How does one know if he/she is doing well? (Yay 1000pp)

Okay, it's been about 7 months since I started playing and now, I find this really enjoyable.
I haven't had any major problems (Aside from choosing from mouse or keyboard).
Haven't really cared much if I was doing comparatively well.
TBH, still doesn't bother me. But out of curiosity, How does one know if he/she is doing well?

There will always be people better than you and people worse than you. The question always is what do YOU want. Granted some goals are unrealistic but set your own goals and don't care how other players are doing.

True, just play at your level and don't go too high or low and you will improve (Your level= getting a good combo or fc on a map)

Comparing yourself to other players is a great setup for ego issues, which are never good. Just enjoy the game and try to challenge yourself.

I kind of half expected these kinds of answers.
I'm guessing if I make a "How do i get better" thread the only replies would be to "Play more" too.
Huh, guess I do have to "Play more" before complaining the least.
Until my next thread here, I'll be playing my ass of every weekend.

There are some "how to get better"-threads stickied.
If you want to get usable help from Gameplay & Rankings you absolutely have to be specific about your actual problems. Never ask for general advice because "play more" is the only possible answer to that.

playing standard with mouse (4/6/2016 - 5/20/2016)
playing ctb (5/20/2016 - present)
playing standard agian with mouse and keyboard (7/18/2016 - present)
top #50k in ctb (4/23/2016)
top #10k in ctb (6/5/2016)
top 5k in ctb (8/9/2016)
thats how i got better
also im now SS/S farming in std/ctb
