also, using tickrate 2 on the easy is ridiculous. the SV is pretty high for an easy in the first place and it'd most likely be disorienting for new players. you should change it to 1.

about tickrate 2 , i knew its a bit high on easy , but if i use tick 1 , it sounds very bad when you play , and 0.5 is unrankable (inb4 i used 0.5 T.T..
and SV 0.9 + circle size 3 is enough easy for a bpm220 song's easy , yes . im sure D:...

Hi, please go through Jacob's mod as it points out some unrankable issues that need fixing and gives good advice on other things.

Easy
  1. The whole difficulty has very irregular spacing. Make it more consistent for the beginners.
  2. Tickrate 2 doesn't fit this difficulty. Make it Tickrate 1.
  3. 00:45:618 (1) - This comes very soon after the spinner. It'd be better to give the player more time to react. This is the easiest difficulty after all.
  4. 01:52:709 (2) - Add repeat. Either that or do what Jacob said.
Normal
  1. Tickrate 2 doesn't fit this difficulty. Make it Tickrate 1.
  2. 00:22:164 (1) - This comes very soon after the spinner. It'd be better to give the player more time to react.
Insane
  1. 00:01:982 (1) - Slider slowdowns like these aren't very readable. There are no ticks visible and it's a massive slowdown from 1.0x to 0.5x. This would be much more readable if the slider was visibly longer, like using 0.75x instead.
  2. 00:04:164 (1) - Same as above.
  3. 00:06:346 (1) - Same as above.
  4. 00:40:777 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - These sliders have a strange beat that doesn't play well. The reason for that is the sliders start on the blue ticks instead of the white. The section at 00:53:800 has the same beat but is much better because the player plays on the white, not on the blue. Redo the section at 00:40:709.
  5. 01:11:323 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - Same as above.
  6. 01:28:777 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6) - Same as above.
  7. 02:12:346 (1) - This 1/8 slider is overmapping. It doesn't fit the music at all.

Normal

Perhaps lower the volume for some of those slider ticks that don't really have beats behind them. That tick is really audible and it sounds nothing like the beat.

Hard

I would need to give it a more thorough mod, but I felt more than a few sliders in this difficulty played awkwardly or not entirely complementary to the beat. Make sure that all your sliders are following the strongest beat.

Insane

00:17:800 (1) - Finish doesn't work too well. I know there's that sound there, but it sounds really strange where that spinner ends. I suggest that you end it here 00:19:846 - and lower the volume for the end. start the next spinner here : 00:19:982 - I think that's the only way it will sound nice through here. It doesn't really follow those cymbals, but the spinners are following the chord in the background, so that doesn't matter.



I didn't really give this a proper mod. I noticed these things right away.... I will give a more proper mod probably tomorrow.

I'll edit this post with some considerations. I need to go through your sliders. Some of your sliderjumps in Hard didn't look symmetrical, and some of your slider transitions just looked random and ugly.

And that spinner will bother me if it's end doesn't have it's volume lowered, because the sudden hitsound is unfitting there, because the chord in the background (which the spinner is following) doesn't stop, but your spinner does, and the next spinner doesn't start on a long white tick. The next spinner should start on that long white tick. This makes for a smooth transition into the next spinner.

General
There's too little hitsounds. The beat is boring and monotonous in areas. It makes your beats harder to hit, and it makes things sound like they don't fit. I don't think a rankable map should be so absent of hitsounds and i'm surprised this even got bubbled with so sparse hitsounds. I think the intro part should use a combination of soft and Normal hitsounds.

00:58:164 - kiai section lasts into the break. This is inconsistent with how you did the other kiai times.

Hard to suggest hitsounds. Will need modified combos with different volumes and switches between soft and Normal to not interfere with the sounds. Try using soft whistles in spots and alternating between soft/Normal.

I agree about those slowdowns being hard to read. I also think those sliders are too slow. 0.75x would work much better.

01:25:436 (5,6,7,8) - I don't like the speed up caused by going from 0.8 snap to 1.0, especially since 8, 9 sound like they are slower. Making them faster than the previous notes makes little sense to me.
01:28:709 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6) - oh god again. i'm going to stop mentioning these. Every pattern mapped like this, consider it annoying to listen to IMO.
02:15:618 - Doesn't have the same volumes as the other diffs. I suggest that you make this part the same in all difficulties.

00:40:436 (1,1) - WTF is this?????clap to start and I think it's a bit ridiculous to change directions at that kind of speed.
00:58:164 (1) - After that mess that someone calls intuitive spacing, you couldn't center this?
01:17:664 (11,1) - Really shouldn't have a random jump just to maintain a pattern.
01:26:118 (7,8,1) - Tell me how it's intuitive to have a smaller gap in the timeline have a larger spacing. Change this to reflect the spacing.... also I should note that stack sounds more like a random barrage of sounds more than any form of beat.
01:34:027 (8) - New combo to match the combo here 01:35:118 (1) -
01:36:209 (6) - same.
02:02:391 - Add note to complete the rhythm
02:02:936 (11) - perhaps turn into a 1/2th beat slider and stack on previous note.
02:03:209 (12) - delete or stack on next series of notes/slider. Unsure because two beats are combining and it's confusing in general through here.
02:03:346 (12,13) - Turn into another 1/2th beat slider?
02:12:346 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16) - Another section of random humming. If the note hits don't sound anything like the beat I would not recommend mapping it.


Easier diffs require lots of hitsound adjustments, but less are required as the diffs get harder. That doesn't mean that hitsounds couldn't be included and wouldn't make the diff better as a whole. Regardless all difficulties could be better and i think you should focus on improving the flaws before this gets bubbled again.

I don't think that this is like that ... AngelHoney has been waiting for a bubble or for this to be check out by a MAT/BAT for quite some time so I understand why he is getting upset that now his bubble is being popped and a lot of people just comes here and start modding when they could have done it before. I'm not saying that is bad that they come now and mod, that is good actually, I'm just saying my opinion here about how I think AngelHoney feels and I'm sorry if I don't make sense, I just wanted to share my thoughts.

Easy still has the circle that comes very soon after the spinner. That'll really mess up the beginners. Also, a finish at 01:54:755 - would be nice.

Normal also has that slider that comes really soon after the spinner. It's frustrating to play.

On my first runthrough I didn't find anything on hard, but now that I think about it the spacing at 00:17:800 (1,2,3) - is strange.
00:53:800 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - This was pointed out earlier and I have to agree, these jumps are not only unexpected but don't fit with the difficulty of the diff.

Slowed down sliders in the Insane are still unpredictable.

Steam at the end of the AHO diff still concerns me. The background music has a few instruments in it, but none seem to use 1/4. One of the sounds does a cool sounding weeooeeooeeoo, but it oscillates at 1/2. I'm thinking the ending stream should be 1/2, as 1/4 doesn't seem to match anything (same with the Insane)
As for the playability of the difficulty, I can't play it but I asked around and people seem to enjoy it.


You've fixed a lot, and that's great. There's still more to be done however.

Edit: Went over a lot of my mod in irc. I think it's better, but some parts could use some consistency. I'm unsure about what parts are playable with the lack of consistency in areas. I'll leave someone with a better skill level than myself to reason through some areas if they so wish.

May make modder know better what you're following, as I do hear a drumroll starting with a low volume and becoming higher.
There are other part you can do this to.



An AR9 can make this a human challenge (plus the song doesn't seem to go that fast ).... It's one of the cases an AR9.5 did play good (AR9 play a bit slower. AR10 play much faster ).

Another idea is making your "AngelHoney" an Approved difficulty (because of difficulty)

I made a Normal hitsound with a soft finish for you.

Just put it in the song folder, and when you want to use it, create a green line with soft hitsounds, with c1.With this you could create even better finish patterns, while still retaining the Normal hitsound volume. Requires a full submission if you use it. Please give it a chance.

Here's a possible use for it already.


Normal:

00:00:346 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4)- Each of those single notes between the slider could be the custom hitfinish.

If you find that this is a time consuming process. I have a shortcut. It is useful to create the greenline after the hitsound change first so that it inherits the volumes. You wont need to change the settings for that line if you add it first.


00:10:164 (3,4) - This section onward. The finishes could double to spice it up. You could add a custom finish to the end of 3 and one on 4. And continue the 2 finish pattern for the rest of the notes.

00:24:891 (4,4,3) - here too, custom finish would accentuate the beat.
00:33:073 (2,2) - Custom finish at the ends of these would be perfect. Just listen to the beat if you're unsure whether to use this or not. You'll hear that the hitsounds added make a slight rhythm that people can pick up on while playing.

00:37:164 (3,6,3) - Doesn't have to be a custom finish but a finish on these notes would be nice. In taiko it feels like it should be blue one these notes, so a tradeoff would be a finish. It will play as dun DUN dun dun DUN dun dun DUN

00:40:164 (5) - End of this too. Notice that im suggesting finishes evenly spread across the pattern. I feel these are where the strong points of the beat are. The beat is 3,3,3,3 and every third note should be distinct in the beat. Play the difficulty in taiko to see what I'm talking about.
Please put the effort to add rhythm into your maps. I showed you an example that doesn't interfere with the song at all.

Well I'm not really posting them as a suggestion. I'm trying to make it as clear as possible to the BATs that you're blatantly refusing to make your beatmap better due to laziness.

I did the work for you, and so I have covered my bases, and made quite a good argument in my post. So if it comes down to my opinion over yours, I think mine might just hold more weight.
