one or two things I'd like to address though.

00:13:286 I think a note could fit to be right here, as it also creates a 1/1 gap with the next sextuplet.
00:21:545 (80) Okay, I see where you're going here, but I have a few problems with this triplet in general. The first is that it adds another triplet variety, which wouldn't be so bad if it were used anywhere else in the song. This is the only instance it appears in, and so it just kinda awkwardly sticks out. I think kkk as a triplet doesn't change much at all in playability, and makes more sense thematically.

Just those few inconsistencies, but they mean a lot.

[Oni]

General: This felt ontrack for most of the time, but it seemed to deviate for seemingly no reason here and there.

00:26:685 (130,132) Throughout the rest of the song, you map around the idea of monocolor based streams, but this pattern kinda breaks that. I think ctrl+g these notes and that fixes it pretty much immediately. If you really want to authenticate the monocolor based streams here, you could also change 00:26:938 (133) to a d, but that's your choice at that point.
00:40:337 (223,224) Can stand to ctrl+g these as well if you want to stay in tune with the monocolor based streams, but that's your choice.
00:50:702 (298) This triplet doesn't really raise red flags as it is, but this note is a bit low, so I'd say d works well here.
00:53:961 (316,318) I think for certain, these can be ctrl+g, as this is the only 1/3 stream in the entire song, it doesn't need to be complex, and it still fits the monocolor theme you're rolling for most of this song.
01:37:725 This is a more off beaten suggestion, but if you want to build up to the ending of the song, you could add a d here despite it not being a very prominent sound. This is more or less mapping to the feeling of the song rather than the actual song itself, so it's possibly a bit controversial.
01:38:230 ^

Probably the weakest diff, but by no means bad. It's still quite good in fact. It just felt a bit out of tune compared to the other diffs in this set.

Again overall, solid set. Sorry for the mod being a bit long, I always decide to go indepth with these mods.

Hey I'm here from Stefan's BN queue.

Here is da mods!!

Stefan's Kantan
- This Kantan seems fine IMO but you use a lot of 1/2 triples and that can be kind of hard for Kantan players. I'd suggest nerfing them just a bit, you choose which ones you want to. :)

Futsuu
- 00:14:803 (40) - consider changing this to a k i think it plays better when i tested it.
- 00:30:477 - i think you should add a note here, possibly a k because it just feels weird and there is clearly a higher pitched sound there.
- Nothing more to say about this diff moving on.

Muzukashii
- 00:21:376 (78,79,80) - you should probably change this to a kkk pattern because using that kind of pattern you did will be too difficult for Muzu players. As for the finisher after it, make it a D instead.
- 01:09:410 (311,312,313) - 01:14:803 (344,345,346) - 01:18:342 (365,366,367) - 01:20:197 (377,378,379) - 01:22:893 (393,394,395) - I see that you like to use a bunch of ddk patterns, but don't overdo them because a Muzu should generally stick to monocolor triplets. I can hear that they fit well with the music but using too many can be a difficulty for the Muzukashii players.

Oni
- 00:26:601 (129,130,131,132,133,134,135) - For this pattern here try something like kkdkddk. It just sounds soo much better imo.
- WOW this is a FANTASTIC Oni and I don't think that there is much more to be said.

I really enjoyed this mapset, and I hope to see it ranked in the future. Best of luck! I even shot you a star i liked it so much :D

The cymbal sounds on 01:36:882 (177) - are similar to 01:37:219 (178) - , I don't really find it senseful to differ them in this case.

Super solid diff, hard time finding these nitpicks honestly. I always love people being picky for my difficulties!

I'd suggest nerfing them just a bit, you choose which ones you want to. :) I am still ongoing with the nerfs but also considering that Futsuu uses a lot of 1/2 rhythm so a balance needs to exist. Anyways, thank you for looking over it.

[Stefan's Kantan]

00:21:713 - // I'd delete that note to emphasize the next finisher
01:34:185 (168,169,170) - How about making those notes all kats? There are more snares than kicks, and would contrast well with the next cymbal imo

A bit difficult and weird rhythm, but patterns are simple enough to be a Kantan

[Futsuu]

00:04:017 - Change to d, same pitch as 00:04:354 -
00:09:410 - ^
From 00:22:051 to 00:32:837 - I think this part is a bit too dense for a Futsuu, so I'd delete some notes and make some patterns a bit simpler, you could use this as a basic structure for example: http://puu.sh/vRjug/83b85b3fc8.jpg
00:39:916 - // Delete this note and change 00:40:421 - to don? Would suit well for the piano imo
01:12:949 - Delete for a bit more lenghty break, It's a bit too dense again I think
01:18:343 - ^

I'd look a bit into the density, comparing with Kantan is a lot more dense

[Muzukashii]

00:24:579 - I think this extra note kills the flow a bit, consider deleting it
00:46:067 - Delete this kat, triplet is not necessary here imo
00:46:657 (198,199) - Ctrl+G? Snare sounds first and plays better
00:47:837 and 00:48:343 - Invert those triples, piano notes are higher in the first triplet rather than the second
If you did ^^^ change 00:48:680 - to kat

Kiai is a bit difficult, but I'll let it pass lol

[Oni]

00:08:736 - Delete? no piano there
00:40:506 - Move this to 00:40:169 - piano there
00:46:657 - k? snare lol
01:10:421 - kkd triplet there? The guitar solo is really clear there
01:15:815 - ^
01:21:208 - ^
01:23:483 - Delete? Melody stops there
01:36:713 - dkdkd there, drums call it
01:37:303 - Add d? Same reason as above

Good luck :D
Stefan
I may consider deleting 00:21:713 - later but I prefer it for now. Gonna see if more people agree with you. And 01:34:185 (168,169,170) - are ddd to have 01:33:848 (168) - and 01:34:860 (172) - (now changed) as k to be lighter. Thanks for the mod.

It's time to come into it again. I've needed my time.

Stefan, please give me an .osu file as soon as you can, or tell me what minor changes I can change for you so that I can update it soon. I will edit this comment to answer to Midnaait's mod somewhen later.

Edit:

well.. I was waiting for Taikocracy but I guess I will search for someone else then
Arrival
lowering the volume to 70 for the pre preview point part then putting it to 90 sounds better to me
lower it here 00:54:410 - again and re 90 for the kiai

oni

00:42:949 (239,240,241,242,243) - i'd definetly replace this by kkdkd, the kk start flowing better after a dk kd

01:07:893 - kiai's good although it could have been made a bit more interesting via some pattern differenciation

in muzukashii i really think breaks after a bicolour triplet should be more important.
it's also lacking a bit in breaks, dont hesitate to give like 2/1 breaks to players before main downbeats. if you have troubles putting some, tell me and i'll help you out.

lower diffs seem good except kiai in futsuu which repeats itself to much, diversif your patterning a bit. with kkd's for exemple.

Idk but it's weird to play for me (maybe it's just me and I am stupid or something). I like the rest

 by the way, in the muzu, do you think I should make 01:26:433 (385) - as a k?

Hello, I would like to mention some difficulty/spread issues existing in the lower difficulties of the set.

  • [Stefan's Kantan]

    Ranking Criteria wrote:

If a 1/2 pattern is used, the patterns must stay simplistic and be followed by a rest moment. For songs that follow a swing beat, this limit is 1/3.
  1. From 01:16:994 to 01:29:466 - there is no 3/1 or longer rest moments within this session while combining 1/2 triplets in the pattern chain, which is in fact quite similar to the difficulty of a typical Futsuu. I would suggest rearranging the pattern like this to allow break between every 1/1+1/2 cluster. (cursor at 01:23:062 - )
  • [Futsuu]
  1. From 00:11:264 to 00:29:972 - this part is rather consecutively mapped without 2/1 or longer breaks and the pattern chain is even longer than those in the kiai. I would suggest you to remove notes like 00:16:994 (47,51) - to crack the chain into smaller ones. This would help emphasize the intensity of the music from 00:18:680 to 00:22:051 - as well.
  • [Muzukashii]
  1. From 01:07:893 to 01:38:736 - despite this session being the difficulty spike, it would be better to use 3/2 rests to avoid consecutive mapping, given Futsuu has certain number of 2/1 breaks. You may delete one or two notes like 01:29:803 (401) - to achieve the said purpose.
Stefan
I do agree that the rule says this and that but considering how immense the differences are between Futsuu/Kantan kiai, makin Kantan easier for the sake of the rule... I feel uncomfortable with that. I can say I could remove 01:09:242 (108) - , 01:12:949 (119) - , 01:14:635 (122) - , 01:18:343 (133) - and preferably change 01:28:624 (158) - to 1/1.

so what's going to happen now? I'm not familiar with this

Arrival said he'll check around soon
Raiden
it seems you want to make some changes, go ahead

in addition, I think the muzu should have at least some 3/2 break in that kiai as well, lots of 1/2+1/4 grouped together :o
but at the same time Oni is super dense in 1/4 albeit simple patterns huuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhh middle way!!!!
Aurele
let me know if u wanna push forward again
Stefan
I will wait for changes regarding Futsuu/Muzukashii since it's currently counterproductive to do any changes for my difficulty rn.

I decided to take some time so that I can do some selfmodding again soon.

selfmodding changes I did:

[Oni]
  1. 00:00:983 (3) - to d
  2. 00:04:017 (12) - to d
  3. 00:06:376 (19) - to d
  4. 00:09:410 (27) - to d
That part had too many kat's imo. Playing this felt like "uh why would you use so many kat's"
  1. 00:15:477 (58,59,60,61) - changed to d k k d instead (already forgot what I had here before)
  2. 00:28:960 (144,145,146) - to ddk (kkd before)
  3. 00:43:202 (242,243) - ctrl+g
  4. 00:45:646 (258) - to d
  5. 00:46:152 (262) - made this to k
[Muzu]
  1. 00:04:017 (11) - to d
  2. 00:09:410 (26) - to d
  3. 00:34:185 (134) - to k because of the sound
[Futsuu]
  1. 00:57:107 (177) - to d because it's pretty much the same sound as 00:56:433 -
now going to the other things~

00:03:343 - Delete?
・If you following the piano sound, you must delete this. There is not piano sound.

00:05:365 (13,14,15) - ddk?
・a little same 00:02:837 (6,7,8) - this sound.

00:08:904 - k?
・This sound is higher than before.

00:30:477 - k?
・You placed k at the three before phrase (00:22:388 - 00:25:084 - 00:27:781 - ).
and following clap.

00:30:983 - d?
・There is kick sound.
(00:31:994 - same.)

00:31:742 - Delete?
・I think emphasis this kick sound (00:31:488 (161,162,164) - ) is better than now.

00:38:399 - Delete?
・If change to this, you can make switching phrase and expression piano more strongly than now.
because...the piano is interrupted 00:38:230 - .

00:39:747 - kdkkd?
・I think 00:40:084 - this kdkkd is sounding here.

01:17:500 - k?
・There is clap sound
(and 01:17:837 - d? make difference from 01:17:500 (465,467) - )

01:18:174 - d?
・kick

01:25:758 - k?
・01:25:758 (530,531) - There are stlongly sound... deden den de-n lol

01:30:646 (560,561,562) - kkd?
・Sounds like "kkkkd" at 01:30:477 - .
Muzu
00:21:292 - add d, 00:21:461 - Delete, 00:21:545 - change to d?
・There are many kick sound, should be change to mainly d.
very good map!

good luck! :)
