about frey's diff: he used such kinds of patterns a lot in all his maps...i should say this is his style and it plays certainly fine in all circumstances. so i dont think it's necessary to change all those too-big-or-too-small spacings. You might also refer to his maps such as touhou hisouten, licca, perthed again, etc.? The spacing consistency isnt compulsory in insane anyways xd
