[resolved] [confirmed] Cutting-edge "Account password has been reset"

Problem Details:
When I try to log into the osu! website, there are no problems, but when I try to login to the osu! client (the game) I am given the following message:
"Your account has been reset. Please click here to create a new password!"

Alright, so I click the link, and it takes me to the website and I am told that "You're already logged in, silly!"
So I log out and click on the link in the client again. This takes me to this web page:
https://osu.ppy.sh/p/forgot?forgot=N33tie&reason=weak

So I create a new (and stronger) password, and the system accepts this new password. Then I restart the client and log in again. Then I am promted with the exact same error message even though I just reset my password. I tried changing it 3 times and it still appears. How can I get osu! to accept my new password? Thanks in advance.

This is an issue with Cutting Edge. If you go back to Stable, it should work fine.

You were right. I swapped to the beta version instead and I am now logged in with no problems. Thanks for the quick answer!

Just gonna mark this one as confirmed for the time being to try and bring awareness to this issue so people don't make duplicate posts.

As Lanturn said, If you are experience this, Just switch to Stable Latest or Beta and it should work.

This has happened to me and I have a fix: just restart your game again after you've reset your password and it'll work. You still have to log in manually for the first time though.

I'm currently having this problem with Stable (Latest). I can't login into game and I also changed my password many times using numbers and caps... Still nothing.

EDIT: I fixed it by going to a fallback version, logging on and then going back to Latest.
