Enter the scene
a lonely streamer sits in his room and clicks circles the circles
The eyes of a couple hundred viewers are following his cursor
He clicks and clicks the circles

Enter the donation
its a donation that may range between 200 and 5000 €

And here it gets wild

Suddenly the circle clicking person starts screaming

WHAT THE FUCK MAN YOU CAN'T DO THAT
STOOOOP
*cue crying, more screaming, banging head on the table*

???
because its a lot of money for you doesn't mean its a lot of money for them. They clearly decided that the entertainment you provide is worth that amount to them, so what is the problem? Whats with this dumb reaction?
500 bucks isn't even that much, its about a months worth of rent (depending on where you live), that sort of money won't even last you two months if you're on your own. So what's all the fuss about?

Obnoxious.
Yeah, people spend money for things they like, some more, some less. D'uh. Do these people also freak out every time they receive their paycheck?

I KNOW RIGHT?

I sorta might do the same thing, but due to my hyper problem,I can't help it.
lol
someone gave them money for acting retarded and playing games

also i think streamers are pressured to do it, the cringe lords started it and others caught on because if they don't they look less appreciative

this definitely isn't a breakthrough nor is it unethical

i can see why this could be a valid strategy to cash in on more donations because some people just love to see silly overreactions, but that doesn't make it any less cringy.
Like the people that you see dancing for money.

Nobody over the age of 18 would think that some poor streamer sod, who pretends to click circles for a living, doesn't appreciate a donation over 50 euros.
if they feel pressured to look appreciative they're just being silly.

i never said anything about unethical, i just find it stupid.

I'm pretty sure that most of the twitch donation reactions are fake.

edit: that doesn't mean they aren't stupid though

I wouldn't accept donations at all but then again I have nothing that's worth to donate. But then I remember barely anyone's worth on twitch to be donated so I might be worth again.
