Hello mod from my queue~
Sunshine
  1. 00:55:646 (2) - could arrange so that it "blankets" sliderend of 00:55:135 (1) -
  2. 00:58:715 (3,4,5,6) - this makes no sense to play, the most dominant sound at 00:58:885 - is not mapped, also forcing player to tap naturally not so intuitive doubles with no basis or support from the music whatsoever.
  3. 02:09:027 - 02:09:283 - both strongest sounds not mapped, granted here making doubles is possible with musical support as well, but still the current one makes no sense.
  4. 04:00:590 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - same music as last chorus, but here mapped like this, drastically different to last time. Atleast make them consistent
  5. 04:57:180 (6,7) - unintuitive patterning, plays badly. Use kicksliders as in 2+4 or 4+2 or 2+2+2 or smth like that, but don't have the other one begin at blue tick when there's not important sound there
  6. 05:50:192 (2,1) - fix blanket
  7. 05:52:408 (1,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,1) - use sliders, there aren't that nice to play since the rhythm changes are hard to grasp. For that matter I would just time this ritardando too and not just use random ticks (listen to it with slower speed and you hear they don't snap) Also add one more circle to 05:55:732 (1) - and begin the spinner 1/4 later, makes more sense to have the sound clickable instead of spinning which doesn't have very exact starting point
  8. Spacing emphasis was kinda lacking here imo, and what I mean with it is for example compare 05:15:590 (1,2) - 05:44:226 (1,2,3) - visually basically the same distance, distance spacing basically very similar. Other one is from the last chorus of the song, very intense, other one from the ending, not so intense. Circles had some spacing changes done to them, but these slider patterns you used in this map stayed practically the same throughout the whole map.
Good luck!

  1. From 00:22:067 (1) - to 00:44:226 (1) - you mapped everything towards the left section and from 00:44:226 (1) - to 01:06:896 (1) - everything is on the right section, but you discontinued this style afterwards. This interesting gimmick reminds me of nandemo nai ya by monstrata. Is there anything I missed here if it's intentional? If not maybe make it more evenly spread?
  2. 01:39:879 (6) - This is a ghost note - it is mapped to nothing if you hear it at 25%. Maybe just make a slider instead?
  3. 01:46:697 (4) - There are a few noticeable ghost notes throughout kiai. You should go through it once more at 25% playback rate. Ghost notes are unrankable
  4. 01:48:061 (6) - ^
  5. 01:50:788 (4) - ^
  6. 02:08:516 (6) - ^
  7. 02:01:186 (3) - This is mapped to the drums, so this is correct. But it is the only one in the entire first kiai section you got correct. For consistency, maybe remove it or map it like this for similar rhythm?
  8. 01:51:385 (2,3) - This spacing is the exact same as 01:51:726 (3,4) - this spacing. It is very hard to tell 01:51:726 (3,4) - as players will expect it to be a 1/2 jump, try this placement?
  9. 02:15:590 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Arbitrary spacing. Maybe this is a kind of placements you're looking for? You can play around with the flow as long as it's logical
  10. 02:24:112 (3,4,5) - For these types of slider, you can actually just copy paste the first slider and rotate (ctrl-shift-r) is by 120/-120 degrees to get the same pattern, it will be neater
  11. 02:46:953 (1,3) - They are overlapping a little, perhaps move 02:47:805 (3) - down a little.
  12. 02:56:499 (1,2) - This one came right out of the blue, I guess it's fine, but remove NC on 02:57:180 (1) - to keep your NC consistency?
  13. 03:19:680 (1,2,3,4) - Since these are following the drums, the transition to vocal here 03:21:044 (1,1,1) - is very awkward imo, especially with another 2 notes following drums right after 03:22:152 (2,3) . Maybe just map to the drums here?
  14. 03:55:135 (1) - Cymbal crash sound I don't think it deserves only 0.87x spacing. Increase the spacing?
  15. 04:03:828 - Missing note for the drums which you are following here 04:03:999 (1,1,1,1) .
  16. 04:03:999 (1,1,1,1) - I don't think the NC spam here is necessary
  17. 04:40:135 (1,1,2,1,2,1,2) - Since the vocals are getting softer and fading, maybe decrease the slider velocity one by one slowly?
  18. 04:45:590 (1,1,1,1) - This is much more acceptable than 03:21:044 (1,1,1) - because you are only mapping vocals
  19. 05:08:601 (9,1) - Make a jump to emphasize the cymbal sound
  20. 05:25:391 - Here I noticed you missed this beat sound in all your kiais, 04:00:845 - and 02:09:027 (3) - It is a very distinctive sound I don't think you should avoid mapping it

Overall there's a lot of room for improvement. Structure and emphasis could be much much better (for example even spacing and emphasizing cymbal/Finish sounds better by making a jump). Also, you repeat many patterns throughout the map, which makes it very dull. Noticeable patterns includes 01:33:317 (1,2) - , 02:06:726 (4,5) - and 03:26:499 (1,2,3) - . Using them more than once is fine, but don't repeat it so much to the point it gets too repetitive it feels copy pasted, mix some new patterns in there!

Good luck!! :D

You can see there how the visual distance from 05:50:703 (1) - to 05:50:192 (2) - is different between the 2 sides of the first curve on 05:50:703 (1) - ;
For that matter the curve on 05:50:703 (1) - is too low to look good with this small distanced blanket anyways, since with the low curve the middle parts ends up being clearly closer than the ending parts, which you can also see here.

[ - Zekks - ] wrote:

I basically just mean how many 1/4 the kickslider covers. Due how the music is having more important sound every 1/2 beat and thus creating logically 1/4 groups of 2 -> 4, mapping that part with kicksliders makes most sense if you use kicksliders that cover either 2 or 4 notes, so that they cover the 6 notes you have there (so thus 2+2+2 or 2+4 or 4+2). Because the 6 notes there are positioned from white tick to red tick, 4+2 > 2+4 in this case.
Hope that cleared a little what I was meaning

hi, NM mod from my queue

Sunshine

General remark :

There is some confusion about some spacing on your map, for example, 01:13:288(2,3) and 01:22:237(5,6) are both stacked, are only within a few seconds, yet we have nothing to make the difference between the 2 patterns, although it's 1/4 and 1/2 ! The same problem go for some little spaced 1/2 and 1/4 streams, I'll not be able to recapitulate all the times it happens, so you should recheck your whole map anyway to chase this, because it's so confusing and then unrankable on any difficulty
You can also hitsound so many claps on the map, like, taken from a random moment of the map, 02:57:521(4) at the beginning of the slider for instance, I will not try to tell you the whole hitsounding because it would be too long but you get the idea I guess :)

Map itself :
00:44:737(2,3) - is 1/2 and some time after 00:45:930 is 1/1, and there is nothing to make the difference between theses 2
02:08:942(2) - this note goes at 02:09:027, make it a double and change the spacing in consideration
02:25:135 - Remove NC (see below why)
02:25:476 - Note here? (with NC)
02:31:357 - Note here
02:31:697(4) - I don't think a note here is good but why not
02:32:294(3,4,5) - Slider instead of 3 circles? from 3 to 5?
02:32:976(8,9,10) - Same, I don't feel the 2 triplets are appropriated
03:22:067(2) - NC
03:35:447(5) - I don't feel a 5 notes stream is good there, maybe a note then a triplet is better so remove this note?
04:00:760(2) - Same trick than at 02:08:942 : this note goes at 04:00:845 and make it a double
04:03:828(1,2,3,4,5) - This is typically what I was talking about 1/2 and 1/4 being the same (look at the stream before at 04:02:294(3,4,5)), this pattern is unreadable if you don't know the map, plus listening to the music, I would have make it a bit more jumpy
04:38:771(1) - Remove this circle and make the spinner end there? (just a suggestion)
04:39:794(3) - NC + I love the pattern beginning there
04:40:135(1) - Remove NC
05:25:135(1,2,3) -Make it like this for the rythm

04:38:771(1) - Remove this circle and make the spinner end there? (just a suggestion) Hitcircle here goes with the song, but thank you for suggesting it

This map's spacing confuses me. Some large jumps, some tiny not-even-jumps. Its just weird .-.

00:24:283 (3,4) - Try to make this fit in with the rest of the spacing around it.
00:27:010 - You just left out a note here ;-;
00:36:555 (2) - Make this flow with the slider beforehand. Like, ctrl+J would work, but somehow just make it flow.
00:40:476 (3,5) - Try not to overlap these so much
02:12:521 (1,2,1,2,3) - My opinion is, slower/softer part, so use a bit slower sliders. like maybe x0.80
02:26:840 (3,4,5,6) - Space the triple from the slider some.
02:31:953 (1,2,3) - make this part flow. Maybe curve the 3 around the 1
02:33:828 (2,3) - Dont overlap these sliderends.
04:36:044 (1,1) - Dont put the spinner end so close to the next note, so that they have time to focus back to the game.
05:53:857 (1,1,1) - I WANT to say there are bpm changes here, but im not an expert at it. So idk. I feel like it gets slower.

I am noob so smol mod.
Good luck Zekks!
