In terms of FCing for pp it's from 4.7* - 6*, it's not that accurate to look at star rating to start with, as it is flawed.
Basically for fc i play mostly 5*> but sometimes playing 4.2-5* for fun
I mostly play maps around 5*, but if I were to play for pp I would be playing mostly around 5.8* maps.
5.3*-6* nomod unless tired (4.5-5.3*) or feeling really tryhard (too much variety of mod/diff range to bother mentioning).
6-6.7* for pp if nomod, 6-6.5* with HDHR for pp. Anything above is for fun.
Currently 5 stars is your entry to 4 digit, these give around ~200pp. While 4 stars are worth around ~150pp, and at 6 stars the experienced difficulty spikes and becomes around ~300pp. If your top plays are ~200pp then you will have around 4000pp, at ~250pp you will have total around 5000pp. Meaning that a player with 4000pp typically plays 5 star maps (excluding the free pp bonus).
4k pp, 11.5k Rank. My current top ten plays range from 5.09* - 6.01.
OD, length and difficulty spikes are more important than star rating tbh. At roughly 99% accuracy, 4.00 - 4.99* map are usually worth 100 - 175pp at OD8, or 125-210pp if they're OD9. Marathons can be worth more than TV sizes that are 0.5* higher rated.
TV sizes can give a lot of PP due to having spikes in difficulty that would normally rate them higher up, e.g. a lot of 5* TV sizes have a 6* jump section in them somewhere, but since the map contains mostly 5* sections, the rating is not affected much.

Almost 100k here, I can fc most 3.5-4* maps, that's what I mostly play, though my top few plays are 5-5.5*. For fun I play 6-8* maps with relax (mostly freedom dive another and image material).
I enjoy 5~6* songs ..But as far as beating 6* I really can't yet ;'D. Rank ~122k.

When I'm playing to improve accuracy 4-5* maps, but when I am trying to improve streaming/jump skill I play up to 5.5* maps. Rank 100k.
