So far I've only known of a few movies based on Anime. Other than Dragonball Evolution, what else is there? I just found out about Death Note 2, I didn't even know there was a movie with real people. I'm watching it now, but it gets me thinking, what other movies are out there?

  2. Death Note
  3. Death Note part 2
  4. L Change The World
  5. 2 Akagi movies
  6. Kaiji

I think Akira was adapted into a live-action movie.

Edit: In production actually, my mistake.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni is another one I remember actually >.<

Blood the last Vampire was, and imo... not too shabby.

Also, the Death Note movies were more enjoyable than the anime to me because I don't give two shits about Mello and Near. (Yes, even L saves the world.)

Also also, is that live action Cowboy Bebop ever gonna get made?

In Japan, plenty.
English language? Not so much.
SPOILER
Speed Racer
The Guyver
Guyver Dark Hero
(CGI) Astro Boy ... fuck if I know anyone who's actually seen it.
Probably a couple other crap ones I can't even be bothered remembering.

Coming Never Soon:
Space Cobra
Akira
Evangelion
Death Note
Voltron

North American Remake

In 2007, the Malaysian paper The Star stated that more than ten film companies in the United States had expressed interest in the Death Note franchise.[6] The American production company Vertigo Entertainment was originally set to develop the remake, with Charley and Vlas Parlapanides as screenwriters and Roy Lee, Doug Davison, Dan Lin, and Brian Witten as producers.[19] On April 30, 2009, Variety reported that Warner Bros., the distributors for the original Japanese live-action films, had acquired the American rights for the remake, with the original screenwriters and producers still attached.[20] On January 13, 2011, it was announced that Shane Black has been hired to direct the film, with the script being written by Anthony Bagarozzi and Charles Mondry. Is that Initial D coming soon or is that an old poster? I'm not too up to date, sorry if I sound clueless.

Thanks for the list. And thanks for using IMDB, I would've never thought about that. And because I used it, look what I found through IMDB, this is such a funny article to read (though slightly racist).
