I should just say how the translation of "Strawberry cake" in French is kind of ambiguous.
"Gateau de fraise" implies that the cake is made with (maybe "only") strawb'.
"Gateau à la fraise" could be another valid expression for "Strawberry cake", as it implies that the cakes tastes like strawb'.
If the English and American people make a distinction between those two points, I'd like to know how. I only know about the term of
"[whatever]-flavo(u)red".
