The first I watched was Death Note, I think, and I was around 14-15, so ...
I didn't knew animes like that existed before, I was stuck thinking there was only things like Pokémon/Naruto.

Digimon Adventure and Captain Tsubasa, both anime are memorable for me

I used to watch a lot, the one i can remember clearly are Dragonball, Pokèmon, Digimon adventure and Lupin III
I'll say that my favorite childhood anime is InuYasha and Dragon Ball Z (Oh man, I still remember the time when I would sprint my way home just to watch Dragon Ball Z

I watched few anime during my childhood: Meitantei Conan, Dai-Guard and Fruits Basket, all aired on Cartoon Network in my native language. There is also Pokémon but I was not aware it was an anime at this time.
I really liked Dai-Guard, those mechas were badass. I bought the DVDs later on.
