Hello.

I remember this game,it's wonderful.

I have some issues about Tags.
I can see PS2 here,though in 2008 it was released for Wii,too.
And,maybe add Clover Studio too then,as they developed this game?

Also,combo colours in True Taiko differ from the rest.Though it won't be visible during playing,I'd like you to fix them just for order.

SB files seem fine to me,but combobursts are a bit wide.Generally they shouldn't be over 388 pixels.

00:24:169 (1) - Do you need this new combo?
00:34:052 (3) - Add finish?
00:35:464 - I'm not sure about this,rhytm stops at all,there's no break or something,but at least this SB description makes some sense.But still I'd add a note to keep the rhytm on.

Even if it's supposed to be Hard,I'd reduce all stats by 1 at least.

00:20:993 (1,2,3,4,5) - Odd spacing.Rebuild this pattern to pentagon shape or move (5) to the center of the field.

00:41:817 (4,5) - Why do use such jumps? They don't fit this music :|
00:43:052 (4) - Move 1/4 later.
00:49:581 (1) - Stack with (4) properly.
01:22:581 (6) - Again 1/4 later.
01:23:111 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Reduce these jumps,and rebuild this pattern,cause spacing is odd again.Or,well,at least make a neat pentagon shape out of 01:23:111 (1,2,3,4,5) and then place 01:24:875 (6) at the center of the playfield.

01:39:346 (2) - Move 2 grids left (lvl4) to make it symmetrical.

Because I was focusing on my industrial training.
Now I feel like trying this again though, and applied some of IceBeam's mods.
For ziin's ones regarding the SB, I don't have much time to learn the whole SB with Notepad thing, so I'll just stick to what I have. If it looks ugly still, I'll just scrap it entirely, it's not like people are going to appreciate having SBs here anyway.

i just made a new diff off of pereira's diff, so you probably need to change the SB in the beginning a bit lol

i added some blue tick notes, mostly cuz i was trying not to make it too easy, but not sure it was a good idea or not. I wouldn't mind remapping those parts, since they aren't hard to change and I used them infrequently

Well, I tried playing both your map and Winber1's, and even if he based it from your diff, they're essentially different. So I will keep your diff. Why waste a good map anyway? X3

I'm surprised you're still interested with this mapset! I'll send a PM to you when I'm done applying the changes, just don't expect anything great. Any additional suggestions and help from you is definitely appreciated though ;3

EDIT: Finished integrating winber1's Normal diff with SB, and this song is now deemed complete and ready for modding.

Hi just passing by cause I saw you mapped an Okami Song~

  • Easy:
  1. 00:48:169 - This slider reaches out of the play area. Even if it looks beautiful you'll need to change it cause its crossing the HP-bar :(
  2. 01:36:170 (1,2) - You can make these slider look rounder if you move the secon slider pont of (1) to x = 120/ y = 224. Just remove (2) afterwards and copypaste (1) to its former (Ctrl+j/Ctrl+r) position. Don't forget to fix spacing afterwards.
  3. 01:55:934 (3,4) - Same like above. It's better if you move the hole star shaped section a few grids down.
  • Winber's Normal:
  1. 00:14:287 (1) - ^
  • Pereira's Hard:
  1. looks fine :3
  • True Taiko:
  1. looks even better :D

@DarkDunskin, i see no problem with this slide. it doesn't seem to touch the HP bar. maybe your skin's HP is a little bigger than usual? or maybe mine's a little smaller than usual... Seems fine nonetheless.

Are you sure you need an epilepsy warning? The SB didn't seem strobe-ish to me at all.

Oh, and one pet peeve I have is that the spinner lacks a center point to spin around.

Stylistically, I would have liked to see more sliders and fewer circles on this diff, because right now it feels as though it's separate from the other diffs, and somehow numerous 1/2 beat circles don't seem to fit this music. It's technically fine though.

For the sliders you did use, I feel that creating them out of few points (like 3 for and 4 for ) was somewhat inadequate, turning out things that seemed flatter or more obtuse than the smooth circular sliders of the other diffs.

Overall, the map seems fine. The tempo is a nice change of pace, and the mapping reflected it pretty well. Starred.

have drums i have listen many time so i will keep it and this just is "hard" but i will try something change also if everbody found "overmapped" i just remove them so if i agree you opinion anyway

~ Yeah, I had used the AIBat myself (quite helpful, in fact ^w^). About the Codeless thing, I can;t remember where I got the advice to include that line, but I do remember that the guy who gave this advice said it helps to reduce SB load when having another BG layer on top. I had my doubts though, but I'll let it stay for a while. If you really feel this is out of place, then do PM me.

~ I am essentially outsourcing this skin as opposed to creating a new one or including the elements inside the song file, which I essentially wanted to do, to reduce file size. We'll see about this first.

I did not change the new combo. However, I fixed the other two. I just wanted that whole melody in one combo (similar to 01:53:464 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - )

I only checked beginner's sb and taiko's sb. You should make sure the fixes are made everywhere.

26195 - Here you can fade out Okami Night BG (SB) because it's being covered up. Just because you're not "doing" anything with it, doesn't mean it's not being drawn. Fade it back in when you use it again.

[taiko]
First, the taiko backgrounds are stored as jpg. This is a good thing for pictures, but it's very easy to see the compression artifacts on the text (where something like png is suited better). If you still have the original images, I recommend you re-make them all and then storyboard in the text which would be saved ideally as a png file.

The "yuugure" and other icons that just show up, well clearly I'm not seeing the point. For one, they should just be part of the background unless you're doing something with them, or you want to minimize the compression artifacts. The other problem is that you used a blur for a lot of the background, which works well except when the canvas runs out. To make sure that blurs look good, you need to make sure there's at least 1 completely transparent pixel around the image. It's very easy to see the line for the "yoru" and the "shinkou" images.
