---------------
Too Much Korean, Cannot Read: Mp3 file changed; offset is the same, so redl is not a must (new mp3 has higher bitrate)

  1. b4 you're going to get it like a bubble or qualified, i think you should check the hitsound more carefully. i found some missing hitsounds there .-.
  2. 02:42:551 (5) - did u miss a hitsound set on the tail?
  3. 04:05:047 (5) - clap on head pls
  4. 05:03:885 (3) - clap
  5. 05:12:068 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2) - i see what u did there :^)
  6. 05:17:485 (1) - i think the spinner can end well in 05:23:173 -

@lit120 I knew you haven't forgotten about this m4m <3

all fixed

I rechecked hitsouding again and updated.

Thank you for the mod owo

sorry for the super late m4m; been revamping my modding style.

  1. hmm is it just me or is some of the timing off at some points? for example the first chorus feels a little late (i'm hitting too early on most notes). then again it might just be me..
  2. 00:48:881 (1) - mm i think you can give more emphasis by moving it somewhere on the bottom half of the screen; stack here feels kind of underwhelming imo
    SPOILER
just an example of where you could place it
  3. 01:19:714 (6,1) - have you considered making these parallel for aesthetics?
  4. 01:28:547 (4) - red pivot slider looks out of place with all the other curved sliders; consider removing red pivot for a curved slider?
  5. 01:50:243 (3,4) - shouldn't spacing be a little higher to emphasize clap since you did it everywhere else?
  6. 02:18:562 (3) - since rhythm here is different due to vocals being slightly different, why not add circle at drum note 02:18:230 - so player can notice the difference earlier?
  7. 02:41:885 (1,2) - i get the spacing increase here for buildup here but why is this the largest spacing? plays a bit out of place since the next few jumps have higher buildup but less spacing
  8. 03:01:218 (4,1) - kind of a weird angle when moving from (4) to (1); maybe try to curve (1) inwards towards (4) so catch-in angle is a bit smoother?
    SPOILER
just an idea that might make movement a bit more natural
  9. 03:11:718 (1) - don't see the point in NC'ing this 1/3 snap pattern too, since having NC here won't impact readability. i recommend you remove this
  10. 03:38:383 (7) - 1/1 gap here feels kind of lacking imo; maybe try 3/4 slider here for some slight vocal emphasis?
  11. 04:05:047 (5) - imo the 1/4 buzz slider here isn't fast enough to match the piano. consider using a 1/8 buzz slider here
  12. 04:09:547 (1,2,3,1,2,3,4,1) - interesting choice to have spacing decrease here because of quieter piano, but the drums are still pretty strong. you sure about this?
  13. 04:18:073 (2) - consider Ctrl + G here so that slider end points towards the next slider 04:18:740 (1) - . you will also have to Ctrl + G 04:16:073 (1) - 04:16:740 (2) - 04:17:407 (1) - if you take this suggestion
  14. 04:30:080 (1) - starting to build up again, so slider here feels a little underwhelming. consider two circles instead?
  15. 04:52:906 (1) - why new combo here? seems kind of unnecessary
  16. 05:02:738 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,1) - kind of a similar thing about a previous point; you're building up here and then choose to follow the quieter sections of music while drums are still really strong. just making sure if you're 100% certain on wanting this

  1. hmm is it just me or is some of the timing off at some points? for example the first chorus feels a little late (i'm hitting too early on most notes). then again it might just be me..Listening at 25%, I don't think it's off, maybe by 10ms or so, but not sure... I wouldn't be surprised if there are improvements to be made for timing, but I don't think that there is any major issue.
  2. 00:48:881 (1) - mm i think you can give more emphasis by moving it somewhere on the bottom half of the screen; stack here feels kind of underwhelming imo I'll give that a try

  7. 02:41:885 (1,2) - i get the spacing increase here for buildup here but why is this the largest spacing? plays a bit out of place since the next few jumps have higher buildup but less spacing Slightly reduced spacing I still wanna give this part largest spacing because I think vocal's tension relaxes a bit at 02:42:218 - , or at least that's how I feel xD
  8. 03:01:218 (4,1) - kind of a weird angle when moving from (4) to (1); maybe try to curve (1) inwards towards (4) so catch-in angle is a bit smoother?not sure if this actually affect playability, but both looks good imo. So I'll follow your advice~~

  10. 03:38:383 (7) - 1/1 gap here feels kind of lacking imo; maybe try 3/4 slider here for some slight vocal emphasis? I will remove if others agree with you, but I think this 1) lets player know it's 1/3 beat gap 2) blands well with darkening sb
  11. 04:05:047 (5) - imo the 1/4 buzz slider here isn't fast enough to match the piano. consider using a 1/8 buzz slider here from 25% play, I think 1/4 is the better option
  12. 04:09:547 (1,2,3,1,2,3,4,1) - interesting choice to have spacing decrease here because of quieter piano, but the drums are still pretty strong. you sure about this? Nope, I'm not sure, but if I had to pick, I'll keep it since overall intensity of music seem to decreaase
  13. 04:18:073 (2) - consider Ctrl + G here so that slider end points towards the next slider 04:18:740 (1) - . you will also have to Ctrl + G 04:16:073 (1) - 04:16:740 (2) - 04:17:407 (1) - if you take this suggestion I think it's fien with next slider being downbeat, and nobody follows reverse slider to the end ;)
  14. 04:30:080 (1) - starting to build up again, so slider here feels a little underwhelming. consider two circles instead? I like these circles ><; feels right to me... mmm... sliders....
If I need a logical explanation, I think it makes vocal at 04:30:417 (2,3) - stand out more
  15. 04:52:906 (1) - why new combo here? seems kind of unnecessary rip NC
  16. 05:02:738 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,1) - kind of a similar thing about a previous point; you're building up here and then choose to follow the quieter sections of music while drums are still really strong. just making sure if you're 100% certain on wanting this /w/

Maybe this can be solved if I can find another custom clap sounds, hopefully something very subtle. But again, I think the way it is hitsounded rn works fine too.
    2. 03:09:884 - add whistle
    3. 04:08:713 (2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,4) - add clap to all I prefer not to for same reason above
okay,that's all
if you want to follow the song correctly, consider these.

Regarding your suggestion on section ( 01:12:048 - 01:22:381 - and 02:24:053 - 02:34:719 - ) First of all, thanks for the detailed step by step procedure :3 I wasn't sure why you were making these suggestions, so I just created a new diff and followed everything you said and listened to how it sound compared to the way I've done it. Well, the upshot is that I like the way I've done it better. Maybe your suggestion is "correct" in following the sounds in the music. Still, it feels rather empty, and it sounds more interesting with more variant hitsounding. A lot of mappers add hitsounds that has absolutely no basis in the music, but still compliments the music well. I also think it is fine since I've done it in a way that's consistent. over the section. None of the previous modders pointed out any issue with the hitsounding in this section, and one of them thought this section in particular was very well done. So I'd like to keep the way it is.

Sorry if my explanation is bit incoherent/wordy. I'm just a bit tired rn :v

thanks for your patience

Thank you for the hitsouding help~

okay, I don't mind! I knew a correct way is just a "correct" way, not the best.
however, I also thought it could be a problem if you don't understand that correct way. all hitsounding (even if it is valued by much idea) should be based on correct way I think. I'm glad if my mod could be an opportunity to reconsider about hitsounding for you.
(probably, I should reconsider too about my modding style, so that I can respect mapper's style much more.)

thanks for your checking and reply!
anyway, good luck :3

Addressing big points

The Storyboard absolutely needs to be reduced in filesize. Use ONE or TWO backgrounds -- one fullsized for the real background, and one possibly B/W for storyboard, using the built in Color function whenever possible. If you absolutely need to include background variations as individual files (for physical differences), use smaller dimensions (usually 0.625 of normal, so 854x480) and keep them 250kb each

05:04:049 - I suggest a slower fade, until here 05:06:382 -, black til 05:06:735 -
-----
  1. I would use a lower AR. The map isn't very dense to warrant anything higher than 9
  2. 00:06:760 - This beginning section, consider using simpler slider shapes and sparser rhythm to preserve its humility and maybe slower sliders in general. Keep it delicate
  3. 00:32:730 (5,6,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2) - These circles don't need to be spaced so far. Just the fact you're changing from sliders to circles will provide enough emphasis. You can use the larger distances for the louder drums just before the melody kicks in
  4. 00:38:723 - Careful with you rhythm -- it's too predictable and boring ( S+C x 4 + C C S, repeated twice )
  5. 00:44:048 - I'd probably not go with whistle clap spam. Change the hitsounds to something that's not as obtrusive. Also don't have them on every note
  6. 01:14:048 (4,5) - Drum claps are too much. Drum finishes are probably better, and I would also not make these have the same hitsounds; they sound really awkward in their current state
  7. 02:02:743 - maybe consider restructuring this section? it's not on par with the rest of the map
  8. 02:26:053 (4,5) - yeah these drums x_x
  9. 03:55:381 - Maybe more variation here. Get more creative :p
  10. 04:01:047 (1) - These kind of sliders in this section can be built more creatively I think
  11. 04:10:381 (3,4,1) - Might be cool if you can differentiate these better. maybe make them super close like 0.8x distance snap and in a line :)
  12. 04:16:073 (1) - The first four of these are fine, the next three get boring
  13. 04:45:382 (1,2,3,1,2,3,4,5,6) - I think you're missing the point in the song here, I would make this part the highlight of the map. Don't follow exactly the vocals, focus on the drums as well, especially this 04:46:715 -
  14. 05:04:132 - spinner?
also I would recommend a higher quality mp3 http://puu.sh/rdLLO/32c0db3d26.mp3
offset 180, assuming first timing point is 180.00 bpm. I would have made it have the same offset as your current mp3 but I failed like five times :(

Hi >v<

Per Caffe's request, here're the compressed images. From 8mb to 3mb o/

iClick

Regarding the previous mod, I don't think it's really necessary to re-scale it. Since a bunch of SB used 1366x768 res too, and for the most part, sb load is fine. I admit that the sizes are really heavy, so it should be good now. And for your suggestion of re-coloring, that'd also be unnecessary giving that the whole code needs to be changed and ain't nobody got time fo dat. This way should fine and faster (you have 30mb limit anyway @@, chill)

Btw I'm also curious why you choose the bg to be yosuga no sora instead of guilty crown hmmm :v

  1. I would use a lower AR. The map isn't very dense to warrant anything higher than 9 I think plus or minus 2 AR is mostly down to personal preference, and I lean toward higher AR. I prefer to keep 9.2
  2. 01:14:048 (4,5) - Drum claps are too much. Drum finishes are probably better, and I would also not make these have the same hitsounds; they sound really awkward in their current state Changed to drum finish. The drum in the music sounds the same tho, so same hitsound sounds seems fine to me
  3. 02:02:743 - maybe consider restructuring this section? it's not on par with the rest of the map
  4. 03:55:381 - Maybe more variation here. Get more creative :p This is my favorite pattern in the whole map xD I'd really like to keep it as is
  5. 04:10:381 (3,4,1) - Might be cool if you can differentiate these better. maybe make them super close like 0.8x distance snap and in a line :) :)
  6. 04:16:073 (1) - The first four of these are fine, the next three get boring I see, but I don't have a better idea, and I think it's not as boring when you're playing. Time goes slower in the editor ;^) It's only 3 more seconds
  7. 05:04:132 - spinner? No spinner feels better to me... I just feel, you know ;^)
also I would recommend a higher quality mp3 http://puu.sh/rdLLO/32c0db3d26.mp3
offset 180, assuming first timing point is 180.00 bpm. I would have made it have the same offset as your current mp3 but I failed like five times :( THanks a lot for going into that trouble... but IDK if I want to replace it tbh. I think the mp3 file you gave me is from different release. The one I'm using is from Zigaexperientia (hence "Album Mix"). It sounds little different, and I think maybe that's why you (and others) think quality is poor...? idk. But the Kokuhaku in sold digitally on Amazon sounds just like the mp3 I'm using (as far as I can tell), and different from the one you provided...
Deleted = fixed and no comment

No reply = I'll consider fix when I am less tired and able to think more clearly Dx

First mod in 3 month xD thanks a lot!

@Astarte Thanks for the compressed images~

As for not using Guilty Crown BG, I didn't want to tie it too much with that Anime for several reasons... But I think it's ok because this song's part of Zigaexperientia album, not explicitly tied to Guilty Crown.

[Alternate Ending]

  1. 00:43:548 (6,1) - ew the overlap thoo lol, <3

  2. 01:10:549 (7) - shouldn't 7 follow the same pattern as the notes before? like wouldn't it be better to place it somewhere like here http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/6303776 ?

  3. 04:10:714 (1) - why nc? it was following the pattern of 2 prev. notes and the note itself isnt really outstanding or whatsoever, so i think it would be better to just take nc off? lol

  4. 03:00:384 (3,1) - move 3 a bit to the side lol

[Alternate Ending]

  1. 00:43:548 (6,1) - ew the overlap thoo lol, <3 ew indeed <3

  2. 01:10:549 (7) - shouldn't 7 follow the same pattern as the notes before? like wouldn't it be better to place it somewhere like here http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/6303776 ? changed DS so it has same emphasis. I think change makes transition more interesting, so flow is kept

  3. 04:10:714 (1) - why nc? it was following the pattern of 2 prev. notes and the note itself isnt really outstanding or whatsoever, so i think it would be better to just take nc off? lol I am a simple man, I put NC on downbeat and sleep like a baby

  4. 03:00:384 (3,1) - move 3 a bit to the side lol nice catch

00:32:235 (4) - I think this repeat slider can change into a silder & a circle I am not sure if it's good idea to increase clicking density too much here
00:44:048 (1) - hitsound here is a little strange for me I'm getting mixed feedback for this sound but I like :3
01:37:577 (2,5) - you can make a blanket here Didn't blanket but made them nearter
01:54:076 (5,6) - ^ feels forced
02:04:061 (2,3,4,1) - ^ I just want 02:04:061 (2) - to be symmetric wave slider and 02:05:380 (1) - is already blanket
01:38:410 (6,1) - really dislike this pattern changed
04:51:726 (4,1) - distance here is too large here reduced a bit
others are fine to me
