I kinda want to have a try on making a map that I want to be ranked, so I kinda want to know (you guys can watch the videos instead of dl'ing it)

Seriously though, A few things I think makes getting your maps ranked easier (not easily, just easier)
1. Learn to mod, especially Taiko (where there is a big lack of talents). This way you can hook up M4M deals and/or put tip jars in your mods to boost traffic.
2. There is no galactic mandate to change according to every mod. Make your stance against suggestions that feels weird to you.
3. Get close with a BAT or two. Ono is nice for instance.

I used to submit my stuff before they allowed Taiko-only sets, but the mod process became a bit too much for me (that and I didn't really feel like mingling with the community at large for extended periods of time; I usually just stay here). Don't let that stop you from trying though; getting your first map ranked feels really good
