I always used to have a slight problem with rhythm since I began mapping, and I feel like this mod actually really helped me as a mapper, thanks!Silverboxer wrote:
m4m00:54:398 (1,2) - there are strong drum sounds on both of these slider ends. maybe it should be 4 circles instead of 2 sliders? (yes I know what part of the song you are mapping to. still feels weird to not include the drum sounds with the pattern though) the sound im mapping to which you could ssee, was the electronic sound, the main part, the whole map wasnt really mapped to the drums except for some parts, and I feel like its ok to include thesse ssliders because I repeated the same concept throughout the whole map and its mapped to a strong sound.
01:07:436 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - this doesn't seem like the right rhythm to me. should be 1/2 sliders where 01:07:667 (2) and 01:08:129 (6) - are. also 01:07:436 (1) should be two circles, not a slider to match the mapping to the drums Agreed with this, applied!
01:14:706 (1,4) - again, strong drum on these slider ends. you must be mapping to the drums here, right? the other sound is way too low, I could barely hear it. No Im mapping to the electronic sound here still, and it starts on the red tick here, and its ok because the rhythm 'feels' normal because I used another slider here 01:15:167 (4) -
01:15:398 (5,6,7,1) - I also think this is awkward to play? circle 7 can be moved up and it would play better I think. it goes from a huge jump to 2 small ones and might be weird to hitYou are correctomundo, its smaller because the sound isn't as intense as the rest of the jumps. Applied!
01:22:090 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - it seems like you mapped to the guitar(?) here but that rhythm doesn't exist for most of this part? rhythm should be slider where 01:22:436 (3) is, and a circle where this slider end is 01:22:552 (4) I disagree with this one, if you go into 25% speed you can tell its mapped according to the rhythm
01:38:821 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) - I don't agree with this rhythm either. I think it should be two circles then a slider, not a slider and then two circles? You *are* technically correct, but I feel like this plays better and the more *intense* sound is when the jumps are, so it kinda matches up.
02:30:297 (2,3) - are these meant to be only 1/4 tick apart? it's a huge unexpected jump here Agreed it is pretty unexpected, applied by removing 3
02:50:603 (4) - misleading spacing with the last notes. also you have this habit of putting sliders on two strong notes in a row instead of two circles to emphasize both strong beats by making them both clickable. it creates problems like this: The spacing isnt really an issue, it correlates well with the rest of the section beforehand
02:51:065 (2) - this 1/4 slider is mapped to 2 strong beats, but this identical looking one is mapped to only 1 strong beat: 02:51:411 (2). it's inconsistent, I think the first 1/4 slider should be 2 circles again, technically right, but I feel like a triple here would be pretty unexpected and I put the pattern that is there for niceness and it plays well and it feels good with the music, because the electronic sound (which I've been mapping to the whole time) is the same sound
02:51:757 (1) - same problem here, where a really prominent sound is mapped to a slider end Again, technically right, but its a slow part of the section so I feel like its justified
03:03:526 (4) - better effect if this is on top of 03:03:296 (3) instead maybe Agreed, fixed!
03:05:834 (2,2) - same problem here as before Same as before, technically right but ya
there are some more of the same problems throughout the rest of this map. rhythm doesn't seem consistent in lots of places, and yes I know sometimes you are mapping to instruments that are not the drums. Even besides that, sometimes you skip notes that should be mapped, or put circles where I do not hear any strong notes for any instruments. Sometimes you skip the loud drum sounds in favor of a much quieter sound, and while this is rankable and whatever, my opinion is that the loudest sounds in the song should not be ignored.
really good map otherwise, and I wouldn't mind coming back to do another mod some time.
