Both. But relax > AP because difference in aim is ridiculous when playing AP.
If you just want to soly rely on tapping then play taiko instead of auto pilot.
For me, auto pilot fucks up my rhythm for some reason and relax fucks up my snapping

As a player who has shitty tracking ability, I prefer auto pilot. I can fc some insane maps while on that mode only... sad
