Hey, from my queue, nice song.

Farewell

Despite having an sb, you have a pretty distinct lack of hitsounds, even if you want to use the soft default set, you shouldn't just have every single hit as a hit-normal, it gets monotonous.

I feel like at times the AR feels a bit high, especially for such a low bpm, I think the map would benefit from the AR being lowered to just a flat 8

00:28:550 - I feel like sticking to the standard distance isn't necessary for every single non-jump, here it wouldn't hurt the play-ability to move this circle a bit right, but it'd look much nicer if it wasn't so cramped up against the slider path.

00:50:558 (4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5) - The flow of this part seems non intuitive, primarily cause of the switch from back and forth to forwards motion, This could be fixed by mirroring the 4 and 5 circles at the end of the pattern to the left side of the original pattern, or by restructuring the entrance to the jumps, Here's just one example

01:13:492 - here's another case of the note being uncomfortably close to the slider path next to it, it wouldn't hurt play-ability to move this circle slightly upwards, but aesthetically it'd look way better.

02:42:450 - I can't help but feel like having your first 1/4 slider appearing halfway through the map is a bit nasty, it probably doesn't matter to a decent chunk of the players playing this map, as it'll likely be a DT fest, but for the sake of consistency making this either a complete slider or two circles would be nicer to play

04:22:179 - Not sure how I feel about the 4 circle being there, I haven't noticed any vocal specific mapping earlier (Although correct me if I'm wrong about that) and it's a rhythm that has hardly been used throughout the map, I think removing this circle all together would work better.

05:10:712 - This is the repeat of the pattern from a couple points earlier, repeating is fine but however you choose to deal with the first instance of this pattern, you should do the same here.

Overall the map is very clean, just a couple aesthetics and a couple patterns that stick out, otherwise the lack of hit sounds makes the map feel incomplete. However I still really liked the map and the addition of a (mostly) subtle storyboard was nice, GL with this one.

hi, from queue

[ farewell]
  1. 00:08:627 (1,2,3,4,5) - even though 00:05:616 (2) - and 00:09:322 (2,3,4) - are the same sounds, you're making 00:09:322 (2,3,4) - feel more important because you click them. change 00:09:322 (2,3,4) - to a reverse slider for consistency with the previous patterns and to fix this problem
  2. 00:13:029 (2,3,4) - same deal
  3. 00:17:662 (2,4) - overlap
  4. 00:22:527 (1) - this doesnt even land on an obvious sound
  5. 00:24:148 - should be clickable, right now youre giving it the same amount of emphasis as 00:23:685 - which is waaaaaay weaker
  6. 00:35:036 (2,3) - youre missing out on a lot of sounds here that imo should be clickable (this happens a lot actually try to fix it)
  7. 00:48:936 (7) - should be removed imo since theres no sound on it + removing it will make 00:48:241 (6,8) - readable as a 2/1 gap
  8. 00:56:349 (1) - ^ (you have a lot of circles that land on imaginary sounds, remove them since they make the map overmapped)
  9. 01:01:446 (2,3) - kind of uncomfortable flow. predictable flow would be if 3 was somewhere inside the exit curve of 2 (like where 01:02:604 (2) - is) since that's a smooth movement.
  10. 01:39:438 (1,2,3,4,5) - stuff like this makes it unclear what instrument you're prioritizing - try sticking to emphasizing one instrument at a time. (also counts as overmapping since there arent any noticable sounds on the white ticks. 02:04:226 (4,5,6) - would be an appropriate rhythm choice for things like this.)
  11. 01:45:925 (3,1) - would look better if they didn't overlap, and instead 1 was as far from 3's body as 4 is
  12. 02:25:770 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - spacing is iffy, why is it so big when relative to the rest of the section this doesn't stand out in intensity
  13. 02:45:230 (3) - would be better if ctrlg'ed for more comfortable flow imo
  14. 02:50:094 (2) - maybe stack on the bend in 02:48:936 (3) - to look neater?
  15. literally most of the problems i can point out are just instances of 00:24:148 - , 00:35:036 (2,3) - , 01:39:438 (1,2,3,4,5) - , and 02:25:770 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - so i won't point them out anymore since i'm sure you can find them easily.
aesthetically solid map!

good luck!

Thanks for the mod!

For instances of me using sliders instead of circles, because this is a piano song with no other instruments I found that almost all of the piano only parts become circles if I make all the strong sounds clickable (which isn't that nice to play/look at). I also didn't want to increase the difficulty by too much, hence the sliders

Regarding the circles on 'imaginary sounds', there is actually a faint sound there. But, I still removed them because it can be hard to hear + easier to read 2/1 gaps.

Changed some places from your overlap/flow/little aesthetic advice, thanks!

Hey~ in fact i should have modded your map a bit later but tonight i felt like modding a peaceful marathon ahah. So yeah i had fun testplayed it, the storyboard was a good surprise. The mapping is really enjoyable during the kiai time so good luck for getting this ranked~

As always, only apply the mods if you 120% agree with it, hopefully you will find some useful material ahah xD

Global

First, i see you did some hitsounding which is nice but i suggest you put the sounds you are using (the one of your skin in fact) in the map folder. It is highly recommended so everyone will have the same hitsounds whatever the skin they are using.

About the storyboard, it was a great surprise, nothing too fancy and it fits well the music, but i think you should toogle the "wide screen support" in song setup -> design, so the backgrounds you are using fits the whole screen everywhere without black bands on the edges.

Lets go to the modding then :)

Farewell

00:07:701 (1) - Maybe no NC here its still in the previous piano melodic phrase
00:11:407 (1) - Same

00:22:527 - Maybe on circle here just at this 00:22:758 (1) slider head, since the piano actually starts here

00:26:928 (4,1) - Maybe those 2 are a bit too far away for a regarding the spacing you are usually using, try decreasing it to 2.2 or less i think

00:49:168 (7) - Maybe you should move this one to the head of the next sliders, just to contrast with all the blankets you are using

00:51:253 (1,2) + 00:51:484 (2,3) - Thats too big jump in a row, i mean it alright to have difficulties in a map of course but it some how pop out of nowhere since you are using a spacing much smaller before... maybe try to reduce a bit one of those jumps

01:10:712 (5,6,7) - Um okay im pretty sure those can of jump are more for 4.5* maps xD so i dont know maybe reduce them a bit

01:43:840 (5) - This one is just a bit too high, it can collide with the life bar of certain skins be careful

01:56:813 (2,3,1,1) - You are going too far beyond the 4:3 boudary :s
There are few more circle almost half out this boundary that i think you should fix too but i wont paste them all here you can find them easily

02:01:214 (4) - A coming back slider would be more appropriate to follow the singing

02:20:442 (2,3) - I would have those 2 more far away since in really the moment when the singer goes the highest
02:20:674 (3,4) - And then less spacing there since its the end of the melodic phrase

02:28:318 (3,4) - This spacing is really weird, you used the same kind of spacing before but it was during a small music climax and surrounded by increasing spacing jump, but in this case 02:27:855 (1,2,3) are really regular and suddenly a huge spacing

03:04:457 (1) - Not sure a NC is really relevant here

03:10:249 (1) - Maybe move this one at the head of the next slider

03:25:770 (4) - NC
03:26:465 (7) - And here too

03:50:789 (1) - This is really weird, the slider end when it should start, it think you should go for something like this (at 03:50:558) :

04:26:002 (8) - Maybe move it just a bit to the lower left (around x:340-345 y:205-209) so the reading will be less confusing

05:00:982 - Add a circle here since we are in the kiai time now

05:13:955 (4,5) - Those 2 are really too far away for no special reason i think

05:15:809 - Same as 05:00:982 here, so it creates a contrast with the moment where you have 1 circles before the chorus restarts singing

Really clean mapping overall, there are still work with the hitsounding anyway, really interesting patterns so yup good job eheh :3
