[resolved] [assigned] osu! pp rankings are wrong after submitting a score

Yesterday, I went to sleep. Both my osu! client and website were showing myself as #90, even though I was #87 on the rankings page.

So today I wake up, the daily cron has passed.

I can see myself on the rankings page #87:

I can see me #87 on my osu! profile:

I start my osu! client, I am #87 there too:

Then, I played a random 4* ranked map that I didn't even FC (i was playing with mouse xd).
The score submitted, and from this point until the next cron, I'm #90 on both Bancho and website:

I have also experienced this for quite some time now, but in mania. I am around #1000 and I constantly jump up and down by 50 ranks

Not sure what might cause it (since it only happens after you play)

After submitting some other scores today, I even decayed to #91. I'm still #87 on the rankings page. Note that I gained 1pp, this time.

From what I have seen, your rank goes up a certain number after you stop playing for a certain amount of hours and then it goes back down to your original rank after submitting a score. In my case, if I haven't played osu for about 20 hours or so, my ctb rank automatically goes up by 50-55 and then I lose those ranks after submitting a score. This has been happening to me for at least a month and a half.

Not sure if this is a "development" but I can confirm this is happening to me too. Farmed some sweet bonus pp for a few hours and was like "why am i not going up ranks".

Yeah I have had this issue happen to me as well. Also in addition I sometimes have this weird glitch where it updates inaccurately. Like I'll post a new #1 personal top score and I'll go up +1 rank. I become suspicious and play something garbage that won't give me any PP and OMG 50 ranks!

Same issue,after getting 50 more pp on taiko,suddenly dropped by 17 ranks...

This is a seperate issue. It is wrong client-side caching.
Our issue on this thread only affects users pp rankings on score submission (on server).

osu! staff please, could any progress be done on this? It is quite irritating to have 10 messages per day from people asking you to come back into top50 while you already are, or people on Twitch accusing you of lying because the rank in the title doesnt match the rank on the profile

This doesn't only happen to any random user, I think it happens to all users.
In the past when I watched the leaderboards carefully #1 and #2 were in wrong order
The other in the page was correct, but it had the wrong data. The pp of #2 was higher than #1 and was showing #1 in his osu! Profile
And #1 had #2 shown in his profile.
This might mean that either the data is wrong, or the update is slow

~~Your problem could be different, maybe you dropped 117 ranks then gained 100 ranks. Unless this 50pp are multiple scores then it can be correct~~

I'm having the same issue with my mania rank. It always says I'm about 3 ranks lower in Canada then it says on my profile. For example; about a week ago I was #300 Canada according to my profile but according to the rankings I was rank #297 Canada.

I'm pretty confident that the source of this error is probably due to restricted players who are higher than the user in the rankings. This probably explains why highly ranked players like ThePooN would lose only a few ranks each time due to this bug, a mid-rank player like me would lose about 10, and a low-ranked player would lose way more instead.

Aren't restricted still ranked, they just can't submit new scores?
However, I think it's the banned players who can be the cause (or inactive players too) since they get removed from the leaderboards
