I can singletap pretty fast but then there's shit like this map https://osu.ppy.sh/b/695636&m=0 at the near end where if you fuck up for atleast 2 seconds, you're dead.

On the serious note maybe try to discover different tapping form
everyone has different style so I can't really suggest anything to you, not that I can single tap fast myself
maybe try to look at some top player's stream to check out their pattern and start from there

Switching my main tapping finger mid-song, sure. But only if i wanted to avoid breaking my combo.
I tried hovering my tapping hand (like how Rohulk does, for example), didn't work out so well.
I tried to imitate Doomsday's style of tapping, didn't work either.
Not gonna try to tap too hard on my keyboard or else it'll break.
So i'm basically just fucked.
