NPT 4KMania Tournament [#4,000-#15,000] Concluded

Since the 4KMWC will start for its 3rd consecutive year, we've decided to host a tournament for those who are unable to participate in the world cup and would like to prove their skills to the osu!mania Community. In other words, if you were unable to join the 4KMWC because of rank issues, this is a tournament for you

Tournament Rules

  • *This is a 1v1 single elimination tournament, meaning, one match lost and you are out, no second chances.
    *Matches played will be a BO7, meaning that first to win 4 maps, wins the match
    [list:1337]*Semifinals and finals will be set BO9, because more maps = more fun (?)
*Matches will be played on weekends, going from Friday night onwards (we'll try to avoid having matches on Fridays tho)
*This tournament is only for players who are ranked from #4,000-#15,000
  • *You need to be between this range by the time you join this tournament.
    **If you surpass this range, you'll be removed from the tournament, so be careful with that. But if, for example, you are #4,987 by the time the tournament starts, an exception can be made.
*Max number of players for this tournament will be 16.
*This tournament will only be 4K.
*Only Hidden, Flashlight and Fade In mods will be allowed for use in the tournament, all other mods are forbidden for use
*There will be one ban for each player per match.
*Mappools' difficulty will range around 3.75-4.5*
  • *Tiebreaker will only be played when match score reaches 3-3, except on Semifinals/Finals, where it will be played when score reaches 4-4.
*Before the match starts, 2 warmups will be played, one chosen by each player
  • *Warmup needs to be Mania 4K (no other modes/keymodes), and cannot be longer than 5 minutes nor Not Submitted beatmaps
*Mappools will be released one week before the matches.
*Any problem/doubt you have regarding this tournament, you are free to PM me (not in-game pls) or post your concerns in this thread.
How to register

To register this tournament, you will have to post/PM me this information:
  • Username
    osu!mania Rank
    UTC of your country
UTC will be used to try avoiding unconventional times.

Anyone who fails to comply with this will be ignored until he/she follows the right registering procedure.

Registration Closed: July 28th (mappool for RO32 will be released this day too)
Round of 16: Starts August 5th
Quarter-Finals: Starts August 12th
Semifinals: Starts August 19th
Finals: Starts August 26th

Since osu!SOFT I've been playing quite a bit so I'm excited to join another tourney (if I can make any games at all XD).
I might not be able to attend every weekend day depending on time of each match and my sporatic schedule (and I went through a lot of difficulty during osu!SOFT just to get eliminated after all that trouble) but I'll try my best! (If I'm properly registered that is :3)!!

tfw too high rank for this but too low rank for MWC.

There really needs to be more mania tournaments, I love the competitive nature of them!

Agreed! I want to compete in a tournament so bad.

But we need more tournaments that aren't just for the top players (even though they are really cool to watch), like this one. Mania doesn't seem to have as many tournaments as the other game modes, and the few I do see are dominated by the pros.

This looks interesting though. I'll definitely follow it!

I also agree with everything!
osu!SOFT was an amazing tournament although dominated by pros (I had to go head to head against bumpinho in my second round :( ) but being majorly better than my osu!SOFT self, I really hope more mania!tourneys are done in the future. Heck, I might even try to host one if I get a huge break (although that chance might be slim currently).

Well, with only 4 days left for registrations and with shortage of players, I decided to apply some last resort changes to the rank range. I decided to increase the maximum range from #5,000 to #4,000 and the minimum range from #10,000 to #15,000. KEEP IN MIND THE DIFFICULTY OF THE MAPPOOLS WILL STILL BE THE SAME. It will range from 3.75 stars up to 4.5 stars.

Also, I have to reduce the max number of players to 16, as with 4 days left, it's practically impossible to get such amount at this point. With only 5 players left for 16 players, it's a more realistic approach tbh.

Finally, mappool will still be released this Thrusday along with the closing of the registrations (but if not enough players join, I'll be forced to wait another week). Schedule will be worked on as soon as the registrations go full, and will probably be released this Sunday or the next Sunday if registrations get delayed for a week.

Anyways, just some decorative number of players here:
