There are like two thousand posts about single tapping vs alternating.
Caput Mortuum
alternate tappers can always go faster than single tappers.

It does not matter. Pick a style and play more.

Alternating is fine, I recommend sticking with it if you're already used to it. I've rarely ever single tapped and don't feel like I'm missing out by being a full alternater.
Did
If u have been alt-tapping to get where u are now and it feels more comfortable for you then just keep doing that.
There are surely positives and negatives but learning single-tapping will probably take a lot of effort now that u are used to alt-tapping.

Advantages of Single tappping: -Most people find it easy to do
-Leads to more accurate taps
-You will react faster in tapping

Disadvantages of Single tapping: -Cannot overcome fast-paced maps
-Your fingers will be tired easily
-Not good at streams

Advantages of Alt tapping: -Good for streams
-Even distribution of your energy in your fingers, so you are not tired easily
-Fast-paced map will be a breeze

Disadvantages of Alt tapping: -The chances of mistapping a note is higher
-Most people find it weird
-Less accurate than Single tapping

Honestly, it is your own preferences, so keep up your playstyle and have fun playing!

"Most people find it weird" isn't an disadvantage lol.

Hahaha, in my opinion, it looks very weird and very complicated to do. I cannot click some notes that is a little bit fast with alt tapping.
Caput Mortuum
taiko also looks very complicated for me
that's because you don't train those skills

Yea, I agree with you
rekhichem
