00:06:610 (1,2) - This kinda contradicts what you went for in the last similar pattern where (1) was on its own and then 00:06:922 (2,3,4) - the three following sliders were mapped to express a similar motion. Even though its okay to go for a different motion, but the spacing between of (1) -> (2) could be more reminiscent of 00:01:610 (1,2) -
00:10:985 (4,5,6,7) - I feel like this should be 2 1/2 sliders instead to retain consistency with 00:13:485 (5,6) - and offer some resting point so this jumps sequence is a bit tamer
00:23:172 (2) - Seems too cluttered to have a circle on a sliderend of a slider that doesnt have as much of a sliderbody
00:28:172 (2,3) - First time that you went for the spacing increase on the snares, and it really showed here when thinking about the previous sets of 2 circles that werent really differentiated about whether they were landing on snares or or not. This whole concept should be adjusted imo
00:54:110 (1) - Sliderend is considerably stronger than sliderhead, adjust this to improve the whole impact of the section

Either both or one of them I'm not going to fix this because since 01:04:110 (1,2) - are pretty similar i want to emphasize them with 2 similar 1/2 sliders they fits with the rhythm and they are easy to play. Circles means that players should be click on all same vocals who can be more complicated imo because 4 circles to click without break after that is just uhhh for fingers lul so no thanks, i'm not packed by this idea :v

e: gonna add some thoughts

really not a fan of this diff, the spacing usage isn't really well managed at all: everything looks the same, no matter the intensity of the part, and there's no way to contrast the varying intensity of the song with how you currently mapped it. everything also feels just so forced, spacing feels way too high in places where it shouldn't be as high. (notably at 00:40:360 -) besides, if movement and angles used were varied enough it wouldn't be such a huge issue, but everything is just the same sharp angles and comfortable flow which ends up really boring in gameplay. i would really like to see more effort put in actually expressing the song through spacing and movement in general rather than keeping it consistent for the entirety of the map

00:06:922 (1,2,3,4) - not really sure as to why these aren't following the linear back and forths like the entirety of the intro, i don't see a reason to switch here
00:10:360 (2) - a NC here would introduce the new section of the song much better
00:19:110 (1,2,3,4) - disagree with the spacing being so large here, the guitar is getting quieter and its pitch lowers, so i don't see why the spacing should go up here
01:01:453 (4,4,5,6) - might wanna stack manually here, i assume this is unintentional since you usually do it
01:06:297 (5,6) - would've been nice to use similar movement as 01:05:985 (3,4) - to represent the very similar vocals
01:19:110 (1,2,3,4,5) - this feels severely overdone considering the intensity of the song goes down greatly here, all the instruments are much quieter, even vocals. so if anything, this should have lower spacing than most of the kiai

really not a fan of this diff, the spacing usage isn't really well managed at all: everything looks the same, no matter the intensity of the part, and there's no way to contrast the varying intensity of the song with how you currently mapped it. everything also feels just so forced, spacing feels way too high in places where it shouldn't be as high. (notably at 00:40:360 -) besides, if movement and angles used were varied enough it wouldn't be such a huge issue, but everything is just the same sharp angles and comfortable flow which ends up really boring in gameplay. i would really like to see more effort put in actually expressing the song through spacing and movement in general rather than keeping it consistent for the entirety of the map
Hmm first of all 00:40:360 - has a finish on it so there is no problem with spacing it more. I use low spacing for calm parts and high spacing with lots of circles in the kiai.. I don't see whats wrong with that. Yes, you are right, only sharp angles. But that's what I enjoy doing and playing. With Anime style songs I associate comfortable flow and angles, so why not use it here aswell. I am not the type of mapper to use uncommon flow or patterns since I am not experienced in that field so I rather keep doing what I am comfortable in.

01:19:110 (1,2,3,4,5) - this feels severely overdone considering the intensity of the song goes down greatly here, all the instruments are much quieter, even vocals. so if anything, this should have lower spacing than most of the kiai I interpret this differently, since the music has a bass drum on every object so imo that increases the intensity, also it's in the end of the kiai so having a intense jump at the end is common

@nokashi all those triples you mentioned aren't overmapped, they're all present in the music. those in the kiai are kick triples so they feel a bit more faint but they're there, and fit decently. those outside of the kiai are guitar triples

i meant the overall section, not that one slider in particular. the problem is that the spacing difference between the chorus and the rest of the map is really faint, the changes in spacing are barely visible

especially when the intro is just as spaced if not more spaced than the verse, same for the density of the part itself: 00:10:360 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4) - (and the rest of that section) has much longer chains of 1/2 going on than in the kiai, which is barely denser if it wasn't for the occasional triples. the spacing doesn't change much either. the calmest part of the map at 40 seconds still has large jumps such as 00:42:078 (3,4,5,6,7) - 00:44:735 (4,5,6,7) - and dense chains of circles like 00:54:110 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - which are even longer than what you'd find in the kiai in terms of 1/2

even the part after the kiai, which should have much lower intensity considering it's much quieter also has fairly large patterns that don't help with emphasizing the kiai as the most intense part of the map, patterns like 01:27:860 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1) - 01:38:797 (4,5,1,2,3,4) - are just as spaced as what you'd find in the kiai despite all of the instruments sounding much calmer.

overall spacing and density in the kiai is okay, but everything around it feels equal if not similar, and the slightly higher spacing you used in the kiai isn't enough to represent that, so nerfing the non-kiai parts would be the best solution to that problem imo, by replacing some of those circle chains with sliders, or nerfing spacing in those sections, especially the calm part before the kiai

01:19:110 (1,2,3,4,5) - this feels severely overdone considering the intensity of the song goes down greatly here, all the instruments are much quieter, even vocals. so if anything, this should have lower spacing than most of the kiai I interpret this differently, since the music has a bass drum on every object so imo that increases the intensity, also it's in the end of the kiai so having a intense jump at the end is common

it's not about doing what's common, it's about respecting the song... the song's overall intensity clearly goes down here, even if it has those bass drums, so it makes very little sense to have higher spacing than the rest of the kiai where the main instruments are much more prominent, the snares/rides actually stop playing here, the guitar is playing shorter, lower pitched notes, and even the singer's voice gets quieter because of that, even if the pitch is slightly higher here, which all clearly hint that the song becomes softer here, and it should be shown through lower spacing, or lower intensity here

Hmm first of all 00:40:360 - has a finish on it so there is no problem with spacing it more. I use low spacing for calm parts and high spacing with lots of circles in the kiai.. I don't see whats wrong with that. Yes, you are right, only sharp angles. But that's what I enjoy doing and playing. With Anime style songs I associate comfortable flow and angles, so why not use it here aswell. I am not the type of mapper to use uncommon flow or patterns since I am not experienced in that field so I rather keep doing what I am comfortable in.

i meant the overall section, not that one slider in particular. the problem is that the spacing difference between the chorus and the rest of the map is really faint, the changes in spacing are barely visible

especially when the intro is just as spaced if not more spaced than the verse, same for the density of the part itself: 00:10:360 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4) - (and the rest of that section) has much longer chains of 1/2 going on than in the kiai, which is barely denser if it wasn't for the occasional triples.

overall spacing and density in the kiai is okay, but everything around it feels equal if not similar, and the slightly higher spacing you used in the kiai isn't enough to represent that, so nerfing the non-kiai parts would be the best solution to that problem imo, by replacing some of those circle chains with sliders, or nerfing spacing in those sections, especially the calm part before the kiai

01:19:110 (1,2,3,4,5) - this feels severely overdone considering the intensity of the song goes down greatly here, all the instruments are much quieter, even vocals. so if anything, this should have lower spacing than most of the kiai I interpret this differently, since the music has a bass drum on every object so imo that increases the intensity, also it's in the end of the kiai so having a intense jump at the end is common

it's not about doing what's common, it's about respecting the song... the song's overall intensity clearly goes down here, even if it has those bass drums, so it makes very little sense to have higher spacing than the rest of the kiai where the main instruments are much more prominent, the snares/rides actually stop playing here, the guitar is playing shorter, lower pitched notes, and even the singer's voice gets quieter because of that, even if the pitch is slightly higher here, which all clearly hint that the song becomes softer here, and it should be shown through lower spacing, or lower intensity here
Sorry dude, but I guess we just have a different view when it comes to representing this part of the song, for me the drums just stand out, since something like this doesn't happen anywhere else in the song (exept for the very end where i did the same thing), so having larger jumps only makes sense for me.

I hope you're happy with the compromises I made in regards to spacing of the non-kiai parts :3

A bit dissappointed with the use of the magenta combocolour - if you're gonna go as far as using pure white as a colour to match the pv/bg's theme, why not red?...

00:10:375 - This section of the song bothers me due to how nearly the entirety of 00:10:375 to 00:14:750 - is on the left side of the screen, then 00:15:375 - to the bookmark is kind-of right/centered but not fully right like the first section was fully left, leaving it to feel really biased towards the left side of the screen overall. and kind of weirdly so. it feels poorly balanced and leads to it coming off as cramped even though the individual patterns of jumps in it aren't. If any way possible, consider spreading it out some more 🙏

Jin's third work and one of the tracks for the Kagerou Project. It is his most notable song; the original Nico Nico upload has over six million views. The story behind the song revolves around a boy, Hibiya, and a girl, Hiyori. On August 15, Hibiya witnesses Hiyori running out into the street to retrieve a black cat and getting hit by a truck. The heat apparently mocks him in his daze, and he blacks out. He wakes up and it is August 14. He tells Hiyori about his strange dream that took place in the park they were walking in. Just as she steps in front of him, a pole falls from the sky and pierces through her. The heat once again laughs at him, and, before he blacks out, he notices Hiyori seems to be smiling as she dies. This process repeats for decades, the same two days happening again and again. Finally, Hibiya decides to take action and pushes Hiyori out of the way of the truck and is killed himself. In the end, it shows Hiyori was also caught in the loop. It turns out that she had been trying to save Hibiya from death, so the cycle still continues on.
