catchy

[oni]
00:03:196 (15) - don for contrast with 16
00:14:105 (63,65) - ctrl+g? the melody kinda does down-up-up
00:26:832 (126,127) - both dons (for melody again)
00:35:923 (1,3) - ^
00:48:650 (64,65,66,67) - d dkd for more accurate melody following?

[kazaze]
can you like, use clap? XD
this diff has literally no 2/1 break whatsoever

in my opinion that'd be fine, i'm just recommending you to fix this to avoid conflict during qualified (there are still many spread and technical purists out there ;) )

[futsuu]
00:15:241 - 00:22:514 - this section is probably too much without a 2/1 break at least, try to insert some (in 00:17:514 - 00:20:241 - for example, whatever you see that feels better with the song)
00:27:286 - you probably want a kat here for better spread (muzukashii is way denser in this section)
00:37:059 - similar problem as 15:241

[kantan]
similarly to futsuu, you probably want 1 or 2 4/1 breaks during kiai

that would be all from me, you can poke me back

edit: any metadata references so i don't have to kiss kwan's ass ask kwan for further assistance

00:26:832 (126,127) - both dons (for melody again) Both works imo but i prefer the way made it.
00:35:923 (1,3) - ^ Done.
00:48:650 (64,65,66,67) - d dkd for more accurate melody following? well that would make too much don in this part and doesn't reflect they way i see this part.

Thank you for the mod ! :)

Okay, diffs are easy enough for beginners and spread has been mostly respected.

Muzukashii would not work with 2/1 breaks as it would break the structure of the map.
Kantan and Futsuu while not having 4/1 breaks during kiai do give a lot of room for newer players to rest due to the calm nature of the song.

Since metadata was changed, I cannot qualify. Fixing the bubble, call Surono.

Do you have any reason of using 1.6 as base slider velocity? I think SV 1.4 is completely fine for this scenario. In addition, Kazaze's Muzukashii is too consecutively mapped without any 2/1 or longer rests throughout the difficulty, which is rather imbalanced as Futsuu has plenty of them.

Please let me know your opinion towards these so we may proceed as indicated.

This has previously been adressed,
I didn't know where to make room for such a break in my map and decided to keep the structure of it intact if it wasn't a problem and was not something to absolutely fix in order to be rankable.
The lack of 2/1 breaks wasn't judged a problem - see Raiden's Re-bubble post ; and so it was agreed to be left that way.

I don't think there is need for a change but if it appears to be a major issue I'll of course agree on modifying it to add 2/1 breaks.
zigizigiefe
I'm just here to share my opinions and explain Nardo's concerns by my own way.

1-Why 1.6 SV?
My opinions: Well, 1.4 Velocity cannot reflect the density of the song. When song goes with distinctive density, 1.6 expresses it perfectly. There's nothing about reading problem or overmapping. BPM is low, so 1.6 doesn't make reading harder.

2-Why is Kazaze's diff consecutively mapped?
My opinions: The song is kinda short. He chose the way that he can use enough 1/1 spacing, easier patterns according to the density. Muzukashii diffs don't have to contain 2/1 spacing everytime according as Muzus which barely have 2/1 spacing.

That's it. It still depends on -Tenshi- and Kazaze's opinions.

Well. I'm totally on the same page here, I couldn't have possibly put it better, thank you for that!

I choosed 1.6 as based slider velocity simply because the bpm is low and i think a higher scroll speed is easier to ready on slow maps. Basically, just a personal preference.

For kazaze's Muzukashii, it's balanced since the song is slow enough to have time to rest without any 2/1 rests, adding some would feel kinda forced in my opinion.

About 2/1 issues on muzu, I think it is possible to add 2/1 break on 00:22:514 - ~00:26:150 - (consider this is the most calm part),there is example. (00:44:332 - ~00:47:968 - as well)

Additionally,00:00:696 - ~00:04:332 - could be improved by following snare which is pretty important role on this song, there is example (Muzu)

And about 1.6 base SV, I think change base sv is not encouraged because it not only impacts scroll speed and note's distance but also display time of spinner (and slider). Although there aren't any spinner or slider , it would be better to set higher scroll speed by changing SV multiplier which only effects scroll speed and note's distance.

That's what I think about .

While this would work totally fine, I would argue that it seems like a cop-out when compared to the rest of the map, and I don't like it at all. It's forced onto a part that is otherwise totally fine according to density.

That works too I guess, as would work a lot of other structures depending on who maps it. I prefer having a structure mainly following the melody here as the rest of the map does.
Nothing necessary here.

Disqualified as the concerns raised by qoot are valid. Additional modding as follows.

  • [General]
  1. Here is the resized BG with resolution of 1366x768.
  2. Base slider velocity should be 1.4 for all difficulties regardless of song bpm in this case. This is to ensure optimal spacing between 1/4 patterns. In addition, the pace of music is not fast to support the use of 1.6 as well.
  3. You may end the kiais at 00:22:514 and 00:44:332 - respectively as tambourine stills exist at 00:22:286 and 00:44:105 -
  • [Kazaze's Muzukashii]
  1. 00:22:741 (80,81) - these notes could be removed for an essential 2/1 break in between the dense kiais considering this is the most calm session. This allows players to rest a bit and prepare for upcoming patterns, which is not forced at all.
  2. 00:24:559 (87) - similar to ^ , you may delete this note and change 00:24:786 (88) - to k for a better spread with Oni and cohering with the density gradient demonstrated in all other difficulties.
  3. 00:26:377 (93) - this note could be deleted as well to follow the density arrangement as above.
  4. 00:44:559 (159,160) - same as 00:22:741 (80,81) -
  5. 00:46:377 (166) / 00:46:604 (167) - same suggestion as 00:24:559 (87) / 00:24:786 (88) -
  6. 00:48:195 (172) - same as 00:26:377 (93) -
  • [Oni]
  1. 00:24:105 (115) and 00:27:741 (131) - as the session is rather calm, consider removing this note to make the 1/2 chain noticeably shorter than those in kiais ?
  2. 00:45:923 (53) and 00:49:559 (69) - same as ^
You may call me back after that.

I don't have pc now, but I disagree entirely with Nardo and qoot's posts. If you decide to not change anything, call me back for a rebubble tomorrow.

Applied all general suggestions, apparently the "1.40 or 1.60" is gone from the ranking creteria so I changed it even if i don't understand why this is an issue in the first place.

No changes on oni, i prefer to keep this part like it is.

The rest is up to kazaze.
