Well I'm not surprised if the other mechanics are similar to PAD,it IS a successful business method after all.Lokamp wrote:
Well I tried the Taiko take on P&D as well.
Pros
-) More than 1 monster can drop on each floor of the dungeons
-) Many structures similar to P&D (which help a -lot- people like me who doesn't know Japanese)
Cons
-) ...pretty much what Crystal said.
Overall, while enjoyable at bits, this is a carbon-copy of P&D-styled gaming ^^"
(also where do I find the code for friend-adding?)
It's just...it didn't quite nail down the same things that made PAD so enjoyable.
In PAD your efforts do count. You have a -sense of control- since you get to directly choose when to attack, when to heal, what have you.
You know that getting the right team isn't everything, you also need to know how to puzzle.
You might feel frustrated, but at least you have an idea about what you -can- do to make things easier.
Here? You don't havd that control.Once you get your chibi-dons moving it's all up to fate to decide things.Even if you know how to build a good team,
luck can still screw you over and you can't do anything about it.
Ps.
One of the mini-boss levels before the actual boss can take away a large chunk of my HP,even though my leader's leader skill reduce damage of that element.
That was one of those early levels.
My second run against violin guy?I got wiped. In one hit.Cooldown time when you enter the floor? One.
Go figure.
