testplay

i think ill just drop all my feedback on this as a mod

MX
tons of odd chord choices and the OD doesnt work really well with first the SR (which is pretty reflective of the difficulty) and second the LN usage
HP/OD 8 is the better setting imo

so uh... there's a lot of stuff i dont really get so ill just make a test reference diff
but ill explain some sections. Most of the stuff is for comfy and sections with tighter laning are attempted to be reinforced
00:06:131 - altered the laning because it is too heavy on one hand
00:18:565 - deleted note here to have a better transition to the double jack
00:30:802 (30802|3) - moved note here to 1 to:
1. avoid the 1/4 jack
2. Balance out the weight on the other hand
00:35:736 - added some notes starting from here for more impact
everything else is comfy points

here is the txt file for the test diff. Make a new diff and paste these and use this as a reference mod diff. You do not have to apply anything because this is reflective of how i would map this song given your constraints: http://pastebin.com/nr9uFW0Q

ron
how do you mod NMs :(

00:03:565 (3565|5) - to 4 for similar weight like that of 00:03:960 (3960|6,3960|4,4157|3) -
00:19:750 (19750|4) - ^ same reason but this time, you have 00:19:355 (19355|6,19355|4,19750|4,19750|6) - which implies a pattern that involved two similar doubles at a 1/1 gap somewhere which doesnt happen
01:04:750 (64750|1) - to 1
01:07:118 (67118|5) - to 3 cause other hand is so crowded
01:13:434 (73434|3) - ^

Hey. Mod queue thing. :) {M4M}
(I got to where I would have done were this an NM, so I'm going to take the initiative here and mod regardless)

Unfortunately, I'm not too well-versed in the art of 7K just yet, so I can only have a look at the first 3 diffs.
(There's nothing in a general sense that I can mention, so that's good. c:)

0|1|2|3|4|5|6 (fyi I currently use the default sdf (space) jkl. Right hand on space.)

EZ
Honestly, not much I can say about this difficulty, just a couple of playability things.
  1. 00:35:144 (35144|4,35539|5,35736|3) - This was a little bit tricky for me and my right-handedness. You could put this in col 0, since that column goes unused for a while, though any of 012 would do.
  2. 01:05:736 (65736|3) - Make a normal note for easier playing?
  3. 01:08:302 - What about like this? (May want to tweak for pitch relevancy going from right to left with the vocals)

Ron's NM
Again, not many critical suggestions.
  1. 00:20:934 (20934|2) - Double for pattern consistency? (like 00:22:118 (22118|3,22118|0,22513|4,22513|1,22907|3,22907|6))
  2. 00:24:486 (24486|3) - Move to col 4 for doubles pattern? (move note afterwards if applied, probably to col 6)
  3. 00:27:250 (27250|4) - Double for pattern?
  4. 00:28:829 (28829|3) - ^
  5. 00:30:407 (30407|5) - ^
  6. 00:33:171 (33171|3) - Make LN? (The support guitar is held somewhat here)
  7. 00:34:750 (34750|3) - ^
  8. 00:35:736 (35736|5) - Move to col 0 for pattern symmetry with 00:37:315 (37315|4,37315|2)?
  9. 00:36:526 (36526|3) - Move to col 2?
  10. 00:46:197 (46197|4,46394|4,46592|5) - 456 instead of 445?
  11. 00:46:789 (46789|0,46888|1,46986|5,47085|2,47184|3) - How about 04263 here to replicate distinct drum sounds? (Two different drums, two different hands.)
  12. 00:49:355 (49355|2) - Extend to start of next LN?
  13. 00:50:144 (50144|3) - Not to fond of this LN though. Play seems a little awkward around it. Think about repositioning some of the notes.
  14. 00:56:460 (56460|3) - ^
  15. 01:19:355 (79355|2) - Needs to be more than just a single imo
  16. 01:24:092 (84092|2) - ^
Again, most of these are just simple suggestions, feel free to reject them.

Sora's HD
Very nicely done. Me being me, I was only able to get an A, but I'm still learning 7K. ;)
Next to nothing to comment on here, just a couple of suggestions.
Note at 00:32:184 (and 00:33:763) ?
01:24:092 (84092|4,84092|6,84092|5,84881|1,84881|5,84881|3,85671|6,85671|4,85671|0) - I guess this is deliberately ignoring the vocals, but this feels a little... empty.

Leaving modders such a hard job when having a good diff... :P [/list]

Hope this helps and best of luck! :)
I'll come back to look at the MX diff once the M4M is finished... just link to this map again so I don't forget.

Note at 00:32:184 (and 00:33:763) ? i want to emphasize each parts, also to accent flow of the guitar sound there, so i will leave it as is
01:24:092 (84092|4,84092|6,84092|5,84881|1,84881|5,84881|3,85671|6,85671|4,85671|0) - I guess this is deliberately ignoring the vocals, but this feels a little... empty. mm... it feels fine for me, it's too unnecessary to add notes on the vocals there since it doesnt give that much impact

  2. 00:24:486 (24486|3) - Move to col 4 for doubles pattern? (move note afterwards if applied, probably to col 6) applied differently
  3. 00:27:250 (27250|4) - Double for pattern? was following the drums here
  4. 00:28:829 (28829|3) - ^ ^

  6. 00:33:171 (33171|3) - Make LN? (The support guitar is held somewhat here) only following the guitar lead here since I don't want to complicate the diff
  7. 00:34:750 (34750|3) - ^ ^same thing
  8. 00:35:736 (35736|5) - Move to col 0 for pattern symmetry with 00:37:315 (37315|4,37315|2)? applied

  10. 00:46:197 (46197|4,46394|4,46592|5) - 456 instead of 445? If you noticed at the second measure I also did that, so I would keep this.
  11. 00:46:789 (46789|0,46888|1,46986|5,47085|2,47184|3) - How about 04263 here to replicate distinct drum sounds? (Two different drums, two different hands.) applied
  12. 00:49:355 (49355|2) - Extend to start of next LN? Would keep this since for players to know when to release the LN, which is triggered by 00:49:947 (49947|5)
  13. 00:50:144 (50144|3) - Not to fond of this LN though. Play seems a little awkward around it. Think about repositioning some of the notes. applied differently

Drum-Hitnormal
I feel the part after kiai is a bit too over hitsounded.

Made a hitsound difficulty based on your MX and modded it a bit.
http://puu.sh/vDIqu/3426d5367b.rar

Renamed your soft-hitnormal2.wav to soft-hitnormal.wav and added a more soft hitnormal2
Also increased hitsound volume for kiai part.
Added hat sounds

U can testplay with the MX test difficulty and if you like it, then use my MagicCopy to copy hitsound to your other diffs

MX
00:09:881 - 00:16:197 - kinda inconsistent that you only map the piano sounds in the white line but disregard the other piano sounds. imo it feels complete if you map the piano sounds. If you're worrying about SR, it really won't make it harder if you had a few piano sounds
Edit: Plus this is mx lol

00:23:894 - add an LN for the guitar sound
In the kiai, I feel a lot of inconsistencies regarding the mapping of the drums, like this sounds like these 00:46:888 (46888|2) - should at least have two to three notes, while these sounds 00:47:776 (47776|4) - should have a maximum of 2 notes. Another point is that some of the chords in the 1/1 measure have 3 notes(00:45:407 (45407|2,45407|4,45407|3) - ) but other chords only have 2 notes (00:46:986 (46986|6,46986|5) - )despite having the same sound

Sora's HD
00:20:736 (20736|1,20736|3) - Remove a note, the sounds doesn't seem strong enough
00:21:526 (21526|5,21526|0) - ^
00:24:289 (24289|3,24289|6) - ^
00:28:631 (28631|5,28631|3) - ^

I noticed some parts of the map which has the same sound as stated from above(which also has a similar structure), only has 1 note.

Ron's NM
00:31:592 (31592|1,31789|0) - ctrl+j for better flow
00:35:144 (35144|1,35144|2) - delete a note and move the remaining note to 4 to follow consistency from the previous notes and for better transitioning to the next 2-note chords
00:50:736 (50736|1,50835|2,50934|5) - ctrl+h then move to the right, or move 00:50:934 (50934|5) - to 7

Overall, I think the mapset is good but I think it needs a little bit of polishing for it to become better!

00:12:842 (4) whats this mapped to?
00:18:565 (4) this seems weird to hit seeing as its mapped to the blank space/sound
00:19:750 (7) i cant hear what this is mapped to unless its the hold and release of a snare drum? which you ignored this same pattern of audio before so this might need a change
alot of this kind of stuff all the way up on almost every hold up till 00:44:618
00:35:736 (4) this is what a slider should do
00:37:118 (5) this is mapped to nothing again - well i say this but it feels like the holds are mapped onto drum beats which could be done better with singles no?
00:37:710 (4) this could be split into tow sliders rather then have the single on (5) to emphasise the sound here
00:41:855 (4) blank slider again but possible to the percusion sound next one is deffinitly blank at 00:42:664
00:44:618 - (end) i found this entire section mapped well and fine

really general advice just take a look at the sliders before 00:44:618 and this is really good diff i dont play 7k but definitlly something i would enjoy if i did play 7k past 00:44!:618 gl sorry for short mod but outside of the slider issues this seems well done!

feel like your 7K easy is too hard for beginners. I think it would make them fail a few times to pass it.

You might want change this:

No other note when you are holding down a long note:
00:31:986 (31986|6,32381|3,32579|0) - this pattern is quite hard for starters who is learning 7K. I see many people struggle with it.

00:43:039 (43039|3) - I think you should map the 5 sound here instead of 1 LN, feels to under-mapped here as compared to rest of song.
