Hello, I never had this problem before because I reach 2000FPS with unlimited usually, but whenever I start osu, it drops to 3FPS at startup
This is with DirectX,

I got no effects on except Video and Animated Sliders..

What I'm asking myself right now, why do I get normal FPS with openGL?

My specs, AMD Phenom II X4 3ghz
4GhZ ram @ 1066mhz
nvidia gtx 285

FYI - Osu! Now runs at 300 fps max on unlimited frames settings

Also here's what you can do :-

1 : Update/rollback your drivers
2 : reinstall osu
3 : Make sure your pc is not infected with viruses/malwares.

What do you mean by "startup"? Do you mean the first few seconds? Does it start high, the drop that low? If not the first few seconds, what does it take to make it go back up?

Are you sure you're not running a shitton of crap in the background? If you're on XP, restarting helps.

Tried running fullscreen? Restarting your PC?

restarting helps "randomly"(means, sometimes i get it, sometimes it's gone like a miracle),

fullscreen doesn't work also

Could be a program running in the background causing this?
Try creating a new account, that fixes most bugs.
