Thought I'd revisit this old map.

not nearly close to being finished, needs modding and things.

FOR NOW, I'll add an AR 10 version, but don't expect it to stay up!

00:00:230 (1,2,3,4) -The red tick after each of these repeat sliders is unmapped but has the same sound as those during the sliders. You can just extend the sliders 1/4 of a beat longer. They're close enough and slider leniency is nice enough that the 1/4 jump is not a problem at all.

Alternatively, if you listen to the guitar, you can hear an accent on the third beat of each measure. It's subtle, but you can consider this pattern instead.


00:06:783 (1,1) - Like the following spinners, these two spinners should end and start on the beats but they don't.

00:14:941 (2,2,1) - You don't have a consistent new combo pattern here. I suggest starting a new combo like below every two beats as the phrases of the song last two beats.

The repeat sliders lead into the next phrase but they are separate from the melody so maybe they can be a separate combo as well.

00:18:099 (1) - It doesn't seem like you have much of a structure for this section from this point on. You established a pattern in the first five measures and then you just have whatever assortment of sliders and hitcircles. I suggest coming up with a pattern to maintain and build upon throughout this section.

Looking at this map further, I can see the same issue as above: most sections don't have any structure to them. I recommend making patterns and playing around with them within sections of the song.
01:28:625 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1,1,1,2,3,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,1,2,3,4,5,1) - 01:45:467 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,4,5) - Thes sections, for example, have great pattern and, apart from some minor issues, fit their parts of the song very well. Again, I think you should put some more thought into the other sections and give some structure to your map like you did here.

I'll list examples of things you can fix rather than detailing every single little issue. You have to learn to avoid these issues on your own in order to improve as a mapper.

00:31:125 (14,2) - 00:42:046 (1,3) - 00:42:968 (4,8,3) - Partial overlaps like this tend to be considered messy and untidy unless you're intentionally doing so in a structured manner. You'll want to clean things like this up unless you specifically do it on purpose, whereby you should be able to justify such partial overlaps. 02:19:151 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - Here, for example, if you line up the circles better, is an example of great partial overlaps.

00:45:730 (3,4,5) - This is an equal spacing of two different time spacings: 1/2 and 1/1. You want to avoid unclear patterns such as this and rather map these objects in a way such that you can visually tell the difference between the two. For example, you could stack 4 and 5 to show that it's different from the 1/2 jump, or you could increase the spacing between 4 and 5.

00:46:914 (1,2,3,4) - Spacing is generally used to emphasize certain notes or parts in music. It does not make any sense to give this quieter measure such large jumps. You want the spacing to correspond to the intensity of the sounds/sections. 01:48:625 (1,2,3,4,5) - Here, for example, spacing is used properly and well.

01:07:572 (2) - Your kiai sections have to cover the most intense parts of the song where the beat is strong and the music is loud. 02:10:730 (9,1) - 02:35:993 (1,3) - I would put the kiai sections between these points. (There might be some better spots but these are some examples of where you would put kiai sections)

01:32:835 (1,2,3) - When dealing with faster, more intense songs that are not electronically created, you can encounter music that may not be executed perfectly due to human error. This triple here is an example of that. If you listen closely, you can hear that the flute slightly rushes this trill, causing your triple to not line up with the music. This can cause confusion during gameplay and unfortunately can't really be fixed. Instead, however, you could just consider using a 1/4 repeat slider instead. Just something to think about. This example may not be the best but there are other parts in the song where you could better bring up this same point.

Your map has potential. You just have to clean up your spacing and patterns, put in proper kiai sections, and practice hitsounding after you've gotten more mapping experience. Some parts, like the ending 02:50:950 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2), are great, as long as you clean up the spacing some more. The build up to this ending, however, could use a little more intensity. Increase the spacing, maybe try a more difficult jump pattern, etc. Overall the map was alright. I enjoyed parts of it. You just have to address overall issues like the ones I listed throughout the map and it'll get even better. :D
