We're discussing this on somewhere. Monstrata said it's not against the RC, but RC only restricts very basic/minimum things. As Loctav always says, we need to use our brain, and think what the purpose of those rules are. So to say, even if the star rating allows it, it can still be not enough as the easiest difficulty, if the elements introduced in the map is not appropriate. Also the RC says this on guideline: "If your mapset does not have an Easy difficulty your Normal difficulty should follow the general guidelines for Easy difficulties." More to say, QATs use the word "beginner-friendly" for the easiest diff, so we need to confirm it too. Also even though this map is mapped like 176bpm, the atmosphere of this song isn't just same as typical other 176bpm songs, so you can easily map an easier diff and still make it fit the song.

If you're really bothered making an easier diff here, there's not much things I can do. I'll check if the nerfed Normal is enough, but if I still don't agree, I can't help with this mapset.

okay i respect that

to be very honest i dont even mind making an easy diff, it's just that i feel like it's redundant. the difficulty issue here is the rhythm right? so for example the chorus part of the song the only thing that would be different in the theoretic easy would be: 00:35:505 (1) - shortened to 1/2, 00:39:425 (3,4) - probably deleted and replaced with a 1/4 repeat, 00:45:050 (3,4,5) - 2 1/2 sliders maybe?
my point is, yes an easy diff would definitely help there's no doubt about that, but it's so much more efficient if we just tone down the normal since they are really just minor rhythm differences

the normal -> hard spread is actually higher in this map, normal consists of a higher 1/2 density than mine too!

tl;dr: i'm not a stubborn kid, i will make an easy if i absolutely have to. however i think it's much faster for the both of us to just look at the map together and decide what's not good and fix it on the spot. making an easy and getting mods takes a couple days, fixing the current diff together takes a couple mins , i hope you can allow this uni freshman some time to focus on studies (シ_ _)シ

Same for Normal. imo it sounds good since they're all following the piano, yes the 2nd one skips a note but its still overall follows the rhythm. i also chose to simplify rhythms so it wont be the same diff as normal :]
