So, on to the mod

General

  1. Song name is incorrect. After some searching i found this :



    So this means the correct romanised name is '' Necrofantasia ~ Remix ''
    While Original name is ''ネクロファンタジア ~ Remix ''
  2. For metadata : Album is '' Il Mondo dove e finito il Tempo '' or '' The World Where the Time Ended '' so i guess you should add of them on the tags since its the album name.
  3. Add '' c73 '' since this album was released on Comiket 73
  4. Add ''instrumental'' '' Metal '' to tags since those are the genres stated on album i guess

    Note: you should still run this by a QAT check for metadata if you are pushing for rank at some point, not now at least

  6. Maybe HP 7? It's a 6.33* map so it shouldnt be that forgiving
  7. You should try adding some combo colours as well

  1. 00:01:533 (4) - since its a strong white tick, this is where it should be NCed not 00:00:699 (1) -
  2. 00:05:199 (2,1) - This doesnt provide promising flow since the transition between those notes is uncomfortable, id suggest something like this
  3. 00:06:033 (1) - similar to my other point, remove NC and add NC here 00:06:866 (4) -
  4. 00:06:366 (2,3) - 2 Issues here: 1) The transition between the 2 and the 3 is too sudden and isnt accomondated by the music, should be adjusted and 2) 00:06:533 (3) - This sounds more like a triple and less like a slider, Should be changed into a triple in my opinion
  5. 00:07:033 (5,6) - there is beat between these 2 circles so this should be turned into a triple as well
  6. 00:07:533 (1) - this slider is completely out of rhythm and breaks consistency. overlapping these ( 00:07:699 - 00:07:783 - 00:07:866 - 00:07:949 - ) beats. Also has an NC on its own.. yeah this slider needs to be removed
  7. 00:10:199 (1) - rather skeptical about this. Feels off when you break movement at the most intense part of this drum section. A set of kicksliders would work better here
  8. 00:12:199 (1,2) - Really bad flow accompanied by uncomfortable anti jump, isnt there a better place for this circle
  9. 00:12:699 (3,4,5,6,7) - This is overmapped i dont hear anything on blue ticks
  10. 00:14:116 - no beat here. However if you want to keep those kicksliders at least make them flow better. Pretty Linear pathing as they are now

  11. 00:14:533 (6,1) - underwhelming spacing choice, buff this
  12. 00:15:699 (6,7,8,4) - for future reference, kicksliders tend to flow better if they have diverse pathing and movement , putting them in a straight line sometimes doesnt play well. Be on the safe side and give that pattern some variety

  14. 00:26:199 - was this inherited point targeted at the previous slider or the next slider?

  40. woah woah hold up, it appears that some parts are copy pasted in the second kiai, and i thought they were similar, are you sure you dont want to include some more variety?
  41. 05:00:698 (1) - random NC Lul
  42. 05:23:198 (1) - would have been better as a stream as well

(ABR 192kbps, not CBR because the sound quality gets butchered too much)



General
Hitsounding isn't that scary as you might think. Why don't you try to add some hitsounds to your mapset? Everyone has to start from somewhere. It doesn't have to be perfect but I believe that you can add hitsounds to this song by yourself. And if you need help, that's what mods are for. Here's a video that you might find helpful on hitsounding.

About the warnings from the AiMod, I will list and explain all of them, since not everything needs to be "fixed":
  1. Object's end is not snapped!
    This applies to sliders and spinners since they are the only objects that have a beginning and an end.
    Most of the time this happens when you add a timing point that changes the slider velocity multiplier to a section that's already been mapped and includes sliders and/or spinners. In this case, these 8 warnings are 8 sliders' ends.
  1. About the kiai toggling, sometimes kiai toggles for less than 15 seconds can be acceptable. In this case though it depends on you.
    If you choose to have a bigger kiai in this section 01:36:533 - 02:19:199 then just don't toggle the kiai mode on the timing points that this warning is referring to. If you choose not to, you still need to fix the current timing for the kiai modes as it is. I think this is the timing point that the first part of the toggling should stop 01:55:033 - and not this one 01:55:366 - and the timing point where the 2nd toggling should stop as well 02:07:033 - and not this one 02:07:199 - .
    Since I'm talking about the kiai mode here I will add my thoughts on this part as well 02:40:531 - 03:24:531. Maybe you forgot to add some timing points toggling the kiai mode here as well. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the guitar solo in this section worthy of a kiai toggling?
    I will leave the timing points and toggles for this section to you.
  1. About the two timing points exist at the same time warning (04:40:531) just delete one of them, they are duplicates.
  1. You can ignore the 1/3 of the map being kiai time. That's not an issue here.
  1. The audio bitrate and filesize warning will be fixed with the mp3 that I provided you with.

  1. You can ignore these 2 as well, since the length of your beatmap is longer than 5 minutes and it can be approved
  1. And then there's the stack leniency, which is 10 at the moment. Please lower it's value to the default one for the time being

I'm not going to address all the issues related to this map one by one, although I will point out a few sections that stood out the most.


  1. About the hitsounds, I know these ones 01:00:866 (4) - 02:47:198 (1) - were probably assigned to a normal-hitwhistle by mistake. If you are going to add hitsounds on your own though, keep in mind that sliders consist of two hit circles (slider start and slider end/tail) and the slider body. Most of the time beginners add custom hitsounds to the slider body as well without even knowing it. Take a closer look on the 2nd object that I mentioned earlier and you will see what I'm talking about. Here's more info about sliders from the wiki.
  1. Aesthetics-wise now, I know there's a lot of work needed to be done and I strongly suggest searching for more info about it on the wiki, on mods about aesthetics to other beatmaps, even checking out ways that people mapped songs similar to yours in order to get an idea of how to improve your map (try to avoid copy/pasting patterns from other songs, that's not the reason I recommended checking them out).
  1. Rhythm-wise, I think you are not that consistent on what to follow from the song or not, which is what makes this mapset monotonous/repetitive. You can try adding some variety on your mapping/rhythm choices if you listen to the song more carefully. Slider velocity changes, mapping some jumps in sections that reflect the song's intensity and some more tinkering with the distance spacing and the objects' patterns/flow are a few ways to improve your mapset's quality. I will link another video from pishifat explaining some basic things for rhythm that might help you out. In addition to that, there are multiple occasions where objects follow a random rhythm that doesn't even exist on the song so please do a full check on your map more than once. As I previously said I'm not going to address each and every one of them, but here are a few examples:

    1. This kickslider 00:02:199 (3) - is actually a 1/8 one, not 1/6. Make a new kick slider starting from here 00:02:199 - and ending here 00:02:449 - instead, with the beat snap divisor set to 1/8.
      This can be seen here as well 00:53:533 (1) - . Again beat snap divisor shouldn't be on 1/6, but 1/4 instead.
    1. 04:39:864 (1,1,1,1,1,1) - This rhythm does not exist in this section of the song. It could be a continuous 1/4 gap stream though if that's what you were aiming for.

In conclusion, I think there's room for improvement both for your mapset and your experience as a mapper, but it will take time and hard work until you can actually get this beatmap approved. In my opinion, it's a pretty good choice for a song and a bit difficult to actually map, but nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it (and put a lot of effort as well)!
