Thanks again, kibb ~
Thanks for the mod, can't update due to the bubble, but if the chance comes I'll most likely fix those.neatvidya wrote:
I think the beginning could run a bit slower and a bit smoother.
00:05:617 (2,3) could have just a tiny bit more space in between them or maybe the first slider could be extended a tad. I'm not so sure about that, rhythm is pretty calm and we have a 2.55x jump here already. Pushing it further than it already is would be kinda awkward I think. Also this jump here is not as intense as the one at 00:04:163 (3,1) so it pays off IMO to have a lesser jump here.
The streams early on certainly fit well but 00:09:981 (1,2,3,4) it's a bit hard to hear where it correlates with the music unless you have your hitsounds muted. I could rethink this one if a BN points it as an issue, but I can hear the percussion just fine?
00:13:981 (3) Slider could be tilted upwards towards the next circle so that the cursor flows a little better. sure
00:14:356 (4,5,6) feels a bit too snippy for this point in the song Yeah, I probably should rethink this
Aside from my nitpicking, this map is really good. Overall it flows nice and it's fun to play
Thanks!RealGamer78 wrote:
The map is amazing, but I see unnecessary NC in these parts:
00:31:799
00:32:163
00:32:526
I mark all sv changes with a NC, it's a personal preference
01:35:981
01:44:708
03:11:981
These were made due to IRC suggestions to make the 1/4 jumps stand out more to the player
01:46:526
03:13:799
04:41:072
These were placed because the buzz sliders are 1/8 and the map is 3/4 but I guess I could remove them?
I hope help you.
PD:Sorry for my bad english.
Thank you for checking, glad you liked the mapSynergyze wrote:
Really like the song choice, so I came here to give my small input. Also, haven't modded in a while.Overall, Aesthetics and Hitsounds are VERY good! I don’t see any more problems with flow or object placement.
- 00:47:799 (5) - a small percussion sound can be heard. You can use a ¼ slider instead of a circle (albeit it’s not very noticeable so it could be ignored)
- 00:52:163 (5) - same with the one above
I mean, yeah, there's a kick there but it's so subtle I hadn't heard it even though I've heard this song like a million times, lol
I think I'm going to skip it, mostly because it's so soft it would probably feel weird to play IMO (especially since we have parts like 00:46:708 (7,8) which don't have a sound there inbetween) and also I haven't been maping 1/4 jumps really except for some specific parts of the song.- 02:04:526 (1. 4) - Slider end does not emphasize any sound, red ticks have a sound so I feel like that should be emphasized more (change to ½). This also applies to similar parts in other Kiai.
- 02:13:254 (1, 4) - This part, however, is an exception to the last one, since there is no sound being ignored.
It was a conscious change in my part. The sound on those red ticks follows the flute, and I was mainly going for the drums for pretty much all the mapset. The drum sounds here are mainly placed on the white ticks, but you can hear some soft drum hits at places like 02:04:799 and 02:04:981 . If I only emphasized the white ticks we would have nothing but 1/2 sliders for about ~15 seconds, which I felt was really boring while testplaying. Out of all the less pronounced drum sounds I felt the ones at 02:04:799 and 02:05:890 were the most audible, so I introduced some extended sliders to break the boredom and make the rhythm pattern a little bit more interesting. Or that was the intention, anyway.
I could play with/change these if needed though.
Good luck! Hope this helps!

- 00:23:435 (4,5) - You may want to put 00:23:981 (5) below slider 4 instead, the current flow in 00:23:981 (5,1,2) don't work well when they are in same direction but with such big difference in distance I kinda think having the 5 where it was helped since it made the player make a kinda circular flow, which was the reason I put it there, but sure
- 01:46:526 (1) - I think it is better to end the slider on 01:46:708 since here is where the sound effect stops
- 01:55:254 (6) - ^ well you actually did it lol, right now it is inconsistent
- 03:13:799 (1) - 04:41:072 (1) - Same as 01:46:526 (1)
Fixed, had to change the patterns a bit to make the next sliders work tho- 03:55:799 (1,2,3) - Reduce the distance between 03:56:890 (2,3), they are having different time interval between
Fixed, though I'm not sure if it's better now, lol. It worked for me while testplaying so I guess it's fine?
call me back :3
Thanks, updated!Strategas wrote:
hello
00:33:617 (5,6,1,2) - your flow sucks here due to copypasting patterns, could solve it by doing something like http://i.imgur.com/vLfHdH0.jpg and adusting 00:35:072 (1,2) - after I don't think the flow was that bad, but sure, fixed
00:42:163 (2) - starting sliders on weaker beats than they end on suck most of the time 00:42:163 (2,3) - ctrl + g rhythm wise is better sure
02:05:617 (4,5,6) - alright so I notice you do this often but spacing 1/4 gaps and 1/2 gaps the same can get really misleading, either 02:05:617 (4,5) - should be much closer or 02:05:981 (5,6) - should be further away or do both.
examples of good 02:06:708 (1,2,3) - 02:13:254 (1,2,3) - 02:14:345 (4,5,6) - etc.
examples of bad: 02:40:163 (3,4,5,6) - 02:50:345 (1,2,3,4,5) - 04:59:072 (1,2,3) - 05:00:163 (4,5,6) - etc. you should take a closer look at these throughout the map and make sure spacing indication is set up more consistently. So I've gone through the map several times, I think I've fixed the most problematic ones by shortening the distance between the 1/4 gaps. Also improved the 1/2's a bit I hope.
the rest is ok
Fixed, I changed a bit the patterns at 02:40:163 (3,4) - 02:41:254 (6,1) to make some more space, I don't think I can space them further there without breaking the pattern choices I was going for.Strategas wrote:
ok looks better now, just some of those 1/4 1/2 things to change:
02:15:799 (2,3,4) - 02:40:163 (3,4) - 02:41:254 (6,1) - 05:10:345 (2,3,4) - I think need more spacing between these as they are only a bit more spaced than those 1/4 gap thingies
