I just LOVE Easy-Insane. Extra and onwards feel a little bit overdone to me but they are still good maps. Great job overall!

00:57:784 - 00:58:090 - 01:07:579 - 01:07:886 - 01:08:498 - 02:06:355 - 02:06:661 - 02:07:273 - I hear 1/12 (not 1/8)

00:12:171 (3) - 00:13:090 (1) - 00:52:733 (4) - 01:02:528 (4) - 01:14:926 (1) - 01:18:448 (2) - 01:22:733 (2) - 01:25:794 (4) - 01:27:937 (2) - 01:33:141 (9) - 01:34:365 (2) - 01:34:059 (3) - 01:34:977 (3) - 01:37:426 (7) - 01:38:039 (9) - 01:51:508 (4) - 01:57:324 (2) - 01:57:630 (4) - 02:01:304 (4) - Do these really deserve circles? I hear nothing or a really slight change mostly in vocals and hardly with 25% PR.

00:12:171 (3) - 00:21:049 (1) - 00:22:886 (3) - 00:23:498 (1) - 00:24:722 (1) - 00:30:539 (4) - 00:33:141 (5) - 00:44:926 (4) - 00:45:539 (1) - 00:45:998 (3) - 00:49:518 (2) - 00:50:743 (6) - ... I would emphasize, what happen on these (and some more) slider ends more, because the music does that, too.

00:16:763 (1,2,1,2) - Also I would emphasize the first note the most.

Why is this not an issue?

If I am wrong what I don't think, might someone tell me that?

There seem to be some valid issues bulli mentioned, so I am taking this down before it's too late (after a little bit of discussion).

The 1/8s are definitely fine as they are. Simplifying these rhythms works well to keep the overall straightforward rhythm of the map consistent. The simplification isn't really noticable when playing the maps so it isn't necessary to change.

However, you should look into the emphasis and overmapping issues bulli mentioned. I get that you are emphasizing the transitions with circle patterns, however they are a bit over the top and make the rhythm of the map unbalanced, so I recommend to rethink your rhythm choices.

1/8 works as a simplification for these, but

on Nostalgia i have a few conceptual issues:

  1. 00:15:386 (2) - just when you think you're gonna map the vocals for the most part you swap to background instruments
  2. 00:16:916 (2,2) - these are way less intense than than the respective first circles
  3. 00:18:906 (1,2,1,2) - map one syllable each and 00:19:518 (1,2) - represent two syllables while being exactly the same thing in the map
  4. 00:23:346 (4) - nothing in the song suggests this to be something you need to press
  5. 00:35:590 (4) - nothing really suggests this to be a circle
  6. 00:38:039 (6,7) - crtl+ging rhythm would represent the vocals you had even better while allowing you to put a more active hitsound on 00:38:192 -
  7. 00:47:835 (3,4) - if these follow vocals i have no idea what's so clickworthy in 00:48:294 - , the vocal is on its end
  8. 00:52:733 (4) - i think the effect this circle would have is kinda misleading, it implies it's something that has energy behind it like 00:52:886 (1,2,1,2) - while it is, at most, an echo so i think leaving these kind of things out would overall put way more focus on the things that actually exist in the song
  9. i think most of the kiai is actually swinging on 5/16s while you map 1/4, it's almost a semiswing rhythm like https://osu.ppy.sh/b/833784 uses but you kinda ignore it all the way through
  10. stuff like 01:27:937 (2,2) - is found all over the map and effectively just invents a different song over what's there
when playing it it feels like the song is background music to some kind of map, except for a few parts you actively go out of your way to invent a bunch of objects that the song otherwise wouldn't really suggest as circles

i think that map would fit way better if it wouldn't need to
1. invent additional layers that the song otherwise doesn't have in order to emphasise objects
2. mix multiple layers together at almost all times to create rhythm

  1. 00:15:386 (2) - just when you think you're gonna map the vocals for the most part you swap to background instruments I couldn't figure out how to explain the word "Innocent" by the rhythm, so I only used background instruments, also the other diffs (Insane, Expert) used like this.
  2. 00:16:916 (2,2) - these are way less intense than than the respective first circles I don't think they are intense circles when I hit them. Rather, they emphasis even higher vocal sound than the other vocal sound.
  3. 00:18:906 (1,2,1,2) - map one syllable each and 00:19:518 (1,2) - represent two syllables while being exactly the same thing in the map I will fix it more properly.
  4. 00:23:346 (4) - nothing in the song suggests this to be something you need to pressI will fix it
  5. 00:35:590 (4) - nothing really suggests this to be a circleconsidering it, I explained that rhythm in the other diffs.
  6. 00:38:039 (6,7) - crtl+ging rhythm would represent the vocals you had even better while allowing you to put a more active hitsound on 00:38:192 - ^
  7. 00:47:835 (3,4) - if these follow vocals i have no idea what's so clickworthy in 00:48:294 - , the vocal is on its end ^
  8. 00:52:733 (4) - i think the effect this circle would have is kinda misleading, it implies it's something that has energy behind it like 00:52:886 (1,2,1,2) - while it is, at most, an echo so i think leaving these kind of things out would overall put way more focus on the things that actually exist in the song I will fix it.

When I listened carefully, I could hear that sound a little bit, but there are different moods that one is really calm and quiet. Lean on is kinda club music, I think they should be dynamic motions for worthy rhythm(fast beat) in this part. So I want to use 1/4 rhythm, they have strong echo sound.
  10. stuff like 01:27:937 (2,2) - is found all over the map and effectively just invents a different song over what's there considering it.

I have no idea what I will do. It is not only issues in Nostalgia diff, but also the other diffs such as, Insane and Expert diffs. I will find my solution as soon as possible. Thanks for opinions.
