For this and all the other ones you mention later, the zig zag flow is intentional and is a recurring theme on this map because it flows well, and it fits the sharp sounds of the trumpet. Also the emphasis is great this way and can make it feel like an extra without being too hard on rhythm

Drum is essential to set the rhythm of the song, you should always map it.

I think vocal should only be mapped if it is really the focus of the song, 00:36:735 (2) - this vocal should not be emphasized. Even if you really want to map vocal for this part, why stop here 00:37:366 (3) - 00:37:998 (4) - this is not vocal.

Keep in mind I am just mania player, what I say might not apply to std.

- 01:13:998 (1,2,3,1,2,1,2,3,1,2,1,2,3,4,5) - I have to say you're using too tight space for this kind of pattern. You can easily spread this pattern across the playfield to make it much clearer, more fun, and more comfortable for player (rhythm, flow direction, jumps, etc).
- 01:35:787 (1,2,1) - the jumps spacing dropped too dramatically to me.
Not a bad map, even interesting I'd say. But at times it just feels too uniform and lacks of variety, especially around 00:20:945 - till 01:13:840 -, which makes them quite boring to me.

Well, this map is definetly more tricky to play compared to other hard diff
- 00:10:208 (1,2) - Having them touching each other butt is quite ugly to be honest. I'd make it into something that looks a little bit cleaner like this http://puu.sh/woo0a/74f88b5fe4.jpg (not really clean, but you get the idea)
- 00:10:840 (1,2,3) - Spacing is way to small for pattern with 1/1 snap
- 00:12:103 (3,4,5,6) - This, I can't agree with it. The visual spacing make it looks like that it belongs to / having the same exact spacing from 3 to 6, but in reality they dont. This definetly will messed up player's sense of rhythm & reading, especially at this caliber (Hard diff). If you stack (4) exactly behind the slider and NC it http://puu.sh/woocf/7166b8f80b.jpg, I probably could let it slide altough its far from ideal solution. My best advice is to change this entire section to something clearer and more predictable when people first play it
- 00:14:629 (3,4,5,6) -, etc
- 00:15:892 (1,2,3,4) - spacing is all over the place even though they're the same 1/1 snap
- 00:38:629 (1,2,1,2,3,4,5) - Again spacing is all over the place
- 00:41:156 (1,2,3,4,1) - This is way too hard to read for this level of difficulty as they have no real flow to them
- 01:44:314 (1,2,3) - these 1/4 rhythm has too much spacing between them. I'd say around 1.5x is acceptable
- 02:01:998 (1,2,3) - same
I wont point out too many, but In general this diff consistency between each pattern. 1/1 snap pattern should be similar to other 1/1 pattern, 1/2 snap pattern should be similar to other 1/2 pattern, etc. Also, your spacing should correspond linearly to the snapping they represent. 1/2 snap should be spaced smaller compared to 1/1 snap pattern. If you don't follow those guidelines the map would be tricky to play (in a bad way). tl;dr= Try using distance snap when mapping, thats pretty much the best way to learn mapping accordingly

- 01:01:208 - lone clap sounds weird here, better remove it

Variation wouldn't hurt and can improve the map substantially if you do it correctly my original intention for this was because the vocals are grouped by two beats each, with the first group's pitch going down and the second group's going up, hence why they are made that way. I do think that your proposal for variation makes sense, but I still find that my way fits the music much better. However, I'll also wait for other mods and if they say similar things, I might make a change
- 01:13:998 (1,2,3,1,2,1,2,3,1,2,1,2,3,4,5) - I have to say you're using too tight space for this kind of pattern. You can easily spread this pattern across the playfield to make it much clearer, more fun, and more comfortable for player (rhythm, flow direction, jumps, etc).
- 01:35:787 (1,2,1) - the jumps spacing dropped too dramatically to me.
Not a bad map, even interesting I'd say. But at times it just feels too uniform and lacks of variety, especially around 00:20:945 - till 01:13:840 -, which makes them quite boring to me. ye song is quite consistent with vocals and beats. Just also wanted to point out that you say it lacks variety but also modded a lot of "consistency issues" ;)

  33. 01:50:787 (2,4,1,3,5) - as i have mentioned that the blue ticks here don't have any beats available, it's clearly an overmapped, yet u want to cover it up though with a hitsound. sth like 01:51:735 (4,5,1) - is a good example to follow and it supports well with the trumpet sound from its own pitch sound i think fill makes it play more natural, has better emphasis, and is less boring. Kicksliders here aren't overmapped anyways and hitsounds don't have to completely follow the song or else all of skystar and hollow wings' maps should be dqed

  13. 01:59:787 (3,3) - weird slider shape here. the same as 00:18:735 (3,3) - . u could get it fixed easily by doing this step. set a slider on 256|356, 1st red anchor on 256|311, 2nd red anchor on 241|269, and the last anchor should be on 241|224. then copy this to the following points that i have pointed it out here, adjust the angle by urself, and that should make it neater enough
  14. 02:06:024 (3) - this is clearly an overmapped though, since there's no note available from the song its fine. it's fun, fits the rhythm and intensity, not boring, aesthetic, and sounds good with hitsound.

  3. 01:15:261 (1) - the slider should be end on 01:16:208 - to emphasize the starting vocal well before the initial downbeat from 01:16:524 - (should be added with a note too)

  5. 01:45:577 (1,2) - why not use 2 1/2 sliders instead of the current one? the current one is rly weird though mostly because i wanted 01:46:208 (3) - to be clickable
  6. 02:00:735 (1,2,3,1) - the transitions here are rly weird on the DS use there, which makes no sense at all though tbh. also, 02:01:682 (1) - is a weird rhythm choice. could go with http://puu.sh/wpqag/969d0c4ddc.jpg instead
  7. 02:03:892 (6,7,8) - stacking it might lead them thinking whether it is a 1/4 beat or not. should be separated though and try to use a pattern here as well (or not) idk because i havent used any 1/4 stacks in this map, so it should be ok, will wait and see
