Fullscreen jumps when there is barely any change in music intensity.

Example one, Taeyang's Extra

Example two, Sonnyc's Expert

If the song would have been actually consistently intense, I might slightly understand your point of view, but it's quite a calm song too.

There isn't even a consistent spacing either, it's one or two (yes I'm having to say this) pp patterns at the beginning of the map and one in the kiai, the rest of the song is just braindead 3 stars.

People with this amount of experience shouldn't do this, especially not in a mapset going for ranked.

I'm gonna politely ask you not to rank this, from a player's point of view.

A proper map should follow musical intensity with it's difficulty spikes and do that consistently, neither of which is happening here. This is common mapping sense.
Overmap is rarely accepted and only accepted when the song gives room for it and it is done properly. This is not overmapping, this is just plain overdone.

Your arguments are just as bland and basic as they can get, because the things you are defending don't even make sense.

I personally think it's better to not keep quiet and give constructive criticism if you don't like something, not just ignoring it, but each to their own right? It'd be silly for people to just not post things they don't like about the map just because there is other options.

That's the problem here. You generalize.
calm parts are mapped correctly, but i really wonder how star rating can be retarded (6.00) with just a few long jumps, while the rest of the map is pretty simple to play. People complain about pps, i don't care about pp.
This map sounds rhythmically fine concerning patterns, but the way they are placed is like "let's place this long jump haha this is so difficult i'm so proud of myself"

Honestly imo the "intense" parts of the song really don't deserve the jumps.
There's hardly any change and it's just 1/2 spam mapped over nothing.
Clearly mapped for "haha xd look at my 176 bpm ar9.4 map that's 6* for 5 seconds that I can rank lol"
Aside from the extras I don't see anything wrong with the other difficulties.

As there is a healthy amount of discussion, I'm deciding to take it down until you've found a consensus with the community.

I do agree that some jumps are partially way too high. It is nothing new and starts to get really boring, I don't get why people keep doing it. The maps are generally fine and actually offer cool patterns - why is there a need to make it ridiculously difficult all of a sudden? we all know the reason yet no one wants to admit it

00:13:961 (1,2,3,1,2,3) - Why do you change the structure of these jumps, they're representing the same drum patterns as 00:11:234 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,1,2,3,1,2,3) - where I agree with how you mapped those, having (2) and (3) be stacked near eachother makes sense as they're both the same drum. Then it just changes into big jumps for no reason, like, you've taken the same rhythm and mapped it in two different ways. How do you justify this?

00:27:768 (2) - Literally nothing exists here. This little jump section (00:27:596 (1,2,1,2) - ) would be far better mapped as two sliders to follow those two sustained sounds. I'm all for mapping what the song feels like at that moment, but you'd think something would actually have to exist there for the player to click on, right?

00:49:415 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) - Wow it's the same rhythm from earlier again, and it's mapped differently again!

01:07:313 (2) - I mentioned this in my last post but I'll flesh it out more here. So re-iterating that this has no sound, and it's also grouped in with these previous jumps 01:06:120 (2,3,1,2,1,2) - in the same pattern. For those jumps, I'm happy with how they're mapped and I think they represent the music well, but then 01:07:143 (1,2) - comes along and does the same thing, hell it's even bigger than the previous ones. Ironic how I'm trying to get you to make this easier but then I think 01:07:143 (1) - should be a lot more spaced than it currently is, if we're talking about the "feel" of the song and the mapping before hand, this is the jump that should be cross-screen. Not 01:07:313 (2) - , with its, uh, nothing. Hell, 01:07:654 (1) - only has a light vocal on it but then it's even bigger yet than 01:07:143 (1) -

^That paragraph was a big jumble of words that took me like 15 minutes to sort out properly and it still might not make coherent sense, so I'll just summarize.

01:07:143 (1) - Should break from the pattern and have a larger spacing
01:07:313 (2) - Should have much less spacing / not exist as a clickable object
01:07:654 (1) - Should not have the biggest spacing in this section

01:17:029 (2,3,4,5,6) - It surprises me that you don't put more big jumps here since it's the same kind of thing as the jumps I talked about in the last paragraph. I'll include this in here because this part is kinda short but 01:17:029 (2) - the sliderend has a higher pitch note than the slider start, so why do you give the weaker note priority over the stronger note, clicking wise?

While modding this I noticed that you've overmapped some parts and undermapped others, I think for the interest of a good, accurate, fun map you should tone down the overmapped / overdone parts and buff the undermapped parts for a more even difficulty throughout the map. Can't we both agree on that?

It's a shame because I quite like this song but I don't feel it's represented well enough

apart from the screen jumps, i dont see anything wrong at all at Sonnyc's Diff. it very well meets my expectatios of an Expert-diff. if you just generally think about what difficulties in the game would look like, this would be a perfect example imo. i didnt even look at any other diff yet, but this diff itself is really good
