Hello! From my Queue

Lol'd @ diff's name.
I kind of like Demetori but boy, do most tracks sound alike :O
General

  • Pretty nice map and looks fine to me aesteticaly.
  1. 00:07:899 (1,3) - Guess they were meant to be parallel
  2. 01:03:126 (4,1) - ^
  3. 01:50:512 (2) - Don't like the placement. Place in line with slider?
  4. 01:56:819 (1,2) - - Almost but not quite parallel
  5. 01:59:717 (1,2,3,4) - make the placement look more logical? Even or gradually increasing. Right now (1) if off for 2nd choice.
  6. 02:10:115 (2) - no sound here
  7. Actually whole part have huge problems with relation to music. Also I'd recommend placing 02:10:456 circle or start of the slider on strong drums like that.
  8. 02:17:103 (1,2) - Why? Listen to the music at 50%
  9. 02:22:570 (1,2,3,4) - Guess it's fine but why this length of sliders? Smth like this works aswell but easier to hit imo.
  10. 02:24:956 (5,6) - That triplet is there in music but 02:24:530 (3) - isn't there. Consider checking every triplet like this. Overmapping is fine but making some diffentiation between actual triplets and overmapped ones helps create better connection with the music.
  11. 02:26:490 (1,2,3,4) - wat? You just want this to be hard for no (musical) reason?
  12. 03:24:444 (1) - blanket is off
  13. 03:29:898 (1) - same. Is this on purpose? Guess not - you have it right slghtly later
  14. 03:38:080 (1,2) - not parallel again
  15. 04:34:842 (4,5) - - C'mon. If all those on purpose then make them differ a bit more. They just look like "failed to be parallel" to me. 04:38:251 (1,2) - those are good for example.
  16. 04:45:410 (2) - blanket

Adding a spinner somewhere would be nice too.

Good luck with ranking!

  16. 04:45:410 (2) - blanket - - Fixed!

Adding a spinner somewhere would be nice too. - Perhaps.

  3. 02:24:956 (5,6) - That triplet is there in music but 02:24:530 (3) - isn't there. Consider checking every triplet like this. Overmapping is fine but making some diffentiation between actual triplets and overmapped ones helps create better connection with the music. uh there is a note there
  4. 02:26:490 (1,2,3,4) - wat? You just want this to be hard for no (musical) reason? how is this hard for no reason lol? I picked doubles here specifically as imo this represents the music best here. The percussion on 1&2/3&4 which I chose to map because it is most prominent compared to everything else which is just mostly a series of long notes
Thanks direday!

  1. Since you have like 0 tags, I suggest you go digging some from this ranked mapset. It's not dozen years old so it's somewhat relevant probably.
  2. Use the japanese title 幻視の夜 ~ Ghostly Eyes (from their website) and use the current one as a romanized title.
  3. the approach circles of the dark brown combo color are barely visible on high background dim levels. Consider making the color lighter
  4. 00:22:558 (1,1) - could be blanketed
  5. 00:42:842 (4,5,6) - inconsistent spacing for no apparent reason. Arrange it so that it lines up with the previous spacing and the music
  6. 00:43:353 (1,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4) - while it wasn't that terrible to play, these patterns are flowing really haphazardly. Also 00:43:865 (1,2,3,4,5) - has clearly larger spacing than 00:44:376 (1,2,3,4) - while the music is the exact same
  7. 01:27:671 (1,2,1,2,3,4) - visual spacing from 01:27:671 (1) - to 01:28:012 (1,2,3,4) - is not the same as from 01:27:841 (2) - ; could be
  8. 01:54:774 (3) - would flow better if ctrl+g; tho then you gotta change the pattern overall little due the placement of the following objects
  9. 01:59:717 (1,2,3,4) - could use equal angling so that every 2 sliders form the exact same pattern as the 2 before. Would look better.
  10. 02:15:399 (1,2) - very easily confused with the 1/2 stacked notes before at 02:14:376 (1,2,3,4) -
  11. 02:30:070 (1,2,3) - no need to have exact spacing on both but atm there is huge difference between 1->2 and 2->3
  12. 02:37:399 (2,1) - blanket is off
  13. 02:45:069 (10) - NC this
  14. 03:29:387 (6,1) - blanket off here as well
  15. 03:33:989 (1,3) - sliderend of 1 blanket with 3 is cool, but the other blanket forming between em doesn't look too good cuz slider 1 is too straight
  16. 03:40:637 (5,1) - blanket slightly off here as well
  17. 03:58:364 (3,4) - why do these have so low spacing compared to 03:58:023 (1,2) - when the music is intensifying. Also while 03:58:705 (1) - is cool idea, it should be positioned little better (as in the direction of the slider leads perfectly to the direction of the next one or smth) since now the connection point doesn't look too good
  18. 05:01:944 (4) - You should NC this instead of 05:02:114 (1) - since the music is heavily emphasised as 6+6+4
Good luck!

  2. 01:15:910 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - this sound really off since the stream is mapped on 2 different things, i'd suggest to remove 01:16:250 (5) - and change the rhythm like this ?
  3. 02:39:104 (7) - just a nazi suggestion but you could place it to x132 y144 to keep the same distance between objects with 02:38:763 (5,6) - and keeping the overlap with 02:37:910 (1) - so it would look like that
  4. 02:44:387 (1) - NC to keep consistency since you NC every finish ?

00:43:353 (1) - 00:43:865 (1,2,3,4,5) - Map these the same
02:08:751 (4,5,6) - Make these start on white ticks
03:56:489 (2,3,4,5,6) - Shape looks kinda odd and maybe should add some sharp angles like the previous
03:57:853 (4,1) - Fix stack
04:21:887 (1,2) - The flow could be better
04:46:944 (1) - I don't think the NC is needed
04:49:330 (2,3) - The same stack as this is 1/1 here 04:53:592 (2,3) - and 04:54:955 (1,2) - it may be confusing
05:02:626 (1) - NC not needed imo because it's not on a downbeat

03:56:489 (2,3,4,5,6) - Shape looks kinda odd and maybe should add some sharp angles like the previous - I know what you mean but i'm going for the visuals here because it becomes more intense, sorta acts as a build-up
03:57:853 (4,1) - Fix stack - Fixed!
04:21:887 (1,2) - The flow could be better - Fixed!
04:46:944 (1) - I don't think the NC is needed - Fixed!
04:49:330 (2,3) - The same stack as this is 1/1 here 04:53:592 (2,3) - and 04:54:955 (1,2) - it may be confusing - I think it's progessed too far ahead for the player to be conditioned into missing that.
05:02:626 (1) - NC not needed imo because it's not on a downbeat - I like the aesthetic.

The map looks really good already, hoped I helped
gl!
Thank you and thanks for the mod! ;)

Seems your bg isnt quite clear, so i think this would help
AR9.4 is a little too fast. try something like 9.2

Collab
01:26:734 (2,4) - imo we dont need those note cuz here have not beats
03:12:342 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - using increasing ds can better emphasize this part

already good for me

03:12:342 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - using increasing ds can better emphasize this part might do, kinda like the low spacing as there was just an intense part right before, kinda acts as a build up to the next section

already good for me

2017-02-04 13:29 Ambient: wat, oh boy
2017-02-04 13:30 -himei: i think the offset is 1072
2017-02-04 13:30 -himei: i just got like many 100s when i was pretty sure i was hitting right
2017-02-04 13:31 -himei: if u are not sure about the timing try to ask some qat or something
2017-02-04 13:31 Ambient: hmmm
2017-02-04 13:31 Ambient: yeah i might do
2017-02-04 13:31 -himei: i mean
2017-02-04 13:32 -himei: the starting point is somewhere between 00:01:059 - and 00:01:081 -
2017-02-04 13:32 -himei: because it starts faster than metronome
2017-02-04 13:32 -himei: if u listen closely
2017-02-04 13:33 -himei: alright so shud i report everything i see or u want me to focus on some certain things
2017-02-04 13:33 -himei: ?
2017-02-04 13:33 Ambient: yah i see what you mean
2017-02-04 13:33 Ambient: entirely up to you, im fine either way
2017-02-04 13:33 -himei: ok
2017-02-04 13:34 -himei: well.. hm putting the slider end on sounds like this is kinda weird 00:01:933 -
2017-02-04 13:34 -himei: these sounds are too strong and unique
2017-02-04 13:34 Ambient: make it clickable?
2017-02-04 13:34 -himei: and also u emphasized them by adding custom hs
2017-02-04 13:34 -himei: well i guess so
2017-02-04 13:35 -himei: 00:04:660 - same here
2017-02-04 13:35 -himei: aesthetics are good here so i would suggest some global things
2017-02-04 13:35 -himei: 00:01:592 (3) - it can be 3/4 (on s-end on blue tick)
2017-02-04 13:35 -himei: 00:01:592 (3) - and this clockable
2017-02-04 13:36 Ambient: ah yup totally agree
2017-02-04 13:37 -himei: 00:06:194 - these sounds are the same as 00:04:831 - here i guess?
2017-02-04 13:37 -himei: add custom hs there too?
2017-02-04 13:37 Ambient: wtf how'd i miss that
2017-02-04 13:38 -himei: 00:07:387 - ok fix all these places, i wont metion it again
2017-02-04 13:38 -himei: 00:11:137 (3,4,5) - i guess it should be similar to 00:11:819 (7,8,1) -
2017-02-04 13:39 -himei: i sould stack 2 1/4 on the sliderend
2017-02-04 13:39 -himei: and then spread them
2017-02-04 13:39 -himei: kinda inconsistent
2017-02-04 13:39 -himei: or stack the 00:11:819 (7,8,1) -
2017-02-04 13:39 -himei: works too
2017-02-04 13:40 Ambient: yup yup
2017-02-04 13:41 -himei: 00:16:081 (1,3) - make them paralell
2017-02-04 13:41 -himei: 00:25:285 - i wouldnt skip this beat
2017-02-04 13:41 -himei: it can be reverse slider
2017-02-04 13:41 -himei: due to the melody
2017-02-04 13:42 Ambient: yup that can work
2017-02-04 13:42 -himei: 00:28:268 - skipped beat
2017-02-04 13:43 -himei: that shouldnt be skipped in my opinion
2017-02-04 13:43 -himei: cuz it emphasizes the start on new interval
2017-02-04 13:43 Ambient: okie should do
2017-02-04 13:44 -himei: 00:30:740 - same thing with reverse slider
2017-02-04 13:44 -himei: 00:36:194 -
2017-02-04 13:44 Ambient: yeah i'll get on em
2017-02-04 13:44 -himei: hmm
2017-02-04 13:45 -himei: why not to make a small zig zag jumps on these sounds 00:35:853 - 00:36:024 - 00:36:194 - 00:36:365 -
2017-02-04 13:45 -himei: it think it would be complementing the melody
2017-02-04 13:45 -himei: cuz they are all the same kinda
2017-02-04 13:45 Ambient: ah yup i getcha, will consider
2017-02-04 13:46 -himei: i guess my suggetion about reverse slider is bad
2017-02-04 13:46 -himei: so yea..
2017-02-04 13:47 Ambient: its alright dude
2017-02-04 13:47 Ambient: i'll consider everything anyways
2017-02-04 13:47 -himei: 00:43:865 (1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4) - hm i dont really like the ds change here and the whole pattern seems weird and out of place
2017-02-04 13:47 -himei: idk what to suggest tho
2017-02-04 13:48 Ambient: literally anything you think could be improved/changed/swapped
2017-02-04 13:48 Ambient: free kds so
2017-02-04 13:49 -himei: well u can listen to the melody here closely
2017-02-04 13:49 -himei: sec
2017-02-04 13:49 Ambient: at the moment its kds worthy
2017-02-04 13:50 -himei: 00:44:120 - 00:44:206 - 00:44:376 - 00:44:546 - most palpable sounds there
2017-02-04 13:50 -himei: but u didnt emphasize first 2
2017-02-04 13:50 -himei: so that why it looks weird imo
2017-02-04 13:52 -himei: 00:50:171 (1,2,3) - u kinda glued this pattern together
2017-02-04 13:52 -himei: which isnt that good cuz
2017-02-04 13:52 -himei: 00:50:512 - its a new interval
2017-02-04 13:52 -himei: with different sounds
2017-02-04 13:53 -himei: 00:50:171 - and this is the ending of the previous interval
2017-02-04 13:54 -himei: 00:53:240 - here u showed how it should be
2017-02-04 13:54 Ambient: oo i see
2017-02-04 13:54 -himei: 00:56:819 (5,6,1) - no need to do things like this in 2017
2017-02-04 13:55 -himei: osu is using stacking so they will be in top of each other any ways
2017-02-04 13:55 -himei: so just stack them i guess
2017-02-04 13:55 Ambient: rip moph
2017-02-04 13:55 -himei: 00:59:632 (6) - it is not precisely centered inbetween s-end and s-star of these sliders
2017-02-04 13:56 -himei: 01:01:933 (5,6,1) - distance here seems inconsistent
2017-02-04 13:57 -himei: also he is using 01:01:677 (3,4) - a lot so... yea maybe its better to leave it as it is
2017-02-04 13:57 -himei: 01:04:660 (5,6,1) - ^
2017-02-04 13:58 -himei: 01:07:813 (8) -
2017-02-04 13:58 -himei: fix it^
2017-02-04 13:59 -himei: 01:14:035 (4,5,6) - i would suggest this https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7231496
2017-02-04 13:59 Ambient: r i p
2017-02-04 14:00 -himei: 01:23:495 (3) - not centered
2017-02-04 14:02 -himei: 01:41:819 (6) - i would suggest this https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7231514 and consider to fix the folowwing section of sliders
2017-02-04 14:03 -himei: 01:42:331 (2,3,4) - triggered http://puu.sh/tNXo8/c9fd89e9f0.jpg
2017-02-04 14:04 Ambient: :>
2017-02-04 14:04 -himei: 01:47:785 (2,3,4) - yea u shud fix these triplets
2017-02-04 14:04 -himei: the x/y change shud be consistent
2017-02-04 14:05 -himei: i mean theres a lot of similar places
2017-02-04 14:05 -himei: 01:47:785 (2,3,4,7,8,1) -
2017-02-04 14:05 -himei: you either stack or spread
2017-02-04 14:06 Ambient: yah it adds variation
2017-02-04 14:06 -himei: hmmm
2017-02-04 14:06 -himei: well i wouldnt do that so w/e i guess
2017-02-04 14:06 -himei: damn i got to go, ill finish it once i come back
2017-02-04 14:07 -himei: in 4-5 hours
2017-02-04 14:07 Ambient: alrighty sounds good,
2017-02-04 14:07 Ambient: i'll save the log for now
2017-02-04 14:07 Ambient: i'll be asleep by then anyways
2017-02-04 14:07 -himei: alright
2017-02-05 00:25 -himei: yo i got few mins free
2017-02-05 00:25 -himei: we can continue
2017-02-05 00:25 Ambient: yup sure thing
2017-02-05 00:27 -himei: 01:53:240 (2,3,4) - fix triplet
2017-02-05 00:28 -himei: 02:10:200 - it shud be double with 02:10:285 - this sound
2017-02-05 00:28 -himei: listen closely
2017-02-05 00:28 -himei: rhythm here is weird
2017-02-05 00:28 -himei: i mean ^ that place
2017-02-05 00:29 -himei: hmmm
2017-02-05 00:29 -himei: uh its like the entire section is kinda fucked
2017-02-05 00:29 -himei: but i guess its ure style or something
2017-02-05 00:29 -himei: but i dont like it
2017-02-05 00:30 Ambient: its a bit all over the place i'll admit
2017-02-05 00:30 Ambient: i'll see what i can do
2017-02-05 00:31 -himei: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7237581 structure here is messed up i think
2017-02-05 00:31 -himei: 02:13:353 (1,2,3,1,2,3) - u could improve it somehow
2017-02-05 00:32 -himei: 02:22:570 (1,2,3,4) - it is really hard to say whether its doubles or kicksliders
2017-02-05 00:32 -himei: i'd suggest to increase sv for a bit
2017-02-05 00:33 -himei: 02:26:831 (4,5) - not linear xdddd
2017-02-05 00:34 -himei: yea moph is more focused on strucutre
2017-02-05 00:34 -himei: cuz the following section is more structured than previous
2017-02-05 00:36 -himei: 02:54:955 (2) - 290 157
2017-02-05 00:36 -himei: 02:55:126 (3) - 176 171
2017-02-05 00:36 -himei: 02:55:637 (6) - 313 294
2017-02-05 00:37 -himei: 02:55:637 (6) - these sliders that he put thru this section are kinda weird
2017-02-05 00:37 -himei: cuz they are straigh which means the structure shud use 45 or 90* angles
2017-02-05 00:38 -himei: i dont really like that choice
2017-02-05 00:38 -himei: it such sliders are usually used in old/symmetrical maps
2017-02-05 00:38 -himei: which isnt about this map
2017-02-05 00:40 -himei: i mean theres a clear difference inbetween ur parts and his parts
2017-02-05 00:40 -himei: u should rework some aesthetics to make the transition more smoth
2017-02-05 00:40 -himei: smooth
2017-02-05 00:40 Ambient: yeah fair enough, we're both quite different in mapping styles
2017-02-05 00:42 -himei: 03:37:910 (5) - https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7237658
2017-02-05 00:43 -himei: 03:57:342 (1,2,3) - ;w;
2017-02-05 00:43 -himei: 03:58:705 (1) - hmm make it more readable
2017-02-05 00:43 -himei: ppl will get confused
2017-02-05 00:44 Ambient: shall do
2017-02-05 00:45 -himei: 04:44:728 (1,2,3,4,1) - make them parallel at least
2017-02-05 00:46 -himei: alright... well i mentioned most of the issues already
2017-02-05 00:46 -himei: so theres not must left after initial mod
2017-02-05 00:46 -himei: so yea gl on this
2017-02-05 00:47 -himei: but theres still lots of work are left >_>
2017-02-05 00:47 Ambient: yah there's alot to do
2017-02-05 00:47 Ambient: just post it on the thread and i'll give some kds
2017-02-05 00:47 -himei: ok

Heyo! From the clan queue, cool song! :D

Collab
  1. 00:10:624 (1) - should be soft sample instead of drum sample
  2. 00:21:874 (3,4) - maybe reduce ds here to emphasize 00:22:215 (1) - a bit more or spacce (1) more, a bit underrepresented imo after as the finisher of the section
  3. 00:43:181 (6,7,1) - sounds more like a 3-3 kind of rythm with leaving 00:43:436 - open/mapped pasivly would fit he music better since thers no drum/main guitar there
  4. 00:55:624 (1) - 01:28:351 (1) - nothing really wrong but I kinda expected a hitsound volume/sv drop here since this section is alot calmer then the previous one, just found the transtion between these sections a bit odd but yeah different styles from different mappers would be good argument to counter (also bit lesser for 03:15:067 (1) - since thats more of similar intensity then prev)
  5. 01:04:488 (4,5) - would nerf ds here a bit, was a bit unexpected speedup in this section while playing and all your other 1/4sliders into circle are pretty close towards eachoter in this section
  6. 01:52:726 (6,1) - ahh the stacking kinda makes you lose momentum bigtime here :/ and with how powerful the downbeat is, spacing these would be better imo
  7. 01:59:715 (1) - finish on head for the cymbals? kinda same intenisty as 01:58:181 (1) -
  8. 02:03:806 (1,2) - bit underhitsounded imo for how powerfull these are, maybe both a whistle and (2) a finish aswell?
  9. 02:10:709 (2,3) - might cause some reading probs since I don't think you ever used 1/2 rythm after a 1/4 slider, Kinda had to hold myself back aswell while playing but might just be me, but yeah when you check stuff like 02:30:920 (5,1) - later you might think its 1/2 aswell for example due to flow spacing and minor flow break
  10. 02:17:272 (2,3) - kinda similar like ^ downbeat also kidna strong with drum and clappy sound so would be good to make it clickable
  11. 02:23:249 (1) - skipping a pretty audbile drum here in the middle aside from that guitar
  12. 02:41:232 (3,4) - thoughts about making this a 1/2 slider like 02:41:914 (8) - ? kidna sounds similar in the music at 100% like theres repitition and the end of 02:41:232 (3) - is a bit overmapped
  13. 04:16:430 (6) - NC
  14. 04:51:885 (1,2) - first the return then the slider? follows the guitar and drum changes a bit better

Cool map, gl! looks about ready :D
