A bit confused on the widescreen setting. According to the explanation in https://osu.ppy.sh/wiki/Storyboarding, the option "widescreen support" is corresponding to a feature supporting the widescreen storyboard, and actually under the "design" list. Some experienced mappers told me so. Therefore I used to believe it should be disabled if there's no storyboard in the mapset. Could you please explain why it should be enabled here?

Hi Adol Christin, widescreen support is just an optional setting when you have the storyboard on your map, and we make it consistent in all difficulties for better show or in case someone forgets to check it. However, if your map doesn't have storyboard, no matter the widescreen support is checked or not, it affects nothing on the map, even if they are not consistent in all difficulties. IIRC, it will get checked automaically after we create a new dificulty too.
I thought your concern is more like a feature request issue but not a beatmap ranking-related issue. It does be a bit strange when there is no storyboard. A better feature is, if the map doesn't have storyboard, it shouldn't get checked automatically after creating the new difficulty, the option will be disabled and you can't change anything on it in all ways(editor, code).

Hmm. So that means the widescreen option just needs to be consistent in all difficulties, no matter if it's enabled or not. Actually if it does have effect on the map without storyboard, the tick should be gray.(or it's just Peppy who is not happy with extra work lmao)

It doesn't need to be consistent too. Sometimes we use storyboard in different difficulties and want them be different effect, so it makes sense. Currently we only make it consistent which is a "had better do" thing, it isn't restricted by any ranking crieteria, its meaning is even less than a space error in metadata imo.

Only played normal and easy (well played hard as well and got stomped). My only suggestion would be tweak the ending spinners a bit. Compared to the rest of the beatmap, it seems like more effort is used to spin the circle than clicking the rest of the map.
