12/04/2017 - tried a version of DROP IT difficulty with adjusted patterns to have at least symmetry rather than just copypaste. Playtested a bunch and rejected, hard. Sorry if it seems like a lazy difficulty but changing it doesn't work.

20/04/2017 - trying lower difficulties that fit with the horizontal theme (normal2)

I don't know if the BG is allowed in general, but I'm a noob so I could be wrong. Since I don't want to just say "dat bg lel", I'll drop a mod.

00:00:216 (1,1) - The overlapping is a recurring theme in this difficulty. While it does fit the song, it is also confusing to new players. I would extend the sliders or move the note out from under them

With those small things aside, it's a well-done difficulty.

00:10:060 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2) - I'm not sure as to how acceptable these doubles are in a normal difficulty, consider revising them to sliders

BG: I'll change it, even though I've seen other, similarly styled images used. I'll keep it on highest diff, though.
Mass renaming of difficulties.
Easy -> Normal
Normal -> Hard
Hard -> Light Insane
Insane -> Heavy Insane
context: because of the low bpm, the star rating is relatively low compared to the complexity. I think it's more appropriate to follow the guidelines of difficulties rather than go off star rating, as you suggested. This also renders some of your modding null. Although, for instance, with Easy, I tried replacing the short sliders causing the overlaps, IMO it's appropriate for the difficulty, but was in the wrong difficulty category. Hence the renaming.
Normal(previously Easy)
Renamed. Reworked outro bit. Keeping the overlapping sliders. Lowered hitsound volumes. Added actual hitsounds :P

Hard(previously Normal)
Renamed. Lowered hitsound volume similarly. I quite want to use custom hitsounds, but I never know which ones to use, and I end up giving up. Shortened the repeat sliders, to make it more playable. Should be OK for a Hard difficulty. The doubles at 00:10:060 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2 should also be fine, since the rhythm is unambiguous it should be playable. NC's changed.

Light Insane(previously Hard)
Kept SV changes and diagonal squares. They're appropriate for Light Insane IMO. Changed some hitsound volumes.
00:06:310 (1,2,3,4) - buffered here, also changed to be one combo. Same for similar sections further into the song.

Heavy Insane(previously Insane)
00:06:310 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - keeping this. Without it, it doesn't fit between Light insane and Extra, I also quite like the crescendo. It's low BPM, so I don't think it's that big of a problem.
Also, volume.

Extra
keeping the spaced streams. similar reasoning. Star rating is an imperfect system. Difficulties are more appropriately defined by the guidelines, and the style is appropriately Extra. Although it's technically spaced streams, it's low BPM so easy to play. Volumes adjusted.

I'll use it as a template. Thing is, the reason I was using finish is because on the skin I was using at the time (with the generic high pitched hitsound), it was a similar sound but lower pitched. It sounds awful, however, with different skins/hitsounds. I was planning to use custom hitsounds for it, but never actually bothered to. I'll use yours as a template, that's very kind ^^ for the DROP IT diff, it's minor changes, I'll use a deeper/stronger kick. Otherwise, it's good and consistent. I've done this type of hitsounds on another song(unsubmitted) but it works just as well here. To be honest, it kinda works on nearly every song it seems.

changed colours(same in drop it diff) but not the pattern. It's a leitmotif

Did not change it. The music has a highlight with a pitch change, that's why I mapped it like this because it emphasises that.

They're also kind of awkward patterns, if i kept changing them up it'd make it harder to play, while with repetition, that's easier. Since it's the highest difficulty, I used it the most.
