00:22:867 (1) - woah random speed increase. May i suggest a sb'ed speed up warning? I added a similar speed up to 00:17:067 (9) to make this less random.
00:46:432 (1,2,3,4,5) - random spacing decrease again. I'll remap.
01:09:635 (1,2,3,4,5) - again random spacing decrease. Ditto.

It feels like a lot of your combos are a lot longer than need be. Perhaps for forced difficulty, which isn't quite nice.
00:17:067 (9) - Due to the lack of ticks, this isn't isn't a readable speed up.
00:22:867 (8) - This speedup feels a bit abrupt.
That said, I don't like the speed ups and slow downs much at all. I find the slow downs, especially, break the flow the map has going for it.
00:31:024 (10) - (+ctrlcv) These jumps just look bad and seem to be the result of lazy pattern making. I would keep 8,9,10 consistently spaced, like in this example.
00:46:432 (1,3) - Avoidable overlap is avoidable. I would move (1) up 2 grid4grids, and (2) and (4) up 1 grid4grid.
01:19:604 (7,8) - Add whistle hitsounds?

Easy:
00:13:079 (3) - Add a whistle?
00:37:006 (3) - I would add a dogtwewywhistlething here for flow improvement. (+similar)
01:08:909 (6) - Put a finish on this?

Holy cow... I guess Ekaru's offset suggestion screwed up my inherited sections. Those notes you pointed out aren't normally impossible, my beatmap was just glitching out like crazy!

It's an easy. nice use of custom hitsounds here.

00:33:743 (3) - This looks pretty, but it would work quite a lot better if it finished 1/2 a beat earlier.

Other than that, nothing to see here.

[Hard]

Surprisingly not much to point out in this (Not that your a bad mapper, it's just the majority of issues are in Hard/insane Maps)

I'd suggest lowering HP Drain by one level, as if you make a miss, well, there's half your HP Missing xD The map itself is darn sexy, though.

All in all, quite a pleasant map. Please take note of referencing where you get hitsounds, but apart from that, great job :D

Alright. First of all i really like your map / diffs.

Insane:
If i were you i'd put those notes that are hid by a slider somewhere where you can see them better (example 00:48:425), but they're O.K.
Sometimes there's too much symmetry instead of flow for the player (00:15:797 - 00:17:428)
Additionally I would turn the HP-drain rate down by 1.

Hard:
Same like the Insane-diff. The notes that got overlapped... It's playable but annoying, too.
01:03:108 - 01:04:921 seems to be a bit too confusing to me, and again there are those overlapped notes... ;)

Normal & Easy:
Well. There's nothing i'd change so far. good work.

Yep, the scratch sounds are from the TWEWY skin. I think I'll credit that skin from this point on, to avoid confusion.

  • Seems fine.
Easy
  1. 00:34:831 (1,3) - That's quite nazi of me, but it struck me when playing: make these symmetrical ? One of their ends has a sharper curve than the other.
  2. 00:43:532 (1) - That spinner is quite short, for an Easy... And you could easily extend it more (like 2/1) should you silence the end.
  3. 01:00:934 (5) - Add a new combo here ? It will cut the (quite long) combo a bit, and make sense, since you switch from the offbeat ticks to the main ones. Also would make a "new combo every big white tick" pattern.
  4. 01:06:734 (5) - Same ?
Normal
  1. Having OD higher than AR doesn't make sense. AR is here to help read the timing window determined by OD to get a 300 or a 100 (there's a reason why they were the same setting before...). Using higher OD basically means the information is wrong.
  2. 00:29:393 (1) - For consistency with the first pattern, this should start 1/2 later and have only one repeat. It would also be less confusing imo, because kick sliders are quite confusing, since the number of repeats can't be expected, and the cursor hides the repeat arrows, which makes the number of repeats difficult to read.
  3. 00:33:743 (1) - Really too short for a spinner in a Normal. Also, why did you use a spinner here, when for this exact same melody, you used circles and sliders before ?
  4. 00:58:033 (1) - This note comes too soon after the spinner. Remember new players don't spin well and need time to readjust their aim.
Hard
  1. 00:18:154 (4,5) - This placement was quite confusing to me, and I git (5) as if it was 1/2 after (4)'s end. That's because I judged the spacing based on (4)'s beginning but not its end :x
  2. 00:37:731 (1,2) - Why are these linear when in this diff (and the other ones) you always used Bézier curves ?
  3. 00:46:432 (1) - This slider is entirely covered by the text that pops out after the spinner. Although it does appear before said text pops out, the text covers all the repeats after the first one.
  4. 01:08:184 (1,2,3) - Due to stacking, this pattern looks rather bad in-game (2) is moved to the upper left). Unstack (2,3) ?
Insane
  1. HP drain is really harsh. I sliderbroke twice and died because of it.
  2. The speedup sections are extremely surprising, despite the ticks.
  3. So are the slow down ones, but that's because the sliders have the same length as the previous ones... but are twice as long in time.
Oh, also, if animask made a diff, it'd be a good idea to link it in the main post. =o

Seems to have a good feel. I'd playtest it, but I don't feel like sitting up on my bed and stimulating my brain like that at this time.

I'm not sure about using Kiai time in this map, as the track sounds fairly consistent thoughout.

[Easy]

00:23:733 (1) I think that Easy players might find such a short slider to be awkward and I'm certainly not too sure if I like it. Either way, place a single circle where this ends. AImod bitches about the proximity of this to end of the spinner and I agree with it in this case. The spinner's long, so the extra recovery time would help the player. Also, I just think that the one circle on the beat feels better.

00:26:673 (2) Instead of these short sliders, why not place two circles on the white ticks after (1)? I think that this would feel and fit the music better anyway.

00:29:573 (2) Same thing.

00:32:474 (2) Same thing. AAAAAHA!

00:55:132 (1) Finish this spinner at the start of the next bar and then remove (1) from the combo after it. That'd be all.

[Normal]

00:12:353 (2) I'd leave this up to you if I even had a way of forcing you to change something, but I think that turning this into a two-note stack would be nice. It'd match what you do a few bars later and this consistency would be good for a Normal.

00:25:948 (4) I'd stack this on top of (1), as long as I could make the pattern after it work. To me, this overlap is awkward.

- There are no grave errors at your map so I'm just gonna Nazi around a bit and give you a star at the end.

Easy is just fine.

- 01:11:447 (3) - hm better shape it like this

Hard:
- 00:13:079 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Would be nicer if this were symmetrical, cause 2,6 aren't. Crtl+h 2 to check.
- 00:42:444 (4,5) - Slider 5 isn't really beautiful. How about re-arranging them to this?
- 00:46:432 (1,2) - I'd stretch these ones a bit more.
- 01:09:091 (2,3,1) - Clustered notes are clustered. Try this instead.
- 01:12:715 - Personally I don't like this idea of mapping along the sliders shape so close, you should try to get some distance between them.

I believe you should have taken a higher Distance Snap Rate from the start here, but whats done is done i guess.
It plays fine anyway.

Insane:
- 00:39:543 (6) - Funny: Put that slider point one grid up to achieve a symmetrical Slider.

Amazing Job on the hitsounding in every diff! It just sound so nice and fits very well to the song too.

first of all,shouldn't the source be Shadow the Hedgehog? not a big deal though,I've checked other Sonic related maps and there were both lower and uppercases,but if you can find a correct info from the original source - it'd be awesome

and scorebar-colour files don't differ that much,are you sure you need all of them? you could use only scorebar-colour.png file and it'd be fine

also,second Kiai should end at 01:09:634,as in Insane..so make sure to fix all other difficulties
and you had another fountain within second Kiai in all diffs except Easy,add it at 01:03:833?

the next thing stack leniency in Insane,set it to 4 at the very least please

and finally SV in Easy.it's the only difficulty with 1,though it makes sense as you use custom tick hitsounds,and SV2 would be awkward..so I suggest to set 1 on all diffs,but it's up to you.I believe it's rankable to have different SVs within mapset

It looks like you're right, though it's hard to tell, since the title of the game is all caps.

I'm keeping the scorebar files, mostly because I designed it to mimic the default skin's animation. If the animation needs to be more distinct, I could do that, but I personally think it's fine right now.

Geez, the custom hitsound in the other difficulties doesn't work without SV2. :(

I changed this where ever I found it. It makes the previous spinner end too fast though, personally, so, I don't know.

These are both fixed. (although I had to turn the repeater on its side instead.)

These are the noteworthy things that can think of. Mostly everything else was changed. Thanks for the Mod!

No, because that song STINKS.

...But seriously, I'm not that big of fan of Shadow's Themes. Personally if there's a song that I'd want mapped from Shadow The Hedgehog it would probably be either GUN Fortress or Lethal Highway...
