[General]
- Set is currently unrankable as the Normal is shown as exactly 2* in game when it must be less than 2.
- I would highly suggest increasing the OD of Normal to 7 since there are a lot of short notes compared to LNs
- As for OD of Hard, I would also increase it to 7 due to the more even ratio of notes to LNs.
- OD 7.5 for Insane
- Same as above for the Lunatic diff.
- I would decrease HP of Insane to 8.2 since 8.4 feels a little cruel right now comparing diff density.
- HP of 7.8 or so is better for the Hard imo since it's still forgiving while also not allowing mash pashing.
- HP 7.3 or lower for the Normal since 7.6 is too unforgiving for the difficulty range it's aimed at
- Bit of unnecessary silence at the end of soft-hitnormal, and it's too quiet to be considered audible imo, so here's the cut with a slight volume increase https://www.dropbox.com/s/9mbl47cyxs1ay ... l.wav?dl=0 (tell me if you need the puush link, puush is being weird to me tho)
- Lastly, I'm going to suggest you use a kick hitsound since it's present in the music quite a bit https://www.dropbox.com/s/5ordx5w4y5lat ... k.wav?dl=0
[Lunatic]
00:00:745 (745|0) - Add cym here since this is the very start of the song and there's a crash in the music due to it being the start of a section.
00:02:432 (2432|3) - Add sna here since it's a bit quiet but still an existent hit.
00:01:682 (1682|1,2057|1,2807|3,3182|2) - And etc. Here, you'll add that kick that I sent. It's kind of quiet in the music, but if you listen with the music turned down a bit, you'll hear that this same kind of kick - kick - snare rhythm repeats itself many times in the music.
More examples of this rhythm:
- 00:03:744 (3744|4,4682|3,5057|1,7682|2,8057|2,8807|3,9182|2) -
- 00:09:744 (9744|2,10682|3,11057|4) -
- 00:13:682 (13682|1,14244|3) -
- 00:14:807 (14807|3,15182|3,15744|1) -
- 00:16:682 (16682|1,17244|0,17807|0,18182|0) - and so on
00:06:744 (6744|4) - Add cym for the crash here (start of a new musical phrase)
00:11:994 (11994|4,12369|4) - Recommend switching to drum sample set through the drop down menu above the short note / slider selection, and use claps here to represent the toms.
00:12:182 (12182|5,12557|5) - Same thing as above, but with finishes instead
00:18:744 (18744|3) - add cym
00:23:432 (23432|6) - Switch to drum sampleset and use a clap here for the tom
00:24:369 (24369|3) - same thing as above, but use a finish instead
00:24:369 (24369|2) - assuming you accept the above, remove the sna.wav here since there's no snare sound present
00:36:744 (36744|1) - Consider adding cym here to represent the change in pace of the music
00:42:744 (42744|0) - add cym
00:44:807 (44807|5) - add kick
00:45:182 (45182|6,45744|6,47432|5) - ^
00:45:744 (45744|5) - add cym. The reason why I point this out so much is because you sometimes add the cymbal, but you sometimes don't, and there's no rhyme or reason that I can tell for your placement of it, so I'm just trying to make it consistent all the way through
00:56:994 (56994|2) - add drum-hitclap for the tom
00:57:557 (57557|1) - add drum-hitfinish for the lower tom
00:58:119 (58119|4) - missing snare
00:59:619 (59619|0) - ^
01:00:744 (60744|3) - add cym, 01:00:744 (60744|6) - add kick
01:01:119 (61119|3,61494|3,61869|3) - add snare
01:01:307 (61307|2,61682|2,62057|2) - add kicks
01:02:057 (62057|3) - add cym
01:03:744 - Ok, so the structure of the kicks changes here a bit, and instead of being 1/1 hooks on the upbeats (meaning the kick swings from red tick to red tick), it now becomes an alternating 5/2 and 3/2 structure structure, meaning the kicks come in on the 1st downbeat, and the upbeat right before the 4th downbeat, like so
https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7697219Examples:
- 01:03:744 (63744|4,64682|4) - 5/2 rhythm
- 01:05:244 (65244|3,65807|2,66182|2) - 3/2 rhythm
- 01:06:744 (66744|2,67682|2) -
- 01:08:244 (68244|2,68807|4,69182|4) -
and so on
01:45:744 (105744|1) - add cym, 01:45:744 (105744|6) - add kick
01:47:244 (107244|5,107432|4,107994|1,108182|5) - might consider adding whistles here for the piano notes
01:48:744 (108744|3) - add cym and kick
01:49:119 (109119|2,109494|1,109869|2,110244|0,110619|2,110994|4) - This is kind of like a transition into the next section of the music, so add kicks here
01:54:744 (114744|5,120744|5) - add cym
02:02:619 (122619|5) - ^
02:11:994 (131994|4) - add drum-hitclap for the tom
02:13:119 (133119|2) - add snare
02:15:369 (135369|3) - I believe this should be a sna instead of a dr since there's no hihat kind of sound in the music. It's more just a clean snare hit
02:15:744 (135744|3) - add cym
02:18:744 - Same stuff I mentioned about the kick structure in the kiai
02:39:744 (159744|3) - add cym
02:54:369 (174369|3,174463|6,174557|3,174650|0) - remove the snares here, and instead replace them with a drum-hitclap because this is a tom roll, not a snare roll. Alternatively, if you're not adding the tom samples, you can just leave it empty which I think would be better than using the snares
03:03:744 (183744|5) - add cym
03:06:744 (186744|3) - add cym, start of a new musical phrase
03:09:744 (189744|4) - add cym ^
03:12:744 (192744|6) - ^
03:14:806 (194806|2,194900|1,194994|0,195088|1,195181|2,195275|0,195369|3,195463|2,195556|1,195650|0) - Add dr here for the tomroll. Additionally, add the 1/1 drum-hitclaps if you're going to hitsound the toms too
03:36:181 (216181|3,216181|5,216556|3,216556|5) - Double hitsounds. Remove one of the whistles from each of those chords.
03:39:744 (219744|5,220306|1) - I would consider adding whistles here for the open and closed hats here.
03:53:806 (233806|1) - add sna for the snare/tom here
04:18:345 (258345|4,258369|3) - remove snare and dr from here since this is only a guitar strum
04:18:838 (258838|4) - Remove whistle and add cym instead.
Chartwise, just a couple things I noticed while checking the hitsounds
00:03:698 (3698|1) - Pretty sure this belongs on the 1/12 above at 00:03:713 - since the sound kind of has a bit of swing to it
00:06:557 - Starting here, I believe this is 1/6 because 4 notes are present in the roll, like this
https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7697081 . I would highly recommend rechecking the snaps of those guitars. Since it's very fast though, I think it's ok to simplify them to one uniform snap, such as 1/8 or 1/6 though. 1/6 is accurate for quite a few of them, but not all.
00:12:557 - 100% sure this should be 1/6 though. Maybe try something like this
https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/769713400:17:901 - I can hear a guitar strum here. Might consider using an LN or just adding another note to represent it since the sound goes snugly between the hihat at 00:17:994 - and the kick at 00:17:807 -
00:42:744 (42744|0,42744|1,43119|0,43494|0) - I'd suggest moving the LN to 1 and the short notes to 2 since it's easier to hit short notes when you don't have to anchor down your stronger middle finger on the keyboard with a hold (muscle dependency and stuff!)
02:23:150 (143150|1) - I would consider removing this note to help emphasize the 1/2 long open hat at 02:23:057 (143057|2) -
02:33:182 (153182|4) - Similarly, I think it'd better emphasize the hat here if you made the short notes all 1/2 LNs for it.
03:09:181 (189181|4) - See above. Something like this could work
https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/769729804:18:345 (258345|4) - Unlike the other notes in this ending measure, this should be at 04:18:369 - with the other notes since there's only a guitar strum here. Additionally, because the sound isn't nearly as emphasized as the ones around it, I would recommend removing a note at 04:18:369 (258369|5) - and making this a double only.
