But that's BORING and can wind up being an incredibly time-consuming process. Fortunately, users have made tools to automate most of this process for you--- check out these tools by XinCrin and pandorawindy; they both offer great support in generating lyric images and generating the SB necessary to display them.
If you prefer having some more customization and control over the lyrics' effects, Starrodkirby86 left a great response here about a tool called Storybrew that aids storyboard generation in the C# programming language.
