How come when I put a song on dt, its not actually dted. Like, I put a 140 bpm song under DT and its only 210 bpm. And its not half the length either.

Double time only makes the song 1.5x faster, not actually 2x like the name would suggest

They could just call it something like "Faster mod" and halftime "Slower mod"

Real double time should be playing at 2x slower rate and HT should be the sped up mod because "you play it in half the time"
Double time is simply an expression which means "go faster", not necessarily twice the speed. And talking about semantics, Double Time can also mean twice the time has taken, which makes it slower--compared to it's opposite, Half Time which implies that only half of the time has taken, and means that HT should be faster.

Also I think it's because having it actually 2x would make most songs retardedly fast and stupidly difficult to play
You can experience true "double time" by watching a replay of a game you played (or just the auto mod) and pressing F. You can also click the button on the right side of the screen.
