Hard Diff:
00:01:572 (3,4) - I think you could improve beatmap flow (second one leads to next slider) by placing this slider like this:

00:06:822 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3) - This whole pattern is inconsistent. You make a slider 1/2 then make a full beat one

00:15:822 (1,2,3) - A triple should END with a strong sound (usually), not start with one. When you move it 2 ticks to the left it sounds a lot better (try it).
00:22:009 (1,2,3) - 00:22:759 (1,2,3) - These ones do it correctly ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

All i can see in this diff is inconsistency in patterns

Decided to only do the hard diff, since I will give you some extra advice there.

[Hard]
  1. 00:04:384 (3,4) - These 2 should probably not overlap, put the 4 a bit to the right.
  2. First of all, your sliders are really inconsistent. 00:07:009 (2,4,2,3) - They are all different shapes and are at random locations. I'd advice you to watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCB5rLXqWKY (And any of pishi's videos really)
  3. 00:10:759 (5) - Move this slider to 00:11:322 (5) and file the gap with 1/2 notes.
  4. 00:19:197 (3) - So many slider points in this slider, what are you trying to do here?
  5. 00:20:697 (8) - This slider feels like it's offbeat.
  6. 00:21:634 (3,3,3) - The first repeat slider is a bit off
  7. 00:23:134 (3,2) - There is an overlap between 1 and 3 for seemingly no reason, try to keep your maps clean!
  8. 00:33:634 (5) - What is this slider mapped to? Should start on the white tick (00:33:822) right there in my opinion. In general try to always start a slider on a strong note and end it on a softer note! Of course there are exceptions, but especially when you just start out it's a really good idea to do just that.
  9. 00:45:634 (1,2,3,1,2) - Fun pattern!
  10. 01:13:197 - There is quite a strong sound here but you completely ignore it. :(
In general I'd say you should work on the rhythm of your maps. It's quite difficult, but try to be consistent and create a stable rhythm.
Try not to create random gaps in your map while there is clearly a sound there, and maybe even listen to the song at 25% speed to find some interesting rhythms to map to!

Secondly try to not randomly place sliders, no shame in copy-pasting a slider and rotating/mirroring!

Don't get discouraged because of what I'm saying, you'll get there!

General

Put (kanda sorata shiina mashiro aoyama nanami kamiigusa misaki mitaka jin akasaka ryuunosuke hata aki shirato yuusuke) idk the show or characters these are just tags from ranked map-sets of this map
for all diffs they are in soft sample-set, you could get get custom hit-sounds from here, t/15407/start=45 and use them to help emphasis the kiai during the song.
the volume for all diffs is 100%, reduce these all to 70-80% and have the kiais in all diffs be 90-100%, this would help the kiai be more noticeable and emphasis the chorus.

Sometimes on the map there are some circle or sliders which shouldn't be that far from the next notes, because it's not at equal distance comparate to the timing : https://gyazo.com/69a502d7effb544198ffcec3f9721c61 you can see that the 3 notes has the same time difference, but the distance is not the same, I putted colors so you can see easily. Sometimes it works well cuz of the song tho. Maybe you can make equal divide on theses who doesn't work with the song ? :

  • i can't mod this, just looks like someone trying to map a jump difficulty for such a soft anime song and it seems very forced like everything is haphazard and out of place, just pointless in general. so i guess i'll only be pointing out the overarching issues

    there were certain rhythm choices i can't agree with, be it overmapped or undermapped. this happens really often when you choose to map to what you want to hear and not what you actually hear instead, which can be a problem for a rhythm game:


  1. 00:01:946 (5,6,7,8) - i dont hear a quadruplet here, just notes on white tick and red tick
  2. 00:17:134 (10) - why only map to vocal and miss out on all the beats within (since you've never ignored beats before)
  3. 00:21:447 (2,3) - perfect place for a quadruplet instead
  4. 00:30:072 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - i dont believe this part should be so briskly brought over with just a stream, the rhythmic pattern is more intricate than that
  5. 00:33:634 (1,2,3) - why triplet when there isnt anything in the music to justify it at all
  6. 01:06:728 (1) - completely neglecting music and just mapping to vocal with a random spinner right in the middle of kiai - not only super momentum-kill its also really undermapped
  7. 01:12:259 (1) - ^, except that its with a reverse slider??
  8. 01:15:822 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) - i hear absolutely nothing that justifies the triplets

there were some insane intensity issues as well, where for whatever reason you've made the difficulty spikes in the least effective of places and made the whole map unbalanced to play. i'm basically certain that your kiai has a lesser average distance between the notes compared to the rest of the song:


  1. 00:04:384 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - slow part (avg. distance: 3.08) VS 00:06:822 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3) - intense hyped part (avg. distance: 1.41), its very obvious
  2. 00:12:822 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - vs 00:14:134 (1,2,3,4,5,6) -
  3. 00:20:509 (1,2,3,4) - small distance when the high pitched guitar enters alrighto
  4. 00:46:759 (1,2,3) - cross screens and its not even the kiai

dont get me started on aesthetics, this map essentially has no structure

from what i've seen this map is very very amateurish and not well thought out. the mapper has chosen to overmap/undermap certain beats of the song without much reasoning, at least from what i can see. a lot of beats were being neglected for the sake of vocals which typically when not done well can seem really bad. not mapping to rhythm in a rhythm game is already a bad start to begin with, but yet you choose to slap on pretentious jumps without much reason within the map and you expect people to want this to rank? intensity variation is very important in a song, and it has to be effectively reflected within your map. you can't just put jumps and force an Extra diff on the song when it really isnt permissible or done effectively.[gameit]
  • i can't mod this normally either, because this map also has overarching issues that span across everything and pointing everything out will be monotonous. have something general to look at instead


    rhythm issues are rampant. please map to what you hear and not map to what you WANT to hear:

  9. 00:51:634 - any reason you're not mapping to this?

probably the next problematic thing i can see right away is the aesthetics, but its with relation to style and i'm genuinely too lazy to mention how you should fix ugly overlaps, blankets, have more similar sliders for such a boring song etc. most importantly you try to fix the rhythm first, though i can say the way you handled intensity was better than the Extra diff.dont really want to continue modding an overly ambitious amateur-GD loaded mapset, gl

  1. in general i would say gameplay wise it flows alright. most of the flows in your map are indeed acceptable. however, the rhythmic part requires a total revamp and i will be touching on that later in the mod. aesthetics wise i also see a huge room of improvement because there are a lot of wonky sections to your map. theres also the issue of intensity which can get really bad at places. can't say much on hitsounds because i'm actually really horrible at hitsounding, but a general rule of thumb you want to follow is to just hitsound what you hear in the song, i.e. if you hear a drum on this note then add a drum hitsound accordingly

    rhythm:
    1. 00:02:509 - any reason why you're skipping this?
    2. 00:07:197 - any reason you're skipping the drum?
    3. 00:07:384 - any reason why a STRONGER guitar sound is non clickable and is a slidertail instead?
    4. 00:07:947 - any reason you're skipping the drum?

    6. 00:09:447 - any reason you're skipping this quintuplet?

      the list can go on and on, but the core issue is you're mapping to what you want to hear and not what you actually hear. place rhythm at a higher priority than aesthetics (in your sense) or gameplay, as this is a rhythm game its more important that players can pick out what you're actually mapping to instead of just having it play well. its a very prevalent issue when it comes to newbie mappers. would hope for you to do a massive recheck on your map because i believe you've skipped out on a lot of important beats to the song.

    1. 00:07:009 (2,4) - is there any reason for these 2 sliders to be different?
    2. 00:08:697 (2,3) - this doesnt visually flow well

      i would say that aesthetics are very very subjective, but if you were to refer to a typical ranked map you can see that their structure is a lot more regular than this. because right now it just seems like you're slapping on random sliders in random shapes for the sake of occupying space on the timeline, which isnt very pleasing aesthetically. would suggest you have more blankets, more similar sliders, and refer to ranked maps more often for aesthetic ideas. it will help you out a lot more than you think.

      also please use the editor to its fullest potential and not map just the middle.. because this is what i see upon Ctrl+A

    intensity:
    1. 00:54:634 (2,1) - massive jump and its not even the kiai
    2. 00:58:384 (4,5,6,7) - 00:59:509 (1,2,3,4) - 01:03:071 (2,3,4) - and then it IS the kiai your notes start touching


      this section will be much more general because pointing them out individually will be really pointless. as you can tell from just that one mod it is really obvious that your map is littered with messy distancing. it can easily throw players off, especially for hard players, if you dont map them effectively and they dont understand how you've conveyed it. if it helps, please just map Hard diffs with Distance Snapping, because they turn out well enough to be ranked at least, and it doesnt look as garbage.

Few Issues
To have a "Normal" as the lowest diff in the mapset, it must be under 2*
in "GameIt's Insane" the ds is somewhat random at times and he doesn't seem to change the ds when there are spaces in between beats. and for example.
I don't recommend you use 70% volume for the hitsounds as the song is relatively quiet and weaker than most.
The "Hard" diff also has some random ds changes like 01:03:634 (5,1,2) - compared to 01:00:634 (5,1,2) - for example.
I do not understand why the ds suddenly lowers at 01:09:822 (1) - seems a little weird since it is the kiai and such. (Normal diff)
In the "Normal" difficulty, the ds is the same for 00:14:885 (5,6) - and 00:16:759 (3,4) - but 00:16:759 (3,4) - is mapped in a 1/2 way and 00:14:885 (5,6) - is mapped in a 1/1 way which doesn't make much sense. and if I didn't explain myself well.
I think a 3* is needed in the set.
