I know this thread is meant for non-osu! topics, but I am very nooby when it comes to forums. :(

Anyway, I need help trying to find a mod for a beatmap I uploaded to possibly get ranked. Everyday I check it and more more and more maps are having a higher priority than itself.

I don't really understand what Kuduso is but I know it's something to do with modding help (I think), and I know I can use it to increase my maps priority. However, I am having trouble getting a mod for my beatmap because I have no idea where #modhelp or #modreqs is, and what a mod is/does. :(

Any help on my current situation would be really helpful! :)

Here is the beatmap I am trying to get ranked (with help from mods!) obviously.. :D)

Hello, there!

You're on the right track, but the priority system is a remnant of an old system that allowed the Beatmap Approval Team then to easily pay attention to popular or notable maps to get ranked. These days the quantity of maps has increased so much that it's not really used anymore aside from the requirement of having at least +12 priority before a BN can bubble. To get your map paid attention to and to receive feedback, you'd need to spread it yourself via word of mouth or posting it on modding queues.

Kudosu is a currency that is obtained when you mod other people's maps and they give you thanks for modding it. Also, when you award kudosu to a mod, your map also gains star priority. You can use kudosu on anyone's map to increase their star priority as well.

#modhelp and #modreqs are IRC channels on osu!. When you open up the chat with F8/F9, you can click on the (+) tab and enter these channels to chat with. There are also other communities outside of osu! like on Discord and Reddit where you can ask for help with your map.

If you have any mapping/modding questions in the future, you can leave a post in General Questions in the Beatmap subforum, or ask in #modhelp or in osu!mapping Discord servers.
