  • [The Apparition, a Messenger of the Eternal Scripture]
    (*) It is okay for this difficulty to be at normal level as long as you keep it to one difficulty, but I'm not sure about the naming. You may want to check to make sure you're allowed to have a custom difficulty name for a normal diff, since it's the hardest diff this may be okay.
    (*) I suggest changing the name of this to just "A Messenger of the Eternal Scripture", since there is already apparition in the title, it seems repetitive and unnecessary. Also it just makes it shorter and cleaner.
    (*) Overall your DS seems to be a bit low, so maybe increase it to 1.00x-1.50x.
    (*) You may want to copy timing points from the ranked apparition. Copying timing points from ranked maps is always a good idea as they are definitely correct and in the right place.
    (*) Relating to this point above, your first timing point should be at 0569, and the BPM is 240, not 120.
    (*) 00:54:569 (1) - You should never place objects out of the grid in normal difficulties.
    (*) 01:10:069 (4,1) - Again
    (*) 01:00:569 (3) - This slider goes over a strongly emphasised part, starting at 1:01:569. You should definitely map this section. Try doing something like this http://puu.sh/rcZJh.jpg.
    (*) 01:08:569 (3,4) - You should map in between these notes, same reason as before.

    (*) 04:40:166 (4,1,2,3) - This doesn't look nice. Try stack (3) on (4) and adjusting the pattern a little.
    (*) Also in this part of the map you seem to only place circles, which can throw some players off and is also not very nice to look at. Try add a couple sliders in here.
    (*) 04:52:166 (1,1,1) - I don't like these repeating sliders. Maybe add several sliders or a couple repeating sliders.
    (*) I think you should remove the bursts of kiai between 4:52 and 5:09. It's unnecessary.
    (*) 05:17:006 (1,1) - Same here, this is too close. You need to space your slider and following notes more.

    In general it looks like your patterns are nice, and the map looks good, but you need to increase the DS, and fix some small placement issues and your map will look a lot better. I skipped a lot of the parts since I would be repeating myself, but generally what I have said should fix a lot of other problems you have.

The mod didn't really help, sorry. This map is going for approval, which means it can extend to ANY length and is able to use free naming, sorry but it's not another 1:30 animango song with 10 diffs.

  1. The offset feels more accurate at 54,571 to be honest.
  2. 01:44:069 (2,3) – Move these two down so they’re symmetrical along the end of 01:42:569 (1)?
  3. 01:53:571 (4,1) – Too close to the slider end imo, I’d move 4 a bit away.
  4. 02:50:578 (5) – This note sounds way off timing.
  5. 03:21:569 (2,3,4,5) – Could be more linear.
  6. 04:56:006 (1,2) – This plays pretty awkwardly. Maybe something like this? https://puu.sh/rLWss/fe1cda5840.png I just don’t like the multi-reverse slider because it’s so short and difficult to read how many times you’re gonna reverse it.
  7. 04:59:606 (1) - +1 Reverse?

  11. 05:36:086 (1,4) – … I don’t know about this. Could you try to stack these somehow?
  12. 05:41:846 (3,4,6) – Same as above. +1 reverse is possible. Also, 05:42:806 (5) ? Why is this one longer than the others?

Simply because it is more accurate regarding offsets and timing signatures

Current timing has wrong signatures many times e.g. the 270 BPM kiai 06:09:792 - being 1 bar of 6/4 + 2 of 4/4 repeatedly

  1. first off i see no reason to have so many slider ticks, might as well leave it at 1, or at least silence it
  2. 01:10:569 (1,2,3,4) - would say you can map sliders onto here as well to emphasise on more notes and make them less jagged for the decreased intensity effect
  3. 01:29:569 (3,4,1) - why not make it a slider as well, seemingly no point to have it as 3 hitcircles
  4. 01:33:569 - not gonna map to big white tick?
  5. 01:44:069 (2,3,4,1,2) - not very sure as to what your rhythm choice is here, so will it be drums or vocals or both? if anything i feel like there can be more emphasised notes
  6. 02:41:561 (1,1,2,1,1,2,1,2,3,4,5,1,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - would not suggest having hitcircles for parts with various bpm changes, can throw off Normal players
  7. 02:50:515 (5) - this should be shifted 1/4 after

    i think i'll stop here, am not quite sure how to mod this because your whole map has not much of a structure i can grasp. the notes and sliders are placed well but it really doesnt follow the song at some points and it makes no sense to me to look in the editor. i could say it probably plays alright if there were less unreadable things.
