Friendly reminder that being in the ranked section of mania isn't something to be proud of.

Regardless, I do recommend not only taking positive feedback that compliments your map since it's mostly negative things that need attention. While some of the feedback can be seen as negative, it's still useful if you're willing to pay attention to the mentioned points. In other words, get off your throne and admit your mistakes instead of ignoring them. I'll also point out what Chaos said about being constructive applies to both sides. Your attitude doesn't seem to follow that mindset, although it seems as if that was triggered from replies, and right now you're making a very bad first impression for the new people you're reaching out to. I don't know who you are but you appear as feeling prestigious in your replies

Positive feedback is what will improve a mapper the most. It may not improve the map, but that's secondary anyways. I started mapping standard in January 2015, and got my first mapset ranked in March, and that was back when I had no musical theory/knowledge, nor was I a part of the community/able to get advice and help easily. How do you improve as a mapper? Figure out what's good and whats not. Figuring out why your map is bad will do nothing to improve your mapping, it will just improve your map.

Figuring out what's wrong doesn't mean learning what's right. However, learning what's right allows you to figure out what's wrong.

You're puncturing your own argument here by saying "How do you improve as a mapper? Figure out what's good and whats not."

Without a reason why a certain thing is good or bad, it's not much use for future mapping. Figuring out why a map is good or bad is, unlike what you say, a way to improve your mapping as a whole. What matters is how you absorb feedback and remember it. I, too, am experienced with mapping and I can tell you what has helped me the most was people pointing out patterns that were not intentionally harder than others and general inconsistency issues. Not the 'good' things you speak of.

Most of the time, positive feedback is "This is fun" or "This is good". You're more likely to get detailed feedback when it's negative since people are more likely to point out bad patterns than good patterns (Although, depending on the individual, it can end up being insulting to a certain degree. One must learn how to separate personal attacks and constructive feedback - this thread is a testament to that).

I won't post a detailled mod, but I hope you can look at these "suggestions" since they are kinda generale guidelines and they are recurring in your map

Symmetry/triangles

Avoid them, they are played badly and makes dumb anchors.

Anchors during long streams

The blue notes are called anchors and plays really badly during really long section, avoid them, It's more important to have fluid streams than repetitive and "good looking" patterns like zigzags.

Overmapping

You are putting heavy chords for only the kick, It's far too much overmapped compared to the previous section (also look at these anchors on the right holy shit).

Monstrata, people have to actually play your map when you rank it, so you should care.
In mania there aren't a lot of ranked maps, so when you rank a hard map that means that everyone have to play it to stay on the leaderboards. There are no alternatives, you can't just pm tillerino or w/e. You play the hardest ranked maps which there are only handful of and that's it.

I don't recommend for new mania mapper to make something like this. Mania is so different than std, Anchor like this 00:28:083 (28083|4,28261|4,28438|4,28615|4,28793|4,28970|4,29148|4,29325|4,29502|4,29680|4) - and 00:35:533 (35533|6,35666|6,35800|6,35933|6,36066|6,36199|6) - is not appropriate.

And also the way you map here is weird. You change from stream mapping to LN mapping which the way you doing it not make sense at all.

Thing you must know that mapping mania is mostly about consistency,. The usage of chord and LN here is weird. Example on chord is you put different chord on the same sound, so like you put three notes on kick in some part, but you put four notes on other part. And your LN is not consistent too here, if you decide to follow a certain long sound with LN, the you must follow the another same long sound with LN as well.

And also many things that broken here, like weird jacks, weird anchors, so much unbalanced patterns. But mostly your problem here is about consistency and the pattern is so uncomfortable.

At a certain point I stop reading. You guys should all chill for a moment since it looks like you direct your posts towards future responses from the project leader which didn't even happen yet. Previous cases may indicate a rather defensive response by project leader, but that doesn't mean to make such a big fuss over a beatmap which is still in the WIP state. In a certain way one may understand people's concern considering past events, but that doesn't give you the right to go with such a brachial violence against a mapper. Instead, try to wait till the project reached the pending state (or give some hints during WIP state) and then give feedback about the beatmap. It's the first approach of the mapper. It is very likely that a remap may be needed. But then say so when modding it.

For anything else, I direct everyone to the Code of Conduct, which can be also seen as warning. See it as such. Please stay Civil. Taiko best modoooo.

I was pretty interested when you said that you were going to map in mania. But I feel like you picked the wrong song to start with. This song is too hard for a starter to map. You should try to make something easier first. Take ZZHBOY as an example. He started mapping mania with some easy songs and a lot of people including me likes his maps. So don't stop mapping in mania but instead start at the bottom first. I'm sure you can be a great mania mapper in the future. Cheers!

I'm pretty sure this is the "mastered" version on the Evolved Chronicles xi album. It sounds barely better than the hand recorded one from a maimai cab which is sad

It was only a short ver and used by maimai PiNK (SEGA)
After then, xi made a full ver of Glorious Crown and it's for sale in his newest album, Evolved Chronicles

However, there is no good quality mp3 for this short version yet, but coming with real high quality full ver is still worth enough to get satisfied
And yes, our current mp3s are just really in poor quality, can't help, it's from youtube convert

like, i get that you don't want to hear this kind of stuff, but it kinda irritates me that staff is telling users to stop and monstrata's still kinda reciprocating it; i'll also remind people that i was one of the people condoning him trying to experiment and get a feel for it, but i don't think this kind of thing is acceptable, just saying.

As it was mentioned multiple times, you guys HAVE to follow the Code of Conduct and despite the warnings from the staff I saw you arent. So I hope you guys understand what you are doing and not do it again.

This is just another (and the last) reminder for you to follow it, right now I will just clean this thread a little bit and do whatever is needed.

This also goes for you Monstrata, I understand you can feel in whatever way about all the "hate" that you are reciving but you have to admit that you are looking for it. First of all, I would ask you to delete your 9K difficulty or at least change it in a way that doesnt tilt all this people in an instant. If you are looking for fights and problems (is it against the mania community in general or just against this particular people) then you are doing it super wrong and its a clear violation of the Code of Conduct previously mentioned.

With that being said to you, I want to also mention this to all the people who is in a deliberated hate train against Monstrata. Even tho I also think the map is bad (and I will call that it is bad intentionally but memes and triangles aside) the WIP/Pending category is there to help the mapper to improve the map not to destroy both map and motivation. So if you are just going to post useless things such as "omg, this is so bad please go back to STD" you are also doing it wrong. Detailed mods if you want to help or just dont post if you just want to cause problems. If the maps hits ranked at this state or hits qualified then I would understand people complaining about it (as it is, part of the ranking process to survive 1 week in the qualified section) but for now it isnt. It can very well just be a test.

And to close this up, as I see this map is actually going for ranked, I suggest you BNs who will check this map to talk with multiple experienced people from the other gamemode (is it STD or mania) because, as you can see, it looks to be quite difficult to know whats going on if you arent experienced in both gamemodes.

Good luck I guess, and feel free to call me if this becomes a mess once again or if you ever feel like I can help giving you some tips to improve yourself as a mania mapper, as you asked.

I suggest you to check maps like Aragami from Blocko and notice how theycare structured.

Also my first mania map was Empress, so nothing is impossible
