I've been 1k for about a year now. (Ok a year ago exactly I was about 973 and went to 910 then kept going down BUT I WAS 3 DIGITS AT LIKE 5500PP NOT 6200)

lol nope, color (mapped by monstrata) and blade dance was my first 5* and 6*, all aim maps, can't stream anything above 180 bpm for more than 16 notes.
Anybody who mashes their 1st 5* maps for <150pp would normally 80-something% FC Remote Control for roughly 100pp before they even looked a D.M.C..timemon wrote:

My last ones dt were probably near 240-250
5* is a big place

My first 100pp scores were flower flag, dream walker, eisou youga all within 2 hrs with SD.
First 5* fc was Alliez + HR but it never submitted and my 2nd was Startear (full size) +DT. Incidentally I think Startear was also my first 150pp+ score too. 6* is WIP :^)

And its things like this why I started hating PP and playing for FCs.

Tbh, I'd try not to focus on 5* right now, keep in mind you've already come a long way, and just enjoy the game at the level that your playing at. I often look back at all the cool 4* beatmaps that I'm missing out on playing because I've gotten past that point, and it just makes me wish I could re-experience them again
If you really want to get better, just focus on your weak points, even if you get a good score on a song, you still might be struggling on it. If you want to prove to yourself that you are ready for 5*, don't just get a good score, get one with ease

I'm pretty sure my first 5* FC is one of monstrata's maps. But I can't remember

I'm around 24k, and to improve, and get a few extra pp, I would just slap HD onto ~4.5 maps, maybe 4.4, and get at LEAST 99% accuracy, this is a good thing to do, because if you do it enough, you improve your accuracy overall, get more pp, and lastly, at least in my case, get better at reading.
